Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyse the influence of digital innovation, specifically the Malldesa application, on tourism village development in Sidomulyo Village, Silo Sub-district, Jember Regency. Malldesa is developing tourism communities in Sidomulyo Village, Silo District, Jember Regency. The research method employed is qualitative, including observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and document analysis as the primary data sources. Malldesa management, community leaders, local officials, and visitors are among those who responded to the research. The findings revealed that the Malldesa application favourably impacted the growth of tourist communities in Sidomulyo Village. This program facilitates transactions, promotes local products, and broadens market reach for village businesses. Malldesa has also helped villages improve their information technology skills and comprehend the value of branding and digital marketing. Furthermore, this digital innovation has increased community participation in tourism village administration. Community participation in decision-making and development planning in tourist villages has expanded, improving collaboration between local governments, business actors, and communities. Thus, this study shows that digital innovation based on the Malldesa application plays a vital role in the development of tourism villages in Sidomulyo Village, Silo District, and Jember Regency. Information technology in the tourist sector can be one of the answers to improving the welfare of rural populations and advancing the area's tourism potential.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how managers use social media to market their tours and the benefits and drawbacks of using Instagram. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Interviews, observation, and documentation are the methods used to acquire data. The findings revealed that: (1) Instagram is a highly efficient promotional medium, utilizing elements such as photo titles or captions, hashtags, Instagram stories, reposts, and reels, as well as the AIDA concept (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) to capture followers' attention. (2) Factors that support using Instagram social media to promote Green Paradise Tourism in Pagar Alam City include marketing that uses photo titles or captions. The restricting elements are content to be posted and promoted and competition from other destinations, particularly those with more active promotional strategies or more appeal.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the collaborative governance of tourism development in Sidomulyo Village. Then, in this study, qualitative research was used with a descriptive method, and data gathering procedures included observation, interviews, and recording, as well as primary and secondary data sources. The theory employed is Emerson and Tina Nabatchi's. The findings of this study show that collaborative governance can influence the dynamics of collaboration, cooperative activities, and the impacts of village tourism development. It can be concluded that collaborative governance of tourism development in Sidomulyo Village has a social and economic impact, even if the growth is not maximized due to various impediments.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the KOTAKU program in reducing slum settlements in Sruni Village, Gedangan Sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency. It will also examine the factors that support and hinder its success. This research takes a qualitative approach. Milles and Hubberman's qualitative analysis was utilized to explore the data. According to the study's findings, the KOTAKU Program has been effective because it fits the indications of clear objectives to be met, straightforward strategies for reaching program objectives, and a sound process of analysis and policy creation; the KOTAKU program has been successful because it meets the indicators of clear program objectives, straightforward strategies for achieving program objectives, a solid policy analysis and formulation process, careful planning, appropriate program preparation, availability of work facilities and infrastructure, effective and efficient implementation, and an educational monitoring and control system. There are both supportive and hindering aspects to the KOTAKU program. Facilitator competency, proper facilities, a sufficient budget, and a clear organizational structure are beneficial. The restricting elements are inaccurate information or hoaxes about the KOTAKU Program that circulate on social media and a restricted number of facilitators that assist with program implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to demonstrate that the Social Forestry Program in Sabrang Village positively impacts poverty alleviation and community welfare, particularly among women family heads, through forest land management. This study employed a descriptive qualitative data analysis strategy. This research method uses the purposive sampling strategy. The findings of this study show that the realization of women's rights can already be felt and benefited. Forest land management activities are carried out through the social forestry initiative to maximize natural resource potential over 35 years. As a result, it may be argued that it successfully changed the community's economics, particularly that of women's household heads.
