Abstract

Leaders' communication style in motivating the work of members in social organizations is important because it is a method used by leaders in expressing their authority and is implemented and communicated to organize and carry out the management of the organization they lead. Managing organizations that are social in nature is not easy because the members they lead are also social, in contrast to organizations such as governments or companies that have a fixed salary so that the application of rules and policies is easier. In social organizations, communication is one of the influences on the smooth running of the organization. The purpose of this study was to determine the style of organizational communication carried out by the leaders of the Bengkulu Citizens Association, Jabodetabek, in motivating the work of organizational members (especially administrators) so that the organization continues to exist and develop, and to find out the factors that make it successful and which hinder it in running the organization. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Primary data collection used interviews with key informants, namely the chief executive of the Jabodetabek PWK and several members (administrators) as supporting informants. Secondary data is collected by way of observation and documentation. Data analysis uses the analytical model proposed by Miles and Huberman, namely the interactive model, where the steps taken are: data reduction; presentation of data; drawing of conclusions; and data verification. Testing the validity of the data using source triangulation and technique triangulation The results showed that the communication style used by the PWK Jabodetabek leadership organization was the equalitarian style, marked by the existence of a two-way flow of message distribution and leaders' concern for and ability to establish good relationships with subordinates in personal matters and in other spheres.

Abstract

Banyak hal yang menarik ketika melihat bangunan Candi Borobudur seperti pahatan-pahatan relief yang terdapat pada dinding yang mengelilingi candi. Panil-panil relief di Candi Borobudur banyak bercerita dengan menampilkan tubuh-tubuh perempuan yang sebagian besar terbuka tanpa busana pada bagian atas. Berbagai makna dan pesan akan muncul ketika ketika memperhatikan dengan seksama panil-panil pada relief Candi Borobudur yang dibangun sebelum tahun 800 Masehi ini. Dan makna-makna ini dapagt dikaji secara praktis maupun akademis. Bermacam tampilan figur perempuan ditampilkan tentunya sesuai dengan peran mereka. Simbol dan tanda-tanda tubuh perempuan pada relief Candi Borobudur ini merupakan teks-teks yang dapat dibaca sebagai sebuah pesan tentang kehidupan perempuan di zaman itu sesuai dengan ceritanya. Metode penelitian kualitatif dan paradigm interpretif, digunakan disesuaikan dengan kajian-kajian semiotika, seperti genoteks, fenoteks, dan intertekstual sebagai dasar utama ketika akan membaca ataupun mengambil pesan-pesan yang ada pada relief tubuh perempuan di Candi Borobudur.

Abstract

The development of digital technology especially in the field of communication, which is growing rapidly has changed the media environment. The newly implemented national digital broadcasting system in Indonesia will also change viewing patterns and audience habits. Aim this study to explain how to audience perceived after switch from analog to digital in broadcasting media. Starting  Analog Switch Off (AS0) national broadcasting system with migration process from analog to digital going on November 2nd, 2022.  A Long journey to forward to digitalization until governemt policy decided UU Cipta Kerja Omnibus Law on November 22nd, 2020 as legal based for apllied digitalization on broadcasting in Indonesia. This research used Qualitative method with Fenomenology, and the results is positively respond from audiences because with digitalization on broadcasting has more clearly and sharper picture (visual) and audio better than analog.

Abstract

The emergence of Islamic lifestyle trends in Indonesian Muslim society, gave rise to advertising strategies with religious nuances. Various product advertisements include halal logos, use religious attributes, and even use religious figures as brand ambassadors. Religious nuances in advertising practices in various media, both print, electronic and digital in Indonesia have raised opinions on the pros and cons among advertising industry players. This research uses a case study method with a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the opinions of advertising industry players regarding the use of religious nuances, symbols and religious attributes in advertising practice, an issue that occurs in people's lives that continues to develop. After analyzing data from the interview results regarding the use of Islamic nuances in advertising practices in Indonesia based on the grouping of seven perspectives by Glynn, Ostman, and McDonald (2018), the opinions of informants, can be mapped into three groups, namely opinion groups with a Looking-glass perception perspective; Pluralistic ignorance and The third-person effect.

Abstract

The object in this study is the Rest Area located in Jonggol, West Java. The purpose of the study aims to explain the function of social media, especially Whatsapp as a marketing communication medium by business managers in the rest area. Marketing communication is carried out to increase sales of each business actor, in the process of increasing sales, each business actor carries out different ways of promotion. The decrease in income was due to the implementation of PPKM which reduced the number of visits and visits to tourist sites. Research climbing using qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview techniques. The data analysis technique used uses data presentation and is developed into a descriptive narrative with a theoretical approach that is in accordance with marketing communication. The results of this study show that consumers' purchasing decisions in Jonggol Rest Area using Whatsapp communication media as a promotion have a good relationship between managers, stall tenants, and consumers.

Abstract

Every human being has hope in his life. they have a positive will, and can continue to be with the people they care about. This description of hope can be expressed in various ways, one of which is through a music video. One of the musicians who often brings up the theme of hope is BTS, they are considered to always be able to describe the life of teenagers in general, including the matter of hope and longing in life. One of their best works with the theme of hope is the Spring Day, which is predicted to tell about the Sewol Ferry incident that occurred in 2014. This song is an extraordinary achievement for BTS. From the beautiful song lyrics and music video cinematography, the writer finds several representations of hope by using Roland Barthes' Semiotics study.Keywords: BTS, hope, music video, semiotic, Spring Day
