Abstract

One of the indicators that determine a country's health status is the high and low number of the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Meanwhile, the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW) is one of the main determining factors that contribute to the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Many factors cause an increase in the number of IMR, one of which is parity. This study aims to determine the relationship between parity and low birth weight (LBW) in Cendrawasih Dobo Hospital, Aru Islands Regency. This study uses analytical research with a "retrospective" research design. The dependent variable is parity and the independent variable is LBW. The population in this study were all mothers who had LBW in Cendrawasih Dobo Hospital, Aru Islands Regency in 2020 as many as 42 mothers with LBW babies. Sampling using a total sampling technique. The study was conducted from July 1 to August 31, 2020, using secondary data, and analyzed using the Spearman Ranks statistical test. The results showed that almost half of the primiparous mothers gave birth to LBW babies, namely 15 babies (35.7%) and most of the multipara mothers gave birth to 22 LBW babies (52.4%). Based on the results of statistical tests using Spearman Rho with = 0.05) the value of count (0.470) > r table (0.257) then H1 is accepted, H0 is rejected, this means that there is a parity relationship with low birth weight (LBW).There were that not only high parity has the potential for LBW births, but even low parity has the potential to occur LBW births considering that there are many factors that can influence it, not only in terms of maternal parity. Health agencies can make efforts to prevent the occurrence of LBW by improving the quality of health services.

Abstract

Constipation occurs in about 11-13% of pregnancies by symptoms of difficulty on defecating, lower abdominal pain and frequency of passing stools of 3 times a week, causing discomfort and anxiety for pregnant women. The study was to determine the relationship between physical activity and constipation. The research method is correlation analytic cross sectional approach. Data retrieval is from June to December 2020 at Praktik Mandiri (midwifery services) at Jatikalang Kec. Prambon, Sidoarjo. Population: All 3rd trimester pregnant women totaled 37 people in 2020, or it is called total population sample. Collecting data is by direct questionnaire on statements of light physical activity, moderate physical activity and heavy physical activity. Data analysis uses simple correlation test statistics.Research results indicate that pregnant women who experience constipation do more light activities are 13 people (100%, moderate physical activity are of 13 people (92.9%) than those who are not constipated on heavy physical activity as many as 10 people (100%), moderate physical activity being 1 person (7.1%).The results of the statistical test of the correlation between physical activity and constipation in pregnant women have positive value of 0.821, indicating very strong correlation between physical activity and constipation, significant (2-tailed) 0.00 < 0.01, the higher the physical activity of pregnant women, the higher the occurrence of constipation. Conclusions from this study; There is a strong relationship between physical activity and constipation in pregnant women, namely light physical activity and moderate physical activity less than 30 minutes at risk of constipation. Suggestions for preventing constipation can be done by doing physical activity more than 30 minutes a day, consuming high-fiber nutritional diet and drinking enough mineral water to prevent constipation in pregnancy.

Abstract

Relaxation is a non-pharmacological pain control method which is widely used in the UK. Steer explains that as many as 34 percent of patients use this relaxation method. This pain control technique, including relaxation techniques, teaches the patient to always minimize the activity of the sympathetic and autonomic nervous systems. Relaxation can also be said as a process of making the body and mind rest from all kinds of physical burdens as well as psychological burdens, making the patient calmer. This relaxation technique can make the blood circulation in the uterus, placenta, and fetus smooth so that the need for oxygen and food in the fetus is met. Good blood circulation will cause the muscles that are directly related to the womb as well as the fetus such as the pelvic, abdominal and back muscles to become loose and weak. While at the time of labor, relaxation makes the contraction process will take place naturally, safely, and smoothly. In addition to relaxing the patient, knowledge of how to breathe properly can also help overcome some of the difficulties commonly experienced by pregnant patients. The design of this study used a prospective cohort descriptive design. The population in this study were pregnant women during childbirth at BPM Suprapti, S. ST, M Case. Replacing Gresik as many as 20 people. The procedure of this study was carried out by implementing the application of intranatal relaxation to pregnant women during labor whose clients had previously received an explanation of the research and had signed a letter of approval. relaxation therapy. Of the 10 people who received relaxation therapy, it was known that 10 gave birth normally with the duration of labor from the first stage of the active phase until the baby was born for 3 hours. While 10 respondents who did not receive relaxation therapy, it was found that 5 people experienced normal labor with the length of the labor process starting from the first stage until the baby was born for 6 hours, 2 people were referred because of the prolonged active phase while 3 people were not yet inpartu.

Abstract

Children's skills are closely related to motor development. Motorism is the development of controlling body movements through coordinated activities between nervous, muscle and brain structures. Motor development includes gross motor and fine motor. Both of these abilities are very important so that children can develop optimally. The research design used in this study was Pre-Experiment by using the type of research one group pre testpost test design. The population in this study was 40 students with purposive sampling sampling technique. The independent variable in this study is the painting activity while the dependent variable is fine motor development. The measuring instrument used was the denver II test and then analyzed by testing the Wilcoxon hypothesis with α = 0.05. The results of fine motor development before painting activities of 40 respondents almost entirely 28 respondents (70%) in the category of children need to get stimulation and after treatment the painting activity was almost entirely 32 respondents (80%) categorized as normal children. Wilcoxon test results showed ρ value = 0.000 ≤ α = 0.05 so that H1 was accepted. In conclusion there is the influence of painting activities on fine motor skills in pre-school children aged 4-6 years. The results of the development of fine motor skills are influenced by painting activities that help improve the development of children's creativity. So, mothers are expected to be able to train children through painting activities as a facility to develop fine motor development creativity in children.
