Abstract

This study aims to develop an intuitive and efficient smart home control system by utilizing hand tracking and speech recognition technologies. These technologies employ the OpenCV, Mediapipe, PyAudio, and Speech Recognition libraries to recognize hand gestures and voice commands in real-time. The system is developed using a Raspberry Pi connected to a webcam and microphone as input devices, and a relay to control electronic appliances. The results show a high accuracy rate at optimal light intensity for hand tracking and a specific distance for speech recognition. This system is implemented in an IoT environment to control devices such as lights and door locks. The research is expected to contribute to the development of smarter and more user-friendly smart homes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation in increasing customer loyalty in the digital era. With the rapid advancement of technology, CRM has become an essential component of an effective digital marketing strategy. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach involving several companies that use CRM as a strategy to maintain and increase customer loyalty. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, surveys and secondary data analysis from companies using CRM platforms. Research findings reveal that effective CRM implementation—through personalization, regular communication, and leveraging customer data—can significantly increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, this research highlights that the use of CRM allows companies to better understand customer needs and preferences, thereby providing more customized services. As a result, implementing CRM in the digital era has proven to be an important strategy for businesses to compete in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

The safety and security of toll road users is a very important issue in road infrastructure management. In order to improve monitoring and response to potential dangers, smart CCTV technology can be an effective solution. This research aims to develop a smart CCTV detection system that can detect events that endanger safety, such as accidents or traffic disturbances. This system uses image processing technology and artificial intelligence to analyze CCTV footage in real-time and provide immediate warnings to security officers. Test results show that this system can detect events quickly and accurately, improving response and decision making to improve toll road safety. This system also allows for more efficient monitoring by reducing reliance on manual monitoring.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether digital marketing media can influence consumer interaction with the Shopee marketplace. Online communication and sales are new things in the realm of marketing thanks to the rapid development of technology that allows individuals to make transactions through digital platforms. Currently, buying and selling transactions in the marketplace are in great demand and are popular with the public. One of the applications most often used by the public is Shopee. By using a digital marketing strategy in the Shopee marketplace, selling products without having to meet face to face with consumers becomes very easy. Business actors also try to apply efficient tactics to influence the level of consumer buying interest. In this study, the researcher applied a qualitative method that was explained descriptively by utilizing books, websites, and related journals. Abstract

Determining the best hosting service provider is a very important first step in starting a digital business. Mistakes in choosing a hosting service will have fatal consequences for the continuity and smooth running of a digital business. This research aims to select the best hosting service in the form of a Decision Support System (SPK). Determining the best hosting service provider is very important because hosting is one aspect that determines the success of an e-business. This research uses the PROMETHEE (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation) method to determine the ranking of the best hosting service providers. The performance assessment of hosting service providers was carried out from January to April 2024. This research was carried out using data from 9 alternatives and 5 criteria which are crucial aspects in hosting services, namely, loading time, server uptime, number of downtimes, support and user friendliness. In this research, it was found that the hosting service provider Niagahoster was the first ranked alternative with a net flow value of 0.75.

Abstract

Social media has become a crucial part of modern life around the globe, providing users with various conveniences. However, its widespread use has also brought about new challenges, one of which is cyberbullying. This harmful issue can have serious emotional and physical effects on those targeted. Cyberbullying occurs in many areas, including sports, and soccer—a sport loved by millions—is no exception. Soccer players often face severe criticism, hate speech, and harassment on social media platforms. To tackle this problem, this study aims to create a strong model for detecting cyberbullying on the social media platform “X” using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method. By utilizing advanced machine learning techniques, the proposed model intends to identify and reduce instances of cyberbullying, helping to create a safer online space for athletes and the wider community.

Abstract

Google Translate is an artificial intelligence-based translation service developed by Google. Since its introduction in 2006, this service has continued to create with the application of Neural Machine Translation (NMT) technology, which improves the accuracy and fluency of translation compared to previous methods. This study aims to determine the effectiveness and limitations of Google Translate in translating Batak into Indonesian. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a comparative approach of Google Translate translation results and manual translations by professional translators. The study results show that Google Translate can translate basic words and simple sentences quite well. However, there are several limitations, such as a lack of understanding of the cultural context, idioms, and dialect variations in the Batak language. In addition, the translation is also influenced by the limitations of the database and vocabulary enrichment in this service. Thus, although Google Translate can be a tool in translation, users still need to do manual verification to ensure accuracy, especially in fields that require high precision such as law, academics, and professional communication.

Abstract

Customer churn is a major challenge in e-commerce, directly affecting revenue and profit. This study aims to develop a machine learning model using XGBoost to predict churn probability. To handle class imbalance, SMOTE was applied as a resampling method, and hyperparameter tuning was performed to enhance performance. The model was evaluated using the F2-score, prioritizing recall while maintaining precision. The results show that the XGBoost model with SMOTE achieves strong performance, with an F2-score of 0.849 on the tuned test data. This model can help businesses identify at-risk customers early, enabling proactive retention strategies.

Abstract

The manual attendance system using paper at work locations other than offices at PT Gresik Migas creates challenges in the effectiveness and efficiency of employee attendance records. This study implements a web-based attendance system that integrates geolocation and selfie features to improve the accuracy and efficiency of attendance recording. The system was developed using native PHP for backend, jQuery for frontend, MySQL as database, and Leaflet JS for geolocation implementation. Implementation results show the system was successfully implemented in 5 different locations with a 50-meter validation radius and used by 40 employees. This system enables real-time attendance monitoring through an admin dashboard and produces more efficient attendance records compared to the previous manual system.
