Abstract

This research aims to design and implement an information system to recapitulate goods receipt and delivery transactions. Previously, this process used Microsoft Excel, which required manual data copying, took a long time, and required daily, weekly, and monthly printing and reporting. In addition, the application used was not stored in a database and was not integrated with the network, making data processing inefficient. In order to overcome this problem, the research developed a database programming-based information system with the waterfall method for the design stage. System modelling is done with the Unified Modeling Language (UML). This research produces a needs analysis, system design using UML, and nine tables supporting the system. Testing is done with black box testing and direct trials by users involved in data management, showing satisfactory results. Implementing the system using PHP programming and MySQL database resulted in a web-based application that accelerates the recapitulation process, stores data in the database, and is integrated with the network. This application is proven to speed up data processing. The application needs to be improved with more complex technology and compatible with various smartphones for further development. In addition, the app needs a dashboard feature to display the number of daily monthly deliveries, as well as the income of each officer. Increasing the number of human resources capable of maintaining the system is also important to ensure its sustainability and efficiency.

Abstract

Coffee Shop faces challenges in marketing its products and needs a corporate website that can showcase its profile, products, and online ordering services to increase customer affordability and convenience. The business still relies on social media, WhatsApp, and phone calls to conduct transactions, which often confuses potential buyers and reduces their interest in purchasing the products. To overcome this problem, research was conducted to design and implement an effective website as a promotional and informational tool. The website was developed with a database programming base using the waterfall system design method, following five main stages: requirements analysis, system design, program code writing, program testing, and program implementation. The Unified Modeling Language (UML) selection as a modeling tool ensures that the system analysis and design are well structured. The results of this research include four diagrams and six tables that support the structure and functionality of the website. The website was tested using the black box testing method on a local server, with results showing that the system successfully promoted and provided detailed information to potential customers. The available search function allows customers to easily search for products based on keywords, making ordering more efficient.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a web-based information system for domestic sea transportation services of goods owned by a Limited Liability Company. Currently, the Limited Liability Company faces challenges in administrating goods due to the time-consuming recording process and using Excel applications that are prone to manual errors, accompanied by inaccuracies due to the absence of an integrated database system. The information system developed uses the waterfall approach for system design and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for modelling, resulting in a requirements analysis, UML-based system design, and eight database tables that support system functionality. The use of PHP programming and MySQL database in the system implementation resulted in a web application that allows PT NSE to manage administration in a timely and accurately, with reports stored in the database. To enhance the executive dashboard of the domestic sea transportation service information system for goods, revamping the display for more visual and informative data presentation is essential. Additionally, integrating an Excel export feature will facilitate further data processing by relevant parties. Adequate resources must be allocated to maintain and manage the system effectively, ensuring seamless and sustainable operation. By implementing this information system, the Limited Liability Company is expected to boost administrative efficiency and accuracy, thereby solidifying its position in Indonesia's logistics service industry.

Abstract

This research focuses on digital transformation at the Try Jaya Mobil workshop, which relies on manual processes for recording spare parts sales transactions and generating financial reports. This manual process causes various challenges, such as mismatches between incoming data and orders and a lack of historical sales records that hinder data search and analysis. The absence of a computerized system also reduces stock management and customer service efficiency. This research uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method to design a more sophisticated spare parts monitoring information system. The Rapid Application Development approach enables iterative and rapid software development, involving users at every stage. The information system is designed to improve accuracy, speed, and operational efficiency and enable better stock recording and monitoring. The results show that implementing a RAD-based information system can significantly improve customer service and Try Jaya Mobil's competitiveness in the market. Evaluation of the system after implementation showed improvements in operational efficiency, data accuracy, and user satisfaction. With this digital transformation, Try Jaya Mobil is expected to optimize its services and strengthen its competitive automotive industry position.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an innovative decision support system to assist students of SMK Ibnu Sina in selecting universities in Batam City according to their preferences. In order to make the right decision, prospective students must survey information about Batam City universities. With this information, prospective students can assess universities based on accreditation, registration fees, facilities, convenience, and study programs offered to choose the university that best suits their educational needs. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with a waterfall model is used as a framework to design an effective web-based information system. Data was collected through literature studies and interviews with counseling teachers to establish essential criteria in the college selection process. Based on the results of this analysis, the developed information system includes features such as criteria weighting using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, alternative evaluation, and college ranking. Thus, this SPK is designed to provide accurate and reliable recommendations, expected to increase students' confidence in making decisions regarding colleges that best suit their needs and goals.
