Abstract

The Indonesian curriculum is considered to have too many subjects. Indonesian students also do not focus on mastering the expected competencies. Finally, Indonesia has always failed in the international level assessment of PISA during its implementation. In fact, it is stated that Indonesian students need one hundred years to match the sophistication level of students' thinking from the average student of PISA participating countries if Indonesia continue to use the same education. The OECD as the organizer of PISA encourages changes in the education system for Indonesia in order to improve the quality of international-class education. One of the concerns in Indonesian education is the burden of many subjects. The purpose of this study is to describe several arguments for simplifying the curriculum and reducing the subjects in elementary schools in improving the quality of Indonesian education based on expert opinion, research and experience of educational performance in other countries. This article is a position paper to scientifically strengthen an opinion. Qualitative methods are used in this study where data are compiled, analyzed, and concluded. The results of the study indicate that curriculum simplification is necessary to focus students' competence and improve the quality of education. This study proposes several arguments that strengthen this effort, namely not all curriculum content must be a subject, cognate curriculum content can be integrated, many subjects become a burden on students, and so on. So, with this argument it will strengthen the desire to simplify the curriculum in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of pesantren in facing the challenges of the industrial era 4.0. As a traditional educational institution, pesantren has produced Muslim scholars. In addition, pesantren are also able to develop the potential of students to be able to have religious spiritual strength, personality, intelligence, and noble character. The industrial era 4.0 has positive and negative impacts on all sectors of human life, including the education sector. Therefore, researchers want to see the extent of the role of pesantren in overcoming this uncertain phenomenon. This research uses a library research approach, the data obtained is entirely sourced from literature, namely examining literature sources such as articles and other works related to the existence of pesantren and the challenges of pesantren in the 4.0 era. The results of this study conclude that pesantren have an important role in overcoming various problems and the rapid changes that arise in the industrial era 4.0. Strong spiritual values are a fortress from the negative attacks of sophisticated and massive technological advances.  The rapid development of technology will not be a boomerang if it is addressed wisely. Therefore, all Islamic Education Institutions, especially pesantren, must continue to be sensitive to the changing times by continuously developing existing potential through curriculum development programs and literacy habituation patterns without leaving the identity or values of the pesantren.

Abstract

The study aims to investigate and optimize the implementation of self-assessment techniques in Islamic Education classes at MTs Assa’idiyyah by utilizing Google Forms. The Indonesian national education objectives, as outlined in the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in 1945, emphasize the enhancement of societal intellectualism through a conscious and planned educational system. However, traditional self-assessment practices face challenges, such as limited time, excessive workload, and the need for substantial resources. The integration of Google Forms offers an efficient and effective alternative, aligning with the principles of objective, integrated, economical, transparent, accountable, and educative assessments. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach involving interviews, observations, and document analysis. MTs Assa’idiyyah is the chosen unit of analysis, characterized by its adoption of the 2013 curriculum, adequate facilities, and previous absence as a research subject. The findings reveal that traditional self-assessment practices encounter limitations, motivating the exploration and implementation of Google Forms for self-assessment. The Google Forms-based self-assessment optimally adheres to the principles of assessment, offering objectivity, integration, efficiency, transparency, accountability, and educative aspects. The study concludes with the positive impact of Google Forms-based self-assessment on ninth-grade students, demonstrating disciplined and routine self-assessment practices, high-interest levels, and the formation of personal character. Moreover, teachers at MTs Assa’idiyyah can execute self-assessment authentically and objectively. The findings advocate for the widespread adoption of Google Forms as a valuable tool to enhance the effectiveness of self-assessment practices in Islamic Education

Abstract

Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan agama di Indonesia, namun banyak TPQ, termasuk di Desa Palasari, Kecamatan Cipanas, menghadapi tantangan dalam memperoleh legalitas kelembagaan. Legalitas ini krusial untuk mendapatkan dukungan dari pemerintah dan masyarakat, seperti dana dan fasilitas. Kegiatan ini mengeksplorasi partisipasi kampus dalam mendukung proses legalisasi TPQ di desa tersebut melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kampus berperan signifikan dalam pemenuhan legalitas TPQ dengan menyediakan pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan administratif. Partisipasi kampus terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pengelola TPQ mengenai regulasi dan manajemen kelembagaan, mempercepat proses legalisasi, serta membantu membangun kapasitas kelembagaan TPQ. Namun, terdapat kendala seperti kurangnya pemahaman mendalam tentang regulasi dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas partisipasi kampus meliputi penguatan koordinasi antara kampus, pemerintah, dan pengelola TPQ, serta pengembangan program pendampingan yang lebih berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan kolaboratif dan inovatif untuk memastikan legalitas TPQ dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan keagamaan di komunitas.

Abstract

Membaca Al-Quran merupakan salah satu bakat yang harus dimiliki peserta didik, khususnya di lembaga-lembaga Islam. Namun siswa kelas X ATU 2 menunjukkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an yang kurang baik, berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan di SMK Negeri 2 Cilaku. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji bagaimana metode Tahsin 40 menit dapat digunakan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dan data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Tahsin 40 menit bekerja dengan baik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap Al-Qur'an. Batasan waktu dan frekuensi keterlibatan siswa di kelas merupakan dua hal yang perlu diperhatikan.

Abstract

Humans are creatures that Allah SWT created perfectly from the essence of the soil, then become nuthfah, then become mudzgoh and become bones wrapped in meat to form the human body. With this perfection, the human task is always to be grateful and to maintain this potential. Al-Qur'an invites people to think about the origin of humans about their creation. Because in the human body there is a sign of great power that shows the majesty of Allah SWT. The research method in this journal uses a type of qualitative research with a literature approach. The data was collected by searching related reference book sources. After the data is obtained then the data is analyzed and some additions from the researcher. In this study, researchers found several results and conclusions in the discussion of the human body in the Koran, that the verses of Allah on the human body are very clearly explained in the Koran, which at that time had no biological research. Second, the concept of the human body has implications for Islamic education.

Abstract

Transformasi ekonomi lokal menjadi salah satu strategi kunci dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat, terutama di wilayah yang kaya potensi namun masih tertinggal secara sosial dan ekonomi. Kabupaten Cianjur sebagai daerah agraris memiliki sumber daya alam dan manusia yang cukup melimpah, namun belum sepenuhnya dikelola secara produktif. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendorong penguatan ekonomi lokal melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis potensi desa, peningkatan kapasitas kewirausahaan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital sebagai media pemasaran. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi partisipatif, pelatihan intensif, dan pendampingan langsung kepada pelaku UMKM serta kelompok masyarakat produktif di beberapa desa sasaran. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengidentifikasi potensi lokal, mengelola usaha kecil, serta memanfaatkan platform digital untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar. Beberapa produk lokal mengalami peningkatan nilai jual setelah melalui proses pengemasan ulang dan strategi branding sederhana. Selain itu, terdapat perubahan sikap masyarakat terhadap pentingnya kolaborasi, inovasi, dan kemandirian ekonomi. Kesimpulannya, transformasi ekonomi lokal tidak hanya berdampak pada aspek ekonomi, tetapi juga memperkuat struktur sosial melalui peningkatan partisipasi, rasa percaya diri, dan semangat gotong royong. Intervensi yang berkelanjutan, kolaboratif, dan berbasis kebutuhan riil masyarakat menjadi kunci utama agar transformasi ini dapat memberikan dampak jangka panjang dan berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat Cianjur.

Abstract

This article examines the dynamic relationship between Islam and the science of rationality in the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy, focusing on the dialectics formed in the development of educational concepts and practices. A philosophical approach is used to analyze the interaction of the two elements, revealing how Islamic values can synergize with the principles of scientific rationality to build a balanced, relevant, and transformative educational paradigm. This research is based on a qualitative analysis method, by integrating various primary and secondary sources. The results of the study show that the collaboration between Islamic spirituality and scientific rationality is able to encourage more progressive educational innovation while building awareness of the importance of knowledge as part of religion. This emphasis on integration makes a significant contribution to creating an education system that is holistic, contextual, and oriented towards universal human values.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using BookWidgets as a digital learning media to enhance students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP Islam Cendekia Cianjur. The background of the research stems from the low utilization of digital media by teachers and the lack of student engagement in conventional learning models. As an interactive platform, BookWidgets is considered capable of delivering material more attractively through features such as quizzes, game-based questions, visual materials, and automatic evaluation. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving PAI teachers, students, and the vice principal for curriculum. The findings indicate that the use of BookWidgets significantly enhances students' learning motivation. The platform not only makes the learning process more enjoyable and interactive but also fosters student independence and accelerates content comprehension. The effectiveness of this media is strongly influenced by the teacher's ability to design adaptive and meaningful instruction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran Bookwidgets dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMP Islam Cendekia Cianjur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital oleh guru serta kurangnya keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran konvensional. Bookwidgets sebagai platform digital interaktif dinilai mampu menyajikan materi dengan cara yang lebih menarik melalui fitur seperti kuis, soal berbasis game, visualisasi, dan evaluasi otomatis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru PAI, siswa, dan wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Bookwidgets mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa secara signifikan. Media ini tidak hanya membuat proses belajar menjadi menyenangkan dan interaktif, tetapi juga mendorong kemandirian siswa serta mempercepat pemahaman materi. Efektivitas media ini sangat dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran yang adaptif dan bermakna.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a significant innovation in education, particularly in classroom management. This study aims to explore the potential and challenges of AI implementation through a literature review approach. Data were collected from reputable academic journals and research reports. The findings reveal that AI can support teachers by reducing administrative burdens, providing interactive learning media, and promoting student learning autonomy. However, the use of AI also faces several obstacles, such as limited infrastructure, lack of teacher training, and the risk of overreliance on technology, which may reduce the humanistic aspect of education. Therefore, AI implementation must be designed thoughtfully to uphold student-centered educational values.
