JUMAT: Jurnal Matematika Program Studi Pendidikan Tadris Matematika Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Fattahul Muluk Papua adalah jurnal nasional berbasis penelitian ilmiah, secara rutin diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Tadris Matematika IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua sejak 2023. Kami mengundang para dosen, peneliti, pengkaji, praktisi, dan pemerhati serta mahasiswa S1/S2/S3, untuk mengirimkan paper atau artikel ilmiahnya. Abstract

This research is a survey research. The survey was conducted at MAN 4 Religion. The number of samples is 49 students taken by proposive sampling. Data on students' perceptions of teachers' teaching skills were obtained from distributing questionnaires to students. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed descriptively using the percentage formula. the results of this study are as follows; students' perceptions of the teacher's opening and closing skills, the highest rating when the teacher gives motivation to students is 58%, the highest explanation skills are obtained when the teacher places emphasis on 45%, on questioning skills the highest rating when the teacher encourages students to ask 42%. for the skills to provide the greatest variety of assessments is to provide variations in activities with an achievement of 43%, for the skills to provide reinforcement by the teacher the highest score is 41% namely on strengthening with expressions, reprimanding students wisely obtaining 34% on classroom management skills, and on guiding skills The highest student response group discussion was given to providing the opportunity to participate, namely by 43%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the various difficulties faced by students during brave learning in abstract algebra courses. The research subjects were 4 semesters VI students of Tadris Mathematics at IAIN Fattahul Muluk Papua who teach Abstract Algebra courses. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews of the think-aloud type which make it possible to vilify information through thinking subjects during the learning process. The results of the research show that the difficulties faced by each student vary. However, in general, the difficulties faced by students are understanding the material when using the WhatsApp, Google Classroom, and Zoom Cloud Meeting applications. Comprehension through the WhatsApp Group is less effective because the learning outcomes obtained by students are still low when compared to Google Classroom and Zoom Cloud Meetings.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between mathematics learning outcomes in terms of intelligence quotient (IQ). The subjects of this study were selected based on test results and predetermined categories. The data collection technique used consisted of two tests, namely a math test to find out learning outcomes and an IQ test to measure students' IQ levels. The results showed that the level of the students' IQ affected the learning outcomes obtained. In addition, the results of the interviews show that there are several factors that become obstacles and are often faced by students in learning, including internal and external factors. Internal factors are feeling lazy, not liking math lessons, lack of understanding of the material, and lack of time to practice working on practice questions. The external factors in this study were the unconducive classroom atmosphere which made it difficult for students to focus, the teacher's delivery was difficult to understand, and the lack of motivation and encouragement from the family, such as the presence of parents in student learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of students' mathematics learning independence on the learning outcomes of MAN KEEROM students. The method used in this research is correlational method with quantitative data. The population in this study were students of MAN KEEEROM class 10 with a sample of 4 people on the wrong side. The instruments in this study were 13 questionnaires and 5 number essay tests related to matrix material. Then the results of this study concluded that the effect of learning independence (X) on Mathematics Learning Outcomes (Y) of students was 68.4% while the remaining 31.6% was influenced by other factors not examined.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the location, types, and causes of student errors in solving math problems in SPLDV material. The subjects were 3 students of class IX in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year at SMP Negeri 1 Serui. The research instrument is in the form of SPLDV questions with a total of 2 items. The results showed that the mistakes made by many students were not writing down important information on the questions, making mistakes in making mathematical models, making mistakes in calculating operations, and not writing the final conclusions. While the types of errors made are conceptual, procedural, and also technical errors. Furthermore, it is known that the factors that cause errors are a lack of understanding of the SPLDV concept, errors in arithmetic operations, and lack of accuracy.

Abstract

There have been many studies conducted on the influence of students' AQ levels in learning, especially learning mathematics. Therefore, research that summarizes the research findings of AQ in mathematics teaching is needed. Adversity Quotient can be understood as a person's skill in using his intelligence to be able to survive, face difficulties, reduce difficulties and obstacles into opportunities by improving the way of thinking and acting. The purpose of this study is to show that the AQ level of each student has an effect on their ability to solve and solve math problems. This study uses a method in the form of Systematic Literature Review (SLR) in doing research. Study stage Systematic Literature Review (SLR) is planning, conducting, and reporting. The synthesis of studies related to the purpose of this study was carried out using Google Scholar which obtained 10 primary studies published from 2018-2023. The results of the study provide information that the level of fighting power affects students' ability to solve mathematical problems. Type student quitter in solving problems only able to understand the problem. In problem solving, students type camper able to complete the three stages of Polya. Meanwhile, AQ students climber able to complete the four stages of Polya in solving problems. Therefore, because students' problem-solving abilities vary, teachers must be careful in seeing and estimating the extent of students' AQ levels in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The presence of advanced technology in the current era makes learning evaluation also comes with digital-based, for example, Google Forms. From previous research, Google Forms has many advantages and is effectively applied. However, behind these advantages, of course, there are shortcomings found in Google Forms as a learning evaluation tool.  This study aims to determine the perceptions of mathematics teachers towards the use of Google Forms as a learning evaluation tool and to determine whether or not the use of evaluation through Google Forms in mathematics subjects is effective. The method in this research uses qualitative research. This research was conducted for one day, namely on 10 October 2023 and took place at SD IT Al-Furqan Palangka Raya. The research subject was 1 person, namely the fourth grade Maths Teacher. The instrument in this study was an interview guide. The results showed that the perception of mathematics teachers towards the use of Google Forms as a learning evaluation tool in elementary schools was not effective for their students. Because, when teachers give evaluations to students through Google Forms, they will be able to search first through Google.

Abstract

Forecasting is the systematic process of predicting what might happen in the future, based on information from the past and present, to reduce errors in estimating what will happen. Forecasting does not have to give a definite answer, but tries to approximate future reality. This research aims to forecast pineapple fruit production in Riau Province from 2023 to 2027 using Holt's Double Exponential Smoothing method. This study uses data from 2013 to 2022 obtained from the official website of the Riau Province Statistics Agency. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods. Forecasting results are measured by MAD, MSE, and MAPE metrics. The analysis results show that the forecasting accuracy rate reaches around 68.68% with the smallest forecasting error percentage of around 36.17% which is categorized as quite good forecasting. These results can help stakeholders in agriculture to manage pineapple fruit production more efficiently and accurately.

Abstract

Literacy skills and Islamic values must be possessed by every student. This must also occur in mathematics learning. This study aims to analyze students' mathematical literacy skills in solving Islamic integrated mathematics problems. This type of research uses qualitative research with the aim of describing phenomena in depth. This research was conducted at MTsN 3 Agam at 2023/2024. The sample was 30 students from classes VII and VIII. Data collection was done with tests and interviews. The tests given were in the form of mathematical literacy questions with indicators of communication at the level of applying (C3) and representation at the level of analyzing (C4). Interviews were conducted in depth related to student work after working on test questions so that information could be obtained related to the difficulties or obstacles faced by students while solving Islamic integrated mathematics literacy problems. The results showed that from the test results conducted by students, the average category of assessment of student test results was 3% very good category, 33% good enough category, and 64% poor category. From this percentage, it shows that mathematical literacy skills in MTsN 3 Agam students are still low so that it is necessary to improve mathematical literacy skills in MTsN 3 Agam students.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a branch of science that observes how mathematics is connected to the culture of a society. This research aims to identify and explain various forms of mathematical geometry present in the architectural design of the Majapahit Al Hikam Mosque in Pekalongan, with the goal of mathematics education. The research method is qualitative with an ethnographic approach, where the researcher acts as the primary instrument gathering information through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Historical information about the Majapahit Al Hikam Mosque in Pekalongan was obtained through interviews and literature studies. The research results indicate that the architecture of the Majapahit Al Hikam Mosque in Pekalongan is linked to mathematical geometry concepts such as triangles, hexagons, rectangles, circles, blocks, cylinders, pyramids, reflections, rotations, and so on. This study is a part of ethnomathematics and serves as an alternative tool for learning mathematics, with the hope of being applicable in contextual learning, providing concrete examples of the application of mathematical concepts in everyday life.
