Abstract

Forecasting is a method for estimating a value in the future by using past data. This research was conducted at the Home Industry Arwana Food. In this study, theauthor discusses the forecasting analysis of sales of banana chips products for packaging types. Forecasting is done using three methods, namely the Moving Averagemethod, the Exponential Smoothing with Trend method and the Trend analysis method by comparing the smallest error rate, the chosen forecasting method is the TrendAnalysis method, with the MAD value of 161.3539, MSE of 55744 , 16, and a standard error of 242,947. From the analysis of data processing that has been carried out basedon the chosen forecasting method, sales forecasting for banana chips products of packaged type is 1121,424 or 1122 packs / month, meaning that Home Industry -Surakarta Banana Chips must provide as many as banana chips. 1122 packs for each month.

Abstract

Each production facility has a risk of danger for humans when it is used, it also happens in the production of wood furniture. Therefore, it is necessary to implement occupational health and safety management to reduce the risk of workplace accidents due to the use of production facilities. CV Rimba Sentosa, one of the woodfurniture companies has written accident data as many as 23 accidents in 2016. The figure increased 5-10% compared to the previous year's accident. Based on these facts,research was conducted to identify potential work accidents and control efforts, especially in the sawmill section. The method used in this study is Job Safety Analysis (JSA).The results of data processing show that the potential hazards that can arise due to the sawing process include low back pain, hand scratched saw blades, pollution from diesel engines, wood dust, and electric shock when turning on the engine. Hazard potential control efforts can be divided into two, namely engineering controls and  controls. The form of engineering controls that can be done is by giving  a wooden push and pulling limit on the bandsaw machine, serkel, and jointer so that thehand is not exposed to the saw blade. The administrative controls that can be done are by using PPE in the form of masks, glasses, shoes, and gloves.

Abstract

Manufacturing industry is always required to carry out efficiency and effectiveness in the production system. One strategy can be done to achieve is through setting the layout of the facility. By structurizing the layout of good facilities, companies can reduce production costs without reducing the quality of the products produced. One of the companies that designs the facilities layout to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the production system is PT. AGNA INSPIRE, manufacturer of slider frames in the Banjarsari area, Surakarta. The company plans to replace machinery and move the factory to another location. The arrangement of the machines carried out in the previous factory only considered empty space, regardless of the order of the production process. In fact, the company's production is made to stock and the arrangement of the machines should follow the order of the process. Therefore, it is necessary to design the layout of operating machinery facilities by considering thesequence of processes to minimize distance and material handling costs. The method used in determining the layout is the blockplan method. Based on the results of data processing, the proposed layout design was obtained with Material Handling Cost (OMH) of Rp. 651,000. This value is more efficient than OMH in the previous layout of Rp. 1,036,000, -

Abstract

Batu bata merupakan salah satu komponen yang banyak digunakan dalam pendirian sebuah bangunan, baik perumahan, hotel, apartemen, industri, maupun fasilitas-fasilitas publik. Ancaman kerusakan ligkungan akibat munculnya industri batu bata tidak dapat dihindari jika bahan baku utama, batu bata, hanya menggunakan tanah liat. Oleh karena itu, saat ini sudah mulai muncul inovasi batu bata yang lebih ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah, seperti dilakukan salah satu pengrajin batu bata di daerah Kabupaten Karanganyar yang menggunakan limbah pabrik gula. Salah satu permasalahan yang umum dihadapi dalam implementasi produk ramah lingkungan adalah kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat yang disebabkan minimnya sumber informasi sehingga konsumen ragu membeli produk tersebut. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan suatu penelitian mengenai model pemasaran batu bata ramah lingkungan dengan mempertimbangkan persepsi konsumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode STPD dan bauran pemasaran yang meliputi 8P. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tiga atribut produk yang paling banyak dipertimbangkan adalah harga, fungsi produk, dan kelebihan produk berupa tahan gempa. Di sisi lain, responden paling banyak menginginkan batu bata yang aman, sehat, berasal dari produsen terpercaya, dan ramah lingkungan. Terkait karakteristik responden terhadap pemilihan batu bata ramah lingkungan, diketahui bahwa responden property syariah lebih menyukai batu bata ramah lingkungan. AbstractBricks are one component that is widely used in buildings, both housing, hotels, apartments, industry, and public facilities. The threat of environmental damage due to damage to the brick industry cannot be released if the main raw material for bricks uses only clay. Therefore, at this time has begun to appear more environmentally friendly bricks using waste, as did one of the brick craftsmen in Karanganyar Regency who used sugar mill waste. One that questions the common problem in implementing environmentally friendly products is reducing public awareness which reduces the source of information so as to make consumers hesitate to buy the product. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on environmentally friendly brick models by considering consumer perceptions. This research uses STPD method and marketing mix provided by 8P. The results showed that the three most preferred product attributes were price, product function, and product strength in the form of earthquake resistance. On the other hand, respondents most like bricks that are safe, healthy, requested from trusted manufacturers, and environmentally friendly. Regarding the characteristics of respondents regarding the selection of environmentally friendly bricks, Islamic property respondents are expected to prefer environmentally friendly bricks. Keywords: environmentally friendly bricks; STPD; mix marketing

Abstract

Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran wajib yang diberikan untuk siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas dan menjadi salah satu aspek yang dinilai dalam ujian masuk perguruan tinggi negeri. Selain itu, kemampuan berbahasa inggris secara lisan maupun tulisan juga menjadi aspek yang sangat dibutuhkan di dunia kerja. Pada umumnya, siswa sekolah merasa kesulitan belajar bahasa inggris karena tidak dapat menghafal grammar atau kosa kata dalam bahasa inggris. Selain itu, biaya kursus di lembaga pelatihan bahasa inggris juga relatif mahal. Hal ini akam memberikan rasa enggan bagi siswa untuk mau meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa inggris. Akibatnya, banyak siswa yang mendapat nilai jelek untuk aspek bahasa inggris. Lebih parah dari itu, siswa akan merasa enggan untuk mau berlatih bahasa inggris. Pelatihan bahasa inggris yang dilaksanakan pada pengabdian ini mengusung cara yang menyenangkan dan mudah dipahami. Pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring melalui Google meet. Pelatihan terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu penyampaian materi dan tryout online. Tahap penyampaian materi dilaksanakan untuk memberi bekal bagi peserta dalam memahami soal-soal UTBK-SBMPTN 2020. Soal yang diberikan biasanya berbentuk bacaan dan peserta diminta menjawab pertanyaan berdasarkan soal cerita. Tahap tryout online dilaksanakan untuk melihat sejauh mana peserta memahami materi yang diberikan. Selain itu, tahap ini juga digunakan sebagai latihan menjawab soal UTBK dengan batas waktu. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui pengabdian ini adalah bahwa beberapa peserta masih belum memahami strategi menjawab soal bacaan. Hal ini terlihat dari nilai tryout yang masih rendah. Solusi yang diberikan adalah mengikuti private pada sesi yang lain.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, communication and work motivation on employee performance at PT XYZ. This research used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The population was 507 respondents. The sample used 223 respondents. The sampling method is probability sampling with a purposive sampling technique. The analysis used the validity test and reliability test of the Partial Least Square (PLS) program version 4.0 based on the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach. The results show that leadership style does not affect employee performance while communication and work motivation have a positive effect on employee performance.

Abstract

 Fires can occur at any time, therefore a mechanism is needed to evacuate the building in the event of a disaster. Generally, public facilities provide instructions and evacuation routes for exiting the building. PT. PCC has its headquarters in Australia. As for PT. PCC also opened a new factory located in Gresik Regency, East Java. The new factory does not yet have adequate fire evacuation routes. Even though inside the building there are materials and equipment that are flammable. Based on this, this research aims to design fire evacuation routes in PT buildings. PCC Gresik. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research. The method that the author applies is the Djikstra Algorithm to determine the shortest proposed route. The design of the evacuation route has 2 gathering points, namely at the front and back. There are 22 evacuation route signs, 6 exit signs, 2 gathering point signs, 2 emergency telephone signs and 10 Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) signs. Evacuation route signs, exit signs and Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) signs are planned to be installed on the walls. Assembly point signs and emergency telephone signs are installed on poles.
