Abstract

This article explores the pivotal role of value and culture-based marketing in enhancing employee and consumer engagement within the Indonesian context. Employing a qualitative literature review, the study synthesizes recent research and case studies to examine how marketing strategies rooted in local values and cultural nuances can foster deeper connections with both internal and external stakeholders. The findings indicate that Indonesian companies leveraging value-driven and culturally resonant marketing approaches are more successful in building trust, loyalty, and advocacy among employees and consumers. Value-based marketing, which emphasizes functional, emotional, and experiential benefits, is shown to increase satisfaction and voluntary brand advocacy, particularly when integrated with digital platforms such as social media. Furthermore, culture-based marketing strategies that align with Indonesia’s diverse traditions and social norms enhance the authenticity and relevance of brand messages, leading to stronger engagement and sustained relationships. The literature also highlights the importance of co-creation and participatory approaches, where employees and consumers are actively involved in shaping brand experiences, thus reinforcing organizational identity and competitive advantage. Despite these advantages, challenges such as balancing global brand consistency with local adaptation remain. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on marketing in emerging markets by providing insights into the mechanisms through which value and culture-based strategies drive engagement. The results offer practical implications for marketers and managers seeking to optimize engagement and performance in Indonesia’s dynamic business landscape.

Abstract

This study explores Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an effective tool for marketing and human resource (HR) engagement, emphasizing the alignment of social and business goals. Utilizing a qualitative literature review approach, the research synthesizes existing studies, theoretical frameworks, and practical examples to examine how CSR initiatives can simultaneously enhance brand reputation, consumer loyalty, and employee motivation. The findings reveal that CSR activities, when strategically integrated into marketing and HR practices, foster stronger emotional connections with both external and internal stakeholders. From a marketing perspective, CSR enhances brand authenticity and differentiation, leading to increased consumer trust and advocacy. From an HR standpoint, CSR initiatives contribute to employee engagement by promoting organizational pride, job satisfaction, and a shared sense of purpose. The study also highlights the importance of aligning CSR efforts with core business objectives to ensure sustainability and maximize impact. Challenges such as balancing stakeholder expectations and measuring CSR outcomes are discussed, along with best practices for effective implementation. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on CSR’s dual role in business strategy and organizational development, offering practical insights for managers seeking to leverage CSR as a means to achieve both social responsibility and competitive advantage. The study underscores the critical need for integrated CSR approaches that bridge marketing and HR functions to create cohesive and sustainable value for businesses and society.

Abstract

Optimizing fundraising is a critical challenge for Islamic philanthropic institutions like LAZ (Lembaga Amil Zakat) and BAZNAS (Badan Amil Zakat Nasional) in Indonesia. Despite their significant potential, these organizations often face barriers in maximizing their fundraising efforts due to limited public awareness and understanding of their mission. This study aims to explore the role of philanthropy education as an innovative approach to increase the contributions to LAZ and BAZNAS. Using a qualitative research approach and literature study method, this paper examines existing literature on philanthropy education, its impact on donor behavior, and strategies for effectively integrating it into Islamic fundraising models. The findings indicate that philanthropy education can significantly enhance donor awareness, foster a culture of giving, and strengthen the financial sustainability of LAZ and BAZNAS. Educating the public about the social and spiritual benefits of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah can transform potential donors into active contributors. Additionally, integrating philanthropy education into community outreach, school curricula, and digital platforms can broaden the donor base and encourage long-term commitment to charitable giving. This study concludes that philanthropy education is a promising strategy for optimizing fundraising, requiring coordinated efforts from Islamic institutions, government agencies, and educational organizations. Further research is recommended to assess the practical impact of these educational approaches in different community settings and to develop tailored strategies that address the unique challenges faced by LAZ and BAZNAS in the digital era.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to create a learning medium in the form of an E-Module based on local wisdom, incorporating values related to local wisdom, the environment, and community technology, as well as integrating the Pancasila Student Profile, making it suitable to serve as an English teaching module for junior high school students. The research methodology employed is development research, utilizing Thiagarajan’s 4-D model, which progresses through the stages of Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. The instruments used include expert validation sheets and material validation sheets, consisting of four material aspects with 15 questions and three media aspects with 13 questions; the validation results are analyzed using a percentage formula and then converted. Based on the validation outcomes, the English E-Module based on local wisdom and containing the Pancasila Student Profile is considered suitable for use as teaching material. Specifically, the validation by media experts indicates that the E-learning module is highly feasible, with a percentage of 93,8 %. Furthermore, validation by experts in English material and the Strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile also confirms the feasibility of the E-module, with a percentage of 85.3%, resulting in an overall average validation score of 89.55%. From these findings, it can be concluded that this E-Module, which is based on local wisdom and contains the Pancasila Student Profile, is highly suitable for use as English teaching material for Grade VIII students at SMP N 8 Tangerang City.

Abstract

Pressure ulcers occur due to reduced blood supply and tissue malnutrition caused by continuous pressure on the skin. The incidence of pressure ulcers continues to rise. The prevalence of pressure ulcers remains very high worldwide, with 2.5 million people in the United States, 1.67% in Asia, 50% in Australia, 49% in Europe, 5%-32% in Canada and the UK, and 29% in Jordan. Therefore, an accurate assessment is required. Pressure ulcer assessment using the Braden scale is crucial. Braden scale assessment should be conducted daily, referred to as reassessment, to help prevent the occurrence of pressure ulcers. The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between nurses' knowledge and the implementation of pressure ulcer assessments at Hospital X in 5 inpatient wards and the ICU. The research method involves using the Braden scale as a measurement tool. The study was conducted at Hospital X. The study population includes all nurses in the inpatient wards and the ICU. Using Slovin's formula, 65 respondents were selected. This study employs frequency distribution tests for univariate analysis and Kendall's tau b test for bivariate analysis. The study was carried out from November 2023 to January 2024. Univariate research results: Characteristics of the respondents include those aged 26-35 years (55.4%), female gender (63.1%), Bachelor's degree (53.8%), working experience of 5-10 years (64.6%), sufficient knowledge (39 individuals, 60.0%), and performing pressure ulcer assessments (36 individuals, 55.4%). The bivariate research results showed that there is a significant relationship between nurses' knowledge and the implementation of reassessment for pressure ulcer assessments at Hospital X (p value 0.000). A relationship was found between nurses' knowledge and the implementation of reassessment for pressure ulcer assessments at Hospital X (p value 0.000). It is recommended that nurses improve patient care, especially for patients at risk of developing pressure ulcers, by minimizing the risk of pressure ulcer formation through periodic patient repositioning or mobilization.
