Abstract

The quality of library services refers to the needs of users. Therefore, good service is a service that can meet the needs and desires of its users. So a good library is a library that is able to provide services to every user quickly, accurately and satisfactorily. The success of a library can be measured using the frequency of borrowing library materials and the level of user satisfaction, therefore the needs and requests of users need to be considered by the library. This research uses quantitative research with a population of 220 users, with a sample of 69 people with an error rate of 10 percent. Data collection was carried out using observation and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of excellent service in the Universitas Negeri Makassar library is considered sufficient, in terms of aspects of reliability, communication, response and understanding of users. User satisfaction at the Universitas Negeri Makassar library is considered to be poor in terms of ease of obtaining information, speed of obtaining information and information provision services. There is a significant positive effect of implementing excellent service on user satisfaction at the Universitas Negeri Makassar Library Technical Implementation Unit (UPT), namely 55.3 percent.

Abstract

The conflict management style in the organization is a management strategy in dealing with conflicts that occur. The use of an appropriate conflict management style will have a good impact on the organization. This study aims to find out the influence of conflict management style on the satisfaction of student institution administrators at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This study is a quantitative research that shows cause and effect. The sample in this study was 82 people with the Simple Random Sampling technique and 5 informants. The data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive data analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the conflict management style of student institutions at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar is in the "Good" category with 5 indicators, namely competition, collaboration, compromise, avoidance, and accommodating. Meanwhile, management satisfaction is in the "Very Good" category with 5 indicators, namely member satisfaction working in the organization, liking other members, perception of friendliness between members, willingness to cooperate with the organization again in the future, and perception of the satisfaction of other members in the organization. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the relationship between variables is moderate. Based on the results of a simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of the Conflict Management style on the satisfaction of the Student Institution Management at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Makassar. This research is the first research at Makassar State University that discusses conflict management styles, especially in student institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the motives of underage children working as farm laborers in Pencong Village, Biringbulu District, Gowa Regency, and its impact on their education and health. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study type, involving in-depth interviews with children, parents, and community leaders. In this study, the data collection techniques used are in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data collected was then analyzed with a quantitative descriptive approach through three main steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn., The results of the study indicate that the main motives for children to work are influenced by economic, social, and cultural factors. Family economic limitations are the dominant reason, while social norms and local traditions that support early work also play an important role. Farm labor work has a negative impact on children's education, causing absenteeism and low academic achievement. In addition, heavy physical work affects children's physical and mental health. This study concludes the need for social interventions, economic assistance, and more flexible education programs to reduce child labor in rural areas.

Abstract

The physical layout of the office space has a direct impact on improving performance and facilitating productive and successful work outcomes. The purpose of this study is to examine how PT. The Pegadaian  Unit of the Rappocini Branch of Makassar City has prepared its office space. The purpose of this qualitative descriptive research project is to evaluate the effectiveness of PT. Office Space Management. Pegadaian Unit Rappocini Branch Makassar City. The informants in this study amounted to seven (seven) people, both direct and visiting clients. Observation, interview, and documentation methods are used in the data collection approach. The data analysis approach of this study uses data presentation, data reduction strategies, findings, and data verification. The findings of this study show the efficacy of PT. Office Space Management. Indicator is part of the Pegadaian Unit of the Rappocini Branch of Makassar City. 1) The principle of shortest distance has been effectively implemented since the office equipment was arranged to meet the needs of employees and facilitate the smooth service process; 2) The order of work of employee placement is based on the ability of the employee; In addition, the employee's sitting position is also adjusted to his workflow to prevent transaction conflicts. so that the transaction process can run quickly and efficiently, 3) The idea of using each space is less than ideal because there are several spaces that have been used and not all of them are divided according to needs. 4) The idea of modifying the workspace layout was successful because the partition material is not permanent so it does not require a lot of time, effort, and cost to modify the layout of the employee's workspace in the future.

Abstract

This article examines the important role of innovation in early childhood education to foster interest in sustainable business. Facing global economic challenges and rapid social change, early childhood education plays an important role in developing an entrepreneurial spirit that is not only focused on profit, but also sustainability. This research highlights how innovation in service programs, curriculum, teaching methods, and use of technology can encourage educators to create businesses that are environmentally friendly, ethical, and have a positive impact on society. By combining entrepreneurial principles with social and environmental awareness, early childhood education can be a driving force in creating a generation of entrepreneurs with a long-term vision. This article also discusses various early childhood education initiatives that have succeeded in fostering interest in sustainable entrepreneurship among early childhood education managers. In the end, this article provides recommendations that early childhood education must continue to innovate to produce entrepreneurs who are not only financially successful, but also environmentally and socially responsible
