Abstract

ABSTRACT This purposeof this study is to describe, analyze and discuss data on: Differences in students' environmental care behavior based on gender at SMAN 1 2x11 Kayutanam in the 2020/2021 school year. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative with the type of research used is Expost facto research. The population of this study were students at SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam for the academic year 2020/2021, totaling 400 students. The sample of this research was done by simple random sampling with a total sample of 61 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation.The data analysis technique used is the respondent achievement level data analysis technique (TCR) and t-test. The results showed that: 1) The environmental concerns of male students had a significant difference with the environmental concerns of female students. Environmental awareness of female students is higher than that of male students. The criteria for the environmental care behavior of students belong to the caring category. 2) Hypothesis test results obtained t-count > t-table of (79.1685 > 1.65765 ), at a significant level 0.05. The results of hypothesis testing are accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) application of authentic assessment of attitude aspects in geography learning in State High School throughout Padang Panjang (2) Implementasi of authentic assessment of attitude aspects of geography learning in Public High School of Padang Panjang (3) Difficulties of teachers in applying authentic assessment of attitude aspects in Geography learning in Public High School of Padang Panjang (4) the solution in overcoming the difficulties of teachers in applying authentic assessment of attitude aspects in Geography learning in Public High School of Padang Panjang. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The population is 7 geography teachers and 12 11th grade students in Padang Panjang City. While the sample is taken by purposive sampling. Data collection technique using a questionnaire. Quantitative data analysisi technique is statistical-descriptive analysis. The results of study are as follows (1) the application of authentic assessment of aspects of social and spiritual attitudes is carried out very well (2) the implementation of authentic assement of aspects of spiritual attitudes in geography learning is 58% in the very good category and the assessment of social attitudes is 42% in the good category (3) the difficulty of teachers is the lack of time in conducting attitude assessment (4) the solutation in overcoming the difficulties is that the teachers collaborates with peers and the teacher must be able to divide the time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much students are prepared to become geography teachers in the geography department of the 2017 education study program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Padang State University.This type of research uses descriptive quantitative. The population in this study was the 2017 class of education geography students, totaling 137 students. Sampling of respondents used the Slovin formula, with an error rate of 5% from 137 so that 102 students were sampled. The sampling technique of this study used proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis.The results of this study found that the readiness to become a geography teacher for students majoring in geography in the 2017 class of education study program was obtained an average of 3.94 and was in the very ready category. So that there are no doubts and worries by researchers, because in this study it proves that students majoring in geography in the 2017 class of education study programs are ready to become geography teachers.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the education system began to look for innovation in the process of teaching and learning activities. One of the learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic is Google Classroom. At SMA Negeri 6 Medan for the first time implementing online learning based on Google Classroom. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of online learning using google classroom in geography lessons at SMA Negeri 6 Medan during the pandemic. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique used nonprobability sampling method with total sampling technique, the number of samples in this study was taken from the entire population of class X-IIS as many as 72 students. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and data. The results of this study indicate that the learning effectiveness of class X-IIS students at SMA Negeri 6 Medan using Google Classroom media entered at a very effective level of achievement as many as 42 students from 72 respondents with a percentage of 58.33%, 26 students or 36.11% at the level of achievement. quite effective, 3 students or 4.16% at the ineffective level, and 1 student or 1.4% at the very ineffective level of achievement.

Abstract

One of the technological advances is the use of the internet in Learning Management Systems, such as google classroom and whatsapp to overcome the implementation of online learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of google classroom and whatsapp on the learning outcomes of geography in the even semester of class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Dumai. The research method is quantitative with an associative approach. The sampling technique was random sampling, totaling 78 students. Data collection techniques by means of tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques with multiple linear regression, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing (t test and f test). The results of the study partially prove that the use of google classroom (X1) has a significant and positive effect of 0.581, and whatsapp (X2) has a significant and positive effect of 1.451 on the learning outcomes of geography (Y) class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Dumai. The results of the simultaneous acquisition are the calculated F value 13.62 > F table 1.94, and judging from the significant probability value 0.262 < 0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Overall, the use of google classroom and whatsapp has an effect on geography learning outcomes by 93.2% while the difference is 6.8% by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) To obtain information about the distribution and number of geography teachers in each high school in the Pasaman Regency area, 2) To find out what self-development teachers have participated in by high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency from 2014-2019, 3 ) To find out what scientific publications were published by high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency from 2014-2019. 4) To find out what innovative works have been produced by high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method. In surveys, information is collected from respondents using a census-distributed questionnaire or questionnaire. In general, survey research is described as scientific research in which data are collected from a selected sample of the entire population. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) The general identity condition of high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency is quite good, because almost all high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency have a minimum education/last education degree, which means they have met the criteria. minimum that has been stipulated in PP No. 32 of 2013; 2) The self-development of high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency is still relatively low. Most of the high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency still have not followed their self-development; 3) The scientific publication of high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency is still very low; 4) There are no innovative works produced by high school geography teachers in Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) Mengetahui kapasitas irigasi Batang Tingakarang. masyarakat. (2) menganalisis tingkat pengaruh pemanfaatan irigasi Batang Tingkarang terhadap sosial ekonomi masyarakat menurut persepsi masyarakat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Populasi dan sampelnya yaitu masyarakat petani pemakai air di daerah irigasi Batang Tingkarang dengan jumlah populasi 1.078 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel yaitu Purposive sampling. Besarnya sampel ditentukan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan jumlah 43 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara menyebar angket kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Analisa data menggunakan rumus persentase. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) ketersediaan air pada irigasi Batang Tingkarang cukup besar dengan rata-rata debit pada tahun 2021 yaitu sebesar 54.663,8 L/dt atau 54,66 m3/dt. (2) masyarakat memanfaatkan air irigasi untuk keperluan mengairi sawah, kolam ikan, tanaman palawija seperti jagung, kacang, sayur-sayuran, dan PDAM. Irigasi Batang Tingkarang mengairi 12 petak tersier sawah dengan luas layanan baku yaitu 969 ha. (3) pemanfaatan irigasi Batang Tingkarang memberikan pengaruh yang tinggi terhadap aktivitas sosial ekonomi masyarakat, dengan hasil perhitungan 0,71 yang berarti berada pada interval koefisien 0,60 – 0,799 dengan tingkat hubungan yang tinggi. Kata Kunci : Pemanfaatan Irigasi, Purposive sampling, Sosial Ekonomi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to find out (1) the effectiveness of memorization learning strategies, (2) the effectiveness of elaboration learning strategies, (3) the effectiveness of organizing learning strategies, (4) the effectiveness of metcognitive learning strategies, (5) the effectiveness of affective learning strategies, (6) what learning strategies are appropriately applied by learners during the covid19 pandemic in Sma Negeri 1 Rakit Kulim. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The population in this study was all students of class XI IPS in State High School 1 Rakit Kulim. Determination of the sample using total sampling. The source of this research data comes directly from students of kela IX IPS. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study showed that: (1) Learning strategies by memorization were less effectively carried out in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim by 50% or 13 learners expressed less effective, (3) Learning strategies by elaboration were less effectively carried out in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim by 42% or 11 learners expressed less effective, (3) Learning strategies by effective arrangement were carried out in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim by 73% or 19 learners were effective, (4) Learning strategies by effective metacognitive means are carried out in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim by 50% or 13 learners declared effective, (5) Learning strategies by means of less effective affective strategies are carried out in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim by 50% or 13 learners declared less effective, (6) Strategies that are right applied by learners in conducting geography learning in SMAN 1 Rakit Kulim i.e. organizing strategies with a percentage of 44%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the odd semester final exam questions for class XI IPS SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques using document analysis. The sample in this study was all of the final exam questions for the geography class XI IPS odd semester at SMAN 1 2X11 Kayutanam for the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of this study indicate that the number of Middle Order Thinking Skill (MOTS) questions is the number of questions that are tested the most, namely the percentage results are 60% where the category of questions is at the level of C2 (Understanding) and C3 (Applying), while the questions that are dominated next is Lower Order Thinking Skill (LOTS) with 10 questions out of 40 exam questions with a percentage of 25% in the C1 category (Considering) and the least tested is Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) with a presentation result of 15% which is in the C4 category (Analyze), C5 (Evaluate) and C6 (Create). At the Question Validity level, the results obtained from 40 questions there are 16 (valid) and 24 (invalid) questions; The level of reliability of the question shows a value of 0.63 which has a high reliability; Difficulty level there are 8 questions (very easy), 4 questions (easy), 18 questions (medium), 2 (difficult), 8 (very difficult); There are 5 items (negative), 16 (bad), 10 (enough), 2 (good), 5 (very good); The distractor level consists of 4 questions (very good), 14 (enough), 10 (poor), 8 (not good).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the competence of geography teachers in the use of IT-based media in Padang City High School. This research is a quantitative research method with descriptive type with a sampling technique using Accidental Sampling with a sample size of 30 people. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis using percentage technique. The results of this study are to determine, Geography Teacher Competence in the Utilization of IT-based Media with good categories of 79%, what factors affect the Geography Teacher competence in the use of media, namely age, skills, willingness, facilities, and funding, barriers to Geography teachers in utilizing the media, such as lack of internet access, funds, teacher interest and supporting facilities, solutions to obstacles in the use of media are conducting trainings for teachers related to media, providing enthusiasm and motivation for teachers to be able to study media, facilitating facilities, and trying to get funds to support teachers in the use of IT-based media.
