Abstract

This research aims to find out comparative information about the Payakumbuh City geoportal in Indonesia with the Paris City geoportal in France, challenges in managing data and metadata in the Payakumbuh City geoportal and the impact of utilizing the Payakumbuh City geoportal on city governance. The type of research is qualitative with a comparative descriptive approach. Data collection using interview and observation techniques. The results showed that the Payakumbuh City geoportal has shortcomings in the availability of data and metadata than the Paris City geoportal and the producer agencies that have not produced data are still more than the City of Paris which has agencies that are active in data production, and in data accessibility and the features and functions provided are still relatively few than the Paris City geoportal. The management of data availability and metadata has challenges in producer agencies as the main providers of data in the Payakumbuh City geoportal and the utilization of the Payakumbuh City geoportal for city governance, decision making and public services has had a good impact on the Payakumbuh City government.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the existence of the Aua Sarumpun natural tourist attraction in Rambatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District in terms of the aspect of natural tourism potential, the condition of tourist infrastructure, and the standardization criteria for natural tourism in Aua Sarumpun. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with the research location at the Aua Sarumpun Natural Tourism Object, Rambatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District. The results of the research show that the tourist attraction of Aua Sarumpun is in the form of natural views seeing the beauty of Lake Singkarak surrounded by mountains and hills, many photo spots which are often used as pre-wedding photo locations and are also often used as camping locations in terms of tourism potential. Based on the incomplete condition of infrastructure, such as the lack of a special place for souvenir shopping and road access to Aua Sarumpun which is still difficult to reach. Regarding the criteria for standardizing natural tourism according to SNI 8013:2014, five of the thirteen criteria for standardizing natural tourism in Aua Sarumpun have not been completely fulfilled.

Abstract

This research aims to determine changes in the area of oil palm land in the 2010-2020 period in Gunung Tuleh District, West Pasaman Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive, to see changes in the area of oil palm land using the help of geographic information system applications and remote sensing. The research results show that the area of oil palm land in 2010 was 17,781.75 ha, while in 2020 the area of oil palm land was 15,068.67 ha, so from this analysis it can be seen that the distribution of oil palm land from 2010-2020 has decreased to 2,713.08 ha, This is caused by the conversion of oil palm land into residential areas and other conversions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the value of erosion factors and the level of erosion hazard using the RUSLE method in the Lisun Sub Watershed, Nagari Silokek, Sijunjung Regency. This type of research is quantitative research. The results show that: 1) The erosion factor that most influences the low erosion that occurs in the Lisun Subwatershed is CP where the Lisun Subwatershed still has a very large forest area of 28,886.33 ha (70%) with high forest density so that the amount of erosion can still be controlled.2) The level of erosion hazard in Lisun Sub-watershed includes very light to heavy and consecutive land area in Lisun Sub-watershed from very light 0.247 tons/ha/year (30.65%), light 5.047 tons/ha/year (40.69%) medium 23.007 tons/ha/year (14.33%) and heavy 106.882 tons/ha/year (14.28%) with total erosion of 135.184 tons/ha/year.

Abstract

Based on data from the Solok Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency, Solok Regency has experienced landslides spread across 13 sub-districts. Mapping the danger of landslides is needed for disaster management purposes. The Random Forest method can be used to determine the danger of landslides. Landslide records were obtained from field measurements at 101 points, 80% of the total points were used as training data and 20% for testing data. The AUC value obtained was 0.8533, which means the model is good at predicting landslide danger. The most dominant factors influencing the occurrence of landslides based on variable contribution values are slope slope with values (MDA= 58.89, MDG = 19.10), road distance (MDA = 42.47MDG = 9.54), and elevation (MDA = 24.41, MDG = 7.03). The landslide hazard map was reclassified into five hazard level classes obtained from probability values. The danger is very low (21.55%), low (18.81%), medium (24.78%), high (18.69%), and very high (16.18%).

Abstract

Payakumbuh City is a developing region in West Sumatra. The area has undergone changes in land use due to an increase in the population, leading to a reduction in rice fields as they are converted into residential areas. The aim of this research is to identify the characteristics of changes in rice field land use in Payakumbuh and predict changes in rice field land use by the year 2032. The study utilizes SPOT images from 2019, 2019, and 2022. Driving factors inputted into LanduseSim include main road accessibility, secondary road accessibility, existing settlements, and rivers. The analysis results indicate a consistent decline in rice field land use in Payakumbuh. There has been a shift in the function of rice fields, with the most significant change being the conversion of rice fields into residential areas. Based on the predicted analysis of rice field land use from 2022 to 2032, only residential areas experience changes, with an additional area of 283.43 hectares. The results of the land change prediction in 2032 this can be used as a planning input to focus more on regional imbalances in border area.

Abstract

Human conflicts with crocodiles have become a problem that affects crocodile conservation. Scientific publications on crocodile attack cases in Indonesia are still scarce and need validation, thus mitigation efforts for conflicts are not yet optimal. Tanjung Mutiara Subdistrict is an area with the highest incidence of human-crocodile conflicts in West Sumatra, as it has a natural crocodile habitat directly bordering densely populated settlements and community plantations. This research aims to map the distribution of estuarine crocodiles and the potential for conflicts in surrounding settlements. Data processing was conducted using Maxent software, and environmental variables included distance from the river, distance from the coast, distance from plantations, land cover (shrubland), elevation, and temperature. The Maxent software prediction results indicate that the distance from the river is the most influential variable, with an AUC (Area Under Curve) value of 0.863. The output values' range, approaching 1, signifies better predictions. Settlements with activities within one kilometer from the river and coast have the highest potential for human-crocodile conflicts.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to observe the level of population mobility in the outskirts of Bukittinggi City and analyze the mobility patterns occurring in the region. The research employs a quantitative descriptive methodology, utilizing data collection techniques through field observations and interviews. For data mapping, spatial analysis is conducted using Geographic Information System (GIS) with overlay techniques. Findings from the study at four observation points indicate that the inflow of vehicles surpasses the outflow, with the highest vehicle influx recorded on Wednesdays, reaching 37,411 vehicles. This suggests a dependency of the outskirts on Bukittinggi City, particularly in economic, educational, health, and tourism activities. The observed mobility patterns are predominantly daily in nature. Thus, addressing mobility challenges involves enhancing the quality of access to Bukittinggi City and developing infrastructure in the outskirts to alleviate the burden on the city center.
