Abstract

This research aims to examine the esoteric dimensions of ecological verses in the interpretation of Ruh al-ma'ani fi tafsiril Al-Qur'an al-azhim wa as-sab'il matsani by Imam Al-Alusi. This tafsir is known for its in-depth approach to the inner meaning of the Koran, including aspects of inner interpretation in ecological verses that are neglected in other research. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research type of research which uses library data sources as a reference. This research is descriptive analytical in nature to explore how al-Alusi interprets verses relating to the environment and the universe. The research findings try to show that Imam Al-Alusi not only discusses the zahir (exoteric) meaning of ecological verses, but also explores the inner (esoteric) meaning which includes the spiritual relationship between humans and nature, human moral responsibility in preserving the environment, as well as the role of nature as signs of God's greatness. This research highlights the relevance of esoteric interpretation in facing contemporary ecological challenges and invites readers to reflect on the deep meaning of Al-Quran verses related to ecology.

Abstract

In the Qur'an, there are three types of words: (1) words that have only one meaning; (2) words that contain other meanings; (3) words whose meanings require further explanation. One term in the Qur'an that is interesting to study due to its derivative meanings is al-nur, which contains additional meanings and still requires further clarification. This article aims to examine and analyze the contextual meanings of the term al-nur in the Qur'an. This research is a library research, and the method used is descriptive-analytical, with a thematic tafsir approach. After thematically studying and collecting verses that mention al-nur, the researcher finds that al-nur in the Qur'an has derivative meanings, including the Essence of Allah, Islam, faith, the Qur'an and other books of Allah, the light given by Allah to the believers in the Hereafter, and the light of the sun and moon. Specifically, the meaning of al-nur encompasses both material and spiritual aspects. In conclusion, the derivative meanings of al-nur depend on the context of the verse and the narratives that explain its meaning. However, despite the differences in the meanings of al-nur in the Qur'an, they are still interconnected. If arranged in order, it is understood that the source of all light is the Essence of Allah, which manifests as light, and this light illuminates the heavens and the earth, whether in a spiritual or material form.

Abstract

This article discusses the political and religious influences on the development of hadith studies in Yemen during the 7th-10th centuries CE. Yemen, as one of the centers of Islamic scholarship, played an important role in the transmission and teaching of hadith. This study explores how political conditions such as changes in power and the influence of schools of thought influenced the methodology of hadith studies in Yemen. The different approaches between the Sunni and Zaydi schools are also examined as factors that enrich, as well as challenge, efforts to standardize hadith methodology in the region. Using a historical and social approach, the study highlights the dynamic relationship between political power and the development of hadith scholarship as well as how educational institutions played a role in propagating different understandings. The results show that the development of hadith in Yemen was not only influenced by theological aspects but also by complex social and political dynamics.

Abstract

The study of hadith requires methodological requirements for hadith which seem very complicated, because understanding hadith must go through two phases, namely the originality research phase of the hadith and the content analysis (matan) phase of the hadith. In this discussion, the hadith that will be analyzed is the hadith about the country that Allah loves is the mosque and the country that is hated is the market, which is quoted from the book Shahih Ibn Hibban written by Imam Ibnu Hibban. Among the scholars who are classified as transmitters of mutasahil, one of them is Ibn Hibban. In essence, a mosque is noble, not because it is noble in essence, but because of the virtuous human behavior in it, such as dhikr, reading Qur’an, prayers, and knowledge gatherings. In conclusion, the second hadith of places that Allah loves and hates is that Allah hates markets because of the evil done by humans in them, both in terms of commerce and communication between people. There is nothing wrong with activities in the market as long as we can protect ourselves from actions that can harm others or even things that can distract us from God. Through the analysis of the Takhrij Hadith we find that the degree of the hadith that has been discussed is authentic, there is no syadz or 'illah in the matan, the degree of the narrators of most of the tsiqqah strengthens this hadith so it can be concluded that this hadith is authentic and acceptable. This hadith is included in the marfu' hadith because it is attributed directly to Rasulullah SAW, and is a qauli hadith or words of the Prophet to a friend, namely Abu Hurairah. There is no shawahid in the transmission of this hadith because of Rasulullah SAW. Just convey it to Abu Hurairah.

Abstract

Plurality is inevitable. There is no single reality in this life. Humans are destined by God to have tribes and nations with different physical characteristics, thoughts, cultures, religions, ideologies, and traditions. These differences often cause tension and prolonged conflict and often result in loss of life. Of all the differences, religion is assumed to be the one that most often triggers conflict, because religion is the most fundamental and sensitive thing for every human being. Religious conflicts, both internal and inter-religious, can occur due to several factors such as differences in beliefs, differences in interpretation, religious fanaticism, and intervention from outside interests. It is important to provide an understanding to religious people that religious differences must be addressed with an awareness of religious pluralism. Religious pluralism is understood as an understanding that recognizes the existence of other religions outside of one's religion and respects them to practice the teachings of one's religion. Religious pluralism does not justify other religions, let alone consider them the same. Religious pluralism views that each religious person still holds a strong commitment to their respective religions. One effort that can be done to reduce religious conflict is to build awareness of religious spirituality in each religious adherent. Being religious is not just a formulation of rituals of worship, in fact the practice of rituals of worship is a form of presentation of a person's religious spirituality, which then the devout person must present himself in the form of a human being with noble morals. So religious spirituality must be implemented in the form of obedience to worship which then produces humans with noble morals. Thus, religious people whose level of religious spirituality is good should respect religious differences and dislike religious conflicts.
