Abstract

This article has judged how well the P/F changing ratio technique and Arriaga's approach forecast fertility levels in Nepal. The study's goal was accomplished and the logistic curve function was legalized by estimating national fertility rates. Using information from the 2011 till 2021 censuses together with Arriaga's methodology, the following factual investigates the calculation of fertility rates in Nepal. By using cutting edge indirect fertility estimation techniques on a national level, this study seeks to evaluate the fertility change in Nepal. Utilizing information from the 2011 and 2021 Censuses, fertility estimates were produced with an emphasis on last-year births. The findings show that Nepal's fertility rates have recently dropped.

Abstract

We have sorted out some practical uses of exponential function that we are going to study in this report. The report is given more emphasis on real life use of Euler number i.e. e and also on the uses of other exponential function. The sorted out uses of exponential function is based on following topic: real value of money, bit coin value, household saving, production in a factory, and exploitation of forest. Later on, we have also focused on consequences of those problems and find its solution.

Abstract

In recent year study on multivariate special functions and Integral transformation have been booming. In this work, we have focused on Srivastava hypergeometric function , , and with triple variable. We have discussed the literature study and motivation from the recent works on the extension of Srivastava’s multivariable hypergeometric function , , and . In this paper, the extension of , , and is studied based on the generalized beta function and the generalized Pochhammer’s symbol . Furthermore, the Mellin integral transformation and Inverse Mellin integral transformation have been studied for the based extension of the functions , , and . A few of the most recent uses of these transformations in various scientific and engineering fields are also highlighted in this paper. In general, this work seeks to offer a thorough overview of recent breakthroughs in the importance and applications of several integral transforms of Multivariable functions.

Abstract

The objective of this work was to assess the plastic solid waste management among selected schools in Gwadabawa Local Government, Sokoto, Nigeria. A descriptive survey (cross-sectional) study was employed and collected data from portions of schools and respondents. The findings indicate that, demographic characteristics of teacher respondents involved in this study are: Males are 66.7%, females are 33.3%; and the levels of education include, NCE/diploma (58.0%), BSc (26.7%), MSc (13.3%), and PhD (2.0%). Regards to students involved, 48.0% are males, 60.0% are females; 36.0% are 18-20 years old, and 64.0% are above 20 years old. The level of education of students include, 60.0% diploma students, and 40.0% certificates students. The effects are listed in the order of frequency as submitted by participants: Release of gases (20.5%), land pollution (17.0%), water pollution (15.0%), attraction of vermin (11.0%), breeding of diseases (10.5%), loss of biodiversity (7.5%), reduction of beauty of environment (7.5%), offensive odour (5.0%), flooding (5.0%), and particulates release (1.0%). Methods of waste elimination are: open disposal occurs among 37.5% schools; likewise, open disposal and burning, occur in 37.5%; while, use as fertilizer was recorded in 12.5% schools. Waste collection methods are either open dumping (80.0%), or use of containers (20.0%). The use of segregation of waste; therewith, only 20.0% practice segregation, the remaining 80.0% do not practice segregation, rather openly display mixtures of waste materials. The possible remedies to mitigate plastic solid waste mismanagement and effects include, education (awareness) and behavior change (53.3%) was mostly stated, funding (26.7%), improvisation (15.3%), scavenging (3.3%), and innovations (1.3%). Policy makers need to act urgently in diverse ways, and the people are supposed to be educated on ways of remediating plastic waste pollution.

Abstract

Dengue fever, transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes, poses a significant public health threat in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. Despite efforts to control its spread through various means, including vector control strategies and vaccine development, dengue remains a formidable challenge. Mathematical modeling has emerged as a valuable tool in understanding the complex dynamics of dengue transmission and evaluating control strategies, particularly those involving biological control methods.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to Explore the Employability Competencies in Construction Trades: A Comparative Analysis of Bricklaying/Block Laying and Concreting Graduates in Diverse Specializations in Gombe State, Nigeria. The study was guided by three research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. The study's population comprised 85 respondents, including 21 administrators, 48 teachers, and 16 building supervisors, making sampling unnecessary due to the manageable size of the population. Data collection utilized a structured questionnaire titled "Perceived Employability Competencies Questionnaire (PECQ)," specifically designed by the researchers to align with the research questions. The questionnaire featured two sections, A and B, and underwent face validation by three experts in the Department of Technology Education at Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State. The instrument demonstrated a high reliability coefficient of 0.83, determined through Cronbach Alpha. Data analysis for the research questions involved calculating mean and standard deviation, while ANOVA was employed to test null hypotheses at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings of the study revealed among others that 24 employability competencies in bricklaying/block laying possessed and required by Graduate Students of BBC trade. 15 employability competencies in concreting were possessed and required by Graduate Students of BBC trade. It is recommended that Students of BBC trade should be exposed to activities that involve bricklaying and block laying works so that the students can improve their competencies when performing blocklaying work. And administrators of Technical Colleges should ensure that materials for concrete practice are provided to ensure adequate skill acquisition during practical lessons.
