Abstract

Managing renewable energy in smart grids poses a significant challenge due to the inherent uncertainty and variability of energy sources like solar and wind power. To address this issue, we propose a novel approach that leverages the strengths of both Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms. Our method utilizes ELM to model and predict renewable energy generation, enabling more accurate forecasting and planning. Meanwhile, PSO optimizes the parameters of the ELM algorithm, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. We evaluated our approach using a dataset of solar energy production and compared its performance to existing optimization techniques. The results show that our ELM-PSO approach significantly improves the accuracy of renewable energy predictions and reduces energy costs in smart grids. The implications of our research are far-reaching, as our approach can be applied to various renewable energy systems, including wind turbines, solar panels, and hydroelectric power plants. By enhancing the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy utilization, we can create a more sustainable and resilient energy future.

Abstract

In this assignment, we addressed the usage of consumer and producer surplus in various sectors as business sector, medical sector, engineering sector, non profit sector and educational sector. Businesses employ consumer excess to draw in new clients, boost client satisfaction, expand their product offerings, and maintain their position as leaders in their sector. The idea is to determine what advantages consumers can have from purchasing a product and then reduce the price of that product to provide those advantages to them in excess.

Abstract

Many students who will continue their studies to the high school level are confused about choosing a major. This is because most students do not understand the majors at the vocational level, making it difficult for students to enter majors according to the talents and interests of each student. This research is a continuation of previous research that has developed web-based applications. With a majors specialization system using the Inventory Personal Survey Test model system which was built as a majors selection system at the SMK level, mobile access is needed to make it easier for students to access this service via an application on a smartphone. This system is designed using Android Studio and the database creation using MYSQL. The results of the specialization that has been carried out show that the system can be used to conduct online counseling and makes it easier for counselors to collect and analyze counseling results.

Abstract

The rapid rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) in our daily lives has brought significant cybersecurity concerns to the forefront, emphasizing the need for both active and proactive measures. This research provides a comprehensive review of the literature on the cybersecurity challenges and threats faced by various IoT devices. It outlines proposed solutions and structural frameworks while also exploring different methods for detecting and identifying potential threats. Additionally, it highlights research gaps within the industrial and economic sectors of IoT applications. Our findings reveal that the main issues affecting IoT systems include cybercrime and privacy violations. While Artificial Intelligence holds great promise for enhancing cybersecurity, many attacks, particularly those focused on authentication and confidentiality, are still inadequately addressed by existing solutions. This indicates a pressing need for further research and practical testing of the recommended defenses.

Abstract

This study explores the potential of emerging technologies aiming to transform the Nigerian construction industry. The technologies offer innovative solutions to persistent challenges such as inefficiencies, project delays, cost overruns, and safety risks. The Nigerian construction industry (NCI) is, however, reluctant to implement the technologies because of a lack of substantive comprehension of the features of the innovative technologies. Hence, it has become necessary for the NCI to fully understand the benefits and challenges of the emerging technologies for construction project efficiency. The exploratory literature review identified and examined seventeen (17) emerging technologies, revealing sufficient practical benefits such as enhancing productivity, improving safety, saving costs, and increasing transparency. It also identifies some barriers to their adoption, such as high implementation costs, a lack of skilled professionals, resistance to change, and a technological knowledge gap. The findings suggest that while NCI has started adopting these technologies, significant efforts are needed to address infrastructural limitations and promote skill development. The study concludes by discussing the implications of the findings for construction firms and policymakers and recommendations for future research on the adoption of automation technologies in developing economies, particularly Nigeria.

Abstract

The gas distribution sector is a good fit for wireless communications, especially considering how often distribution facilities are located in distant areas. The underlying communications infrastructure needs to be extremely dependable, with a resilient system that links sensors and controls throughout a vast field area network, when working with accumulated and real-time data. The resulting detail assists managers in creating and modifying business processes, managing the station site fully, and increasing operational efficiency. A wireless gas station offers an architecture based on Wi-Fi standards for applications that track and collect data all the way down sto the sensor level. The goal of the research was to install a wireless infrastructure network at a service station. When used in a gas station, plant, enable users to access real-time information, exchange and share sensor readings from the access point, and develop a smart wireless access point system with higher secure encryption than the generic wireless network. The NodeMCU microcontroller, which broadcasts the real-time data to the clients, receives inputs from a temperature, pressure, and humidity sensor. This allows the system to do such activities. It was believed that the built wireless infrastructure will enhance the existing LAN infrastructures. A few basic prerequisites are taken into account. First and foremost, a microcontroller, a sensor unit, software design, and compliance with IEEE 802.11 standards were required.

Abstract

As cloud computing continues to gain popularity, the security of sensitive data stored in the cloud remains a paramount concern for organizations and individuals alike. Traditional encryption methods, while effective, often struggle to balance security, efficiency, and usability. This paper presents a hybrid encryption algorithm that combines the strengths of symmetric and asymmetric encryption to enhance data security in cloud computing environments. The proposed hybrid approach leverages symmetric encryption for fast and efficient data encryption, while asymmetric encryption is utilized for secure key exchange. By implementing this dual-layer encryption strategy, we can significantly improve data confidentiality and integrity during transmission and storage. Additionally, the algorithm incorporates robust key management practices, ensuring that encryption keys are safeguarded against unauthorized access. Through a series of performance evaluations and security assessments, we demonstrate that our hybrid encryption algorithm not only provides superior security but also maintains acceptable levels of performance, making it suitable for real-time applications. The results indicate that this approach effectively mitigates risks associated with data breaches and unauthorized access, positioning it as a viable solution for enhancing data security in cloud computing. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on cloud security, offering a practical framework for organizations to protect their sensitive information in increasingly complex digital landscapes.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of non-government organization in upgrading the socio-economic status of Nepalese women with special reference to Melamchi Municipality-1, Majhuwa, Sindhupalchowk. NGOs in Nepal play a crucial role in the empowerment of women by providing education, economic resources, legal support, and healthcare services. They also advocate for policy reforms and cultural change, addressing the many barriers that women face. While challenges remain, the ongoing efforts of these organizations are laying the groundwork for a more equitable society where women can fully realize their potential. As UN (1995), the women empowerment is the systematic process to make women aware of gender based acquire a greater voice, unequal power relationships in which to speak out against the inequality found in workplace, home and communities. Thus, women could involves taking control over their lives, gaining skills, setting their own agendas, solving their problems and developing their self-reliance etc. This article will be useful to researcher, teachers, students and other concerning individuals and agencies. However, quantitative research methods, descriptive and analytical research designed, deductive approach is applied.
