Abstract

SMEs play an important role in Indonesia's economy, one of which is the woodcraft industry that has great potential for export. Putra Mandiri Woodcraft (PMW) faces sales instability, ranging from 30% to 145.48% of the set target, which affects production efficiency. This study aims to formulate an effective marketing strategy to increase sales volume and business competitiveness. The methods used in this study include the IFE and EFE Matrix analysis to identify internal and external factors affecting the company, SWOT analysis to formulate various strategies, and QSPM to determine strategy priorities based on the Total Attractiveness Score (TAS) value. The analysis results show that Putra Mandiri Woodcraft has an IFE score of 2.70 and an EFE score of 2.80, indicating that the company's internal condition is quite strong, although the response to external factors is still moderate. The company's main strengths lie in product quality and consumer trust, while its weaknesses are the lack of innovation in product design. Based on the SWOT analysis results, eight potential strategies were found, and the QSPM shows that expansion through a marketplace based on product quality and more varied designs is the main priority with a TAS value of 6.16.

Abstract

Indonesia’s mineral downstreaming policy has become a strategic instrument to increase the added value of natural resources and strengthen the country’s position in the global mineral value chain. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the mineral downstreaming policy in encouraging regional economic transformation through the development of an integrated nickel processing industry in Obi Island, South Halmahera. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using secondary data obtained from government publications, corporate reports, policy documents, and environmental reports. Key data sources include regional economic statistics from the Central Bureau of Statistics, corporate publications from Harita Nickel, and regulatory frameworks such as Law No. 3 of 2020 concerning Mineral and Coal Mining. The findings show that the downstreaming policy has transformed Indonesia’s nickel industry by shifting export patterns from raw ore toward higher value-added products such as ferronickel and Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP), which are essential materials for electric vehicle battery production. The integration of Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) and High Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) technologies in Obi Island has strengthened Indonesia’s role in the global battery supply chain while also stimulating regional economic growth in South Halmahera. However, the rapid expansion of the nickel industry also raises environmental governance challenges that require stronger regulatory oversight and sustainable mining practices. Therefore, future policy implementation should emphasize balanced economic development, environmental sustainability, and effective governance in mineral resource management.

Abstract

PT. X is a textile company that produces greige fabric. One of the crucial stages in the greige fabric production process is inspection. Currently, the facility layout of the inspection area at PT X is still suboptimal. This results in longer fabric movement distances and increased time, leading to delivery delays and higher material handling costs. This study aims to design an optimal facility layout in the inspection area using the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) method and to determine the distances, times, and costs for the proposed layout. In the initial production layout, the fabric movement distance reached 26,130 meters in one working day, and the fabric movement time was 936 minutes. Furthermore, the initial production layout generated a relatively high OMH of Rp 13,742,980 per month. After designing the facility layout using the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC) and Blockplan methods, the proposed layout was arranged according to the production process sequence, resulting in a smoother material flow. The proposed layout yields 16,830 meters of fabric movement per workday, 660 minutes of required time, and a monthly OMH of Rp 7,945,622, with an efficiency of 39.32%.

Abstract

Load imbalance in three-phase distribution transformers can increase neutral current and power losses, thereby reducing the efficiency and reliability of electric power distribution systems. This study aims to analyze the level of load imbalance, power losses caused by neutral current, and the effectiveness of manual load balancing using the two-time-point method, namely peak load time (PLT) and off-peak load time (OPLT). The research was conducted on the PNIAI007 distribution transformer at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Enarotali using a quantitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through measurements of phase currents and neutral current, which were then analyzed to compare conditions before and after load balancing. The results show that the load imbalance level was significantly reduced from more than 29% to 2.47% during daytime operation and 1.21% during nighttime operation. The neutral current decreased from 37.81 A to 14.58 A during the daytime and from 51.76 A to 19.83 A at night. In addition, power losses due to neutral current were reduced by more than 85%. These results indicate that the two-time-point load balancing method is effective in improving the efficiency and operational reliability of distribution transformers.

Abstract

This study aims to improve subcontractor safety performance through strengthening governance systems, leading safety indicators, capability building, and performance monitoring at PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) Jobsite Borneo Indobara (BIB). The research was motivated by the increasing trend of subcontractor incidents during Quarter 1 to Quarter 3 of 2025, where seven incidents occurred and exceeded the company threshold. In addition, subcontractor performance evaluation scores remained below the target threshold of 70, while customer satisfaction scores in subcontractor management decreased from 8.45 to 7.58. The study applied a continuous improvement approach using Quality Control Circle (QCC), Pareto analysis, Nominal Group Technique (NGT), and root cause analysis with the Ishikawa method. Improvement initiatives were implemented through four strategic pillars: strengthening governance, reinforcing leading indicators, capability building, and integrated dashboard monitoring. The implementation results showed significant improvements in subcontractor safety management. The subcontractor incident frequency rate was reduced to zero incidents in Quarter 4 of 2025, subcontractor performance evaluation increased above the threshold to 70.81, and customer satisfaction scores improved to 8.55. The findings indicate that structured governance strengthening combined with real-time monitoring and subcontractor engagement can significantly improve mining safety performance and stakeholder trust.

Abstract

An expert system is a computer-based program designed to simulate the reasoning and decision-making abilities of an expert in a particular field, enabling it to serve as a reference for specific conditions. This system integrates knowledge, rules, and experiences obtained from experts to support problem identification, provide recommendations, and determine appropriate decisions accurately. In this study, the expert system is utilized to measure employee stress levels based on the symptoms experienced by users. The diagnostic process is carried out using the forward chaining method, a reasoning technique that begins with facts or symptoms provided by the user and then matches them with IF–THEN rules to generate a conclusion or diagnostic result. Through the implementation of this method, the system is capable of providing employee stress assessments in a more structured, systematic, and rule-based manner according to the predefined knowledge base. The final outcome of this research is the development of a forward chaining–based expert system for measuring employee stress within a company environment, which can assist the diagnostic process more effectively and accurately.

Abstract

Floating and not sinking quickly fishing nets that have a small chance of catching fish are problems faced in the waters. The purpose of making is to obtain a cone weight with a length of 28.5 mm and a width of 28.5 mm, a height of 31 mm, 25 g of lead material totaling 80 pieces, around the fishing net made of nylon thread with a diameter of 1 mm, with a radius of 3 m, so that the number of weights becomes 2 kg and the weight of the net including the main rope is 3 kg which totals 5 kg. The manufacturing method includes: net weight design, making a mold containing 10 pieces of lead at a time, preparing lead material and casting equipment, casting lead into the mold, dismantling the mold and cutting the casting channel, connecting channels between weights and cutting risers, drilling 3 mm diameter weights, and checking the quality and dimensions of the net weights. The result of the production is a cone weight for fishing nets made of 25 g of black lead with a weight deviation of around 2 g, a total production cost of Rp. 950,-/piece, and a process duration of 2 minutes/piece which implies that for one fishing net 80 pieces can be installed with an estimated total weight of 2 kg of weight and a total weight of the net equipment of around 5 kg.
