Abstract

This study aims to determine the description of the office practice program, the description of office practice, and the influence of the office practice program on improving the competence of Office Administration Education students at Universitas  Negeri Makassar. This study is classified as an associative study with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 70 students of the Office Administration Education study program, Department of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas  Negeri Makassar with a simple random sampling technique. In this study, the data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. While the data analysis technique in this study used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the study explain that the office practice variable is in the very good category, while the competence improvement variable is in the very good category. Based on the results of the product moment correlation test, the two variables have a strong relationship. Based on the simple linear regression analysis, it was concluded that there was a positive and significant influence of the office practice program on improving the competence of Office Administration Education students at Universitas  Negeri Makassar. This study reveals that the implementation of the office practice program is running well so that competent students are realized and can compete in the industrial world and gain knowledge and experience that are useful for their future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Education and Training Management Information System (SIMDIKLAT) in the implementation of education and training programs at the Makassar Religious Education and Training Center. Using a qualitative approach with purposive sampling techniques, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman method, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the implementation of SIMDIKLAT has contributed positively to the effectiveness of the management of training activities, especially in terms of accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of the information produced. However, this study also identified several significant challenges, including: (1) the limitation of competent human resources in the operation of SIMDIKLAT, and (2) the lack of comprehensive training for training participants and staff in the use of the system. SIMDIKLAT has increased the efficiency of training management, the optimization of its potential is still constrained by organizational and technical factors. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed, including recommendations for the development of policies and strategies for the implementation of management information systems in the context of government education and training institutions.

Abstract

In the document storage system material, teaching strategies are needed to support the learning process. Because the material discusses archive systems or documents, types of documents, electronic documents, digital documents and so on. Learning goals will be achieved, if teachers strive to choose the right learning strategy. The learning strategy used by educators in the document storage system material is to use the demonstration method, so that educators will easily apply the material and students will easily understand and apply the theories obtained after the learning process. Choosing the right teaching strategy will increase student learning achievement in terms of skills or expertise. The purpose of the study is to examine the effect of the application of the demonstration method on student learning achievement on the document storage system material of the Department of Office Governance Automation at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The approach used is quantitative. Data analysis techniques are descriptive statistics and classical assumption tests. The results of the processing showed: (1) the variable of the application of the demonstration method (X), classified as good. (2) the variable of student learning achievement (Y), reviewed from the student's report card score on the document storage system material which is classified as a very high category with a good score range. (3) The correlation test of product moment is known to have a significant influence and has a moderate relationship. As well as for the simple linear regression test, it shows a positive and significant influence between the variables of the application of the demonstration method (X) on student learning achievement (Y) and the document storage system material at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar

Abstract

Analysis of the Suitability of Productive Learning Competencies with the Implementation of Industrial Work Practice for Automation and Office Management Students of SMK Negeri 3 Sinjai. This research was conducted with the purpose of this research to describe various aspects of the application of productive learning skills in relation to industrial work practices applied by SMK Negeri 3 Sinjai students in the field of automation and office management. The data in this qualitative research was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Five students of grade XI of SMK Negeri 3 Sinjai were used as research subjects. The suitability of the location with the student's study topic is an indication of the research findings. The first step in implementing industrial work practices is for schools to plan productive ability exams. The results of this study are seen in the suitability of the location placement with the student's field of study The process of implementing industrial work practices begins with planning by the school to test the productive ability of the subject matter with the field work material and industrial practice, even though the competencies possessed by students in the field of Automation and Office Management are in accordance with the needs of the industry, there are still challenges because some companies have not been able to offer jobs that match these skills. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that SMK Negeri 3 Sinjai strengthen coordination in establishing cooperation with the industrial sector to ensure the suitability of the field of work needed by the industrial world. With the implementation of prakerin, it is hoped that students will be able to get jobs that are in accordance with the skills and competencies they have mastered in the industrial world.

Abstract

Laboratories have an important role in education. The laboratory is a forum for students to develop themselves, as well as a place to practice a competency. Therefore, laboratory management must certainly be paid attention to. A laboratory with good conditions will facilitate the achievement of effective and efficient learning goals. This study aims to find out the management of the laboratory and to find out the inhibiting factors and supporting factors for the management of the office governance automation laboratory at the Makassar National Vocational High School. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that: 1) the planning carried out includes the planning of the laboratory use schedule, the planning of the procurement of equipment and equipment and the planning of the laboratory management officer which is carried out at the beginning of each semester. However, the planning for equipment procurement has not been fully realized due to budget limitations; 2) the organization of the office governance automation laboratory at the Makassar National Vocational High School has not taken place according to what has been made. This is evidenced by the lack of availability of laboratory management personnel; 3) Maintenance of the Office Governance Automation Laboratory at the Makassar National Vocational High School only carries out daily maintenance, for example sweeping and mopping the floor without regular maintenance. Thus, the maintenance of the office governance automation laboratory at the Makassar National Vocational High School has not been carried out optimally; and 4) supervision of the office governance automation laboratory at the Makassar National Vocational High School is only carried out preventively, namely preventing errors and damage to the use of the laboratory by applying discipline in the laboratory
