Abstract

This study aims to analyze the historical transformation of children's value from economic assets to emotional symbols and self-actualization projects in modern society and its relationship to the emergence of the childfree phenomenon. Using a historical qualitative approach through a library study of classical and contemporary literature, this study traces the changes in children's values within social, economic, and cultural contexts. The results show that the shift in children's values occurs in layers: from a productive function in pre-modern times, to a symbol of affection in the modern era, to the center of emotional projects that require great sacrifice in post-industrial society. The ideology of intensive parenting positions children as emotionally "priceless," yet simultaneously becomes a source of psychological and financial pressure for parents. The childfree phenomenon emerges as a rational reaction to this symbolic burden, marking a renegotiation of the meaning of happiness and success in life outside the framework of the traditional family. This study concludes that childfree is not a form of moral decadence, but rather a reflection of a new rationality that emphasizes psychological well-being, gender equality, and individual autonomy. This research makes an important academic contribution to expanding the study of family sociology, gender studies, and social history by demonstrating the link between the evolution of children's values and the childfree phenomenon. By combining historical and sociological perspectives, this research opens up new space for understanding how changes in economic structures, moral ideologies, and modern technologies shape human reproductive choices in the post-industrial era.

Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies for developing library outreach services to enhance social inclusion, reach vulnerable communities, and support sustainable development. The research method used is a qualitative literature review. Data were collected through analysis of literature from reputable journals, academic books, and other credible sources, focusing on mobile library services, digital-based services, community-based programs, and inclusive services for special needs groups. The findings show that outreach services can expand information access, increase community engagement, and empower communities through educational programs. Mobile libraries effectively reach rural communities, while digital services provide convenient access anytime and anywhere. Community-based programs and inclusive services have a significant impact on improving information literacy and supporting community development. However, challenges in implementing these services include budget constraints, infrastructure limitations, and human resource shortages. This research offers practical and theoretical benefits by providing a conceptual framework for managing innovative and sustainable outreach services. The findings are expected to guide libraries in designing service strategies relevant to modern societal needs while promoting social inclusion and sustainability.

Abstract

This study identifies that the growth of social media and the development of new technologies create significant opportunities for libraries to reach a broader audience. However, this also presents challenges, particularly among teenagers who tend to spend more time using their phones and interacting on social media platforms rather than reading or accessing literacy resources. Nevertheless, libraries can leverage social media as a tool to promote their services, expand the reach of information, and create interactive spaces that foster reading habits. This study also highlights the importance of libraries in supporting the development of information literacy skills, especially among higher education students. Through various creative approaches, such as establishing book clubs, providing user- centered learning spaces, offering virtual help desks, and using social media, libraries can actively contribute to improving access to information while encouraging reading habits among young people. Moreover, libraries have a significant influence on users' reading behavior by offering relevant collections, comfortable spaces, and innovative programs. To meet the ever-evolving expectations of users, libraries must continuously develop innovative outreach strategies. This includes integrating digital technology, organizing community-based activities, and collaborating with other institutions to enhance their impact on society. This study emphasizes that libraries can play a strategic role in advancing information literacy by remaining relevant to users' needs in the digital age. Thus, libraries can act as agents of change, supporting lifelong learning and strengthening the culture of literacy within communities. By adapting to technological advances and user demands, libraries can ensure their continued relevance and effectiveness in fulfilling their mission to educate, engage, and inspire.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a significant innovation in education, particularly in classroom management. This study aims to explore the potential and challenges of AI implementation through a literature review approach. Data were collected from reputable academic journals and research reports. The findings reveal that AI can support teachers by reducing administrative burdens, providing interactive learning media, and promoting student learning autonomy. However, the use of AI also faces several obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, lack of teacher training, and the risk of overreliance on technology, which may reduce the humanistic aspect of education. Therefore, AI implementation must be designed thoughtfully to uphold student-centered educational values.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation process of an internal quality assurance system (SPMI) based on the PPEPP cycle (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement) at a newly established university, focusing on the dynamics of quality monitoring and evaluation within resource constraints. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study design, this study describes the institution's adaptive strategies in building a quality culture through academic community involvement, quality system digitization, internal quality audits, and ongoing training. The results show that the success of PPEPP implementation is not solely determined by resource adequacy, but by institutional commitment, quality literacy, and data-driven participatory governance. This study provides an empirical contribution as a best practice model for new universities in preparing for accreditation and building a sustainable quality system.
