Abstract

This research examined the Effect of Comic Strip Teaching Media to the Ability of Grade Eight of SMP Negeri 1 Tapian Dolok In Writing A Narrative Text.The writer formulates the problem as follow : what is the effect of comic strip teaching media to the ability of grade VIII in writing a narrative text. This research design is quantitative research that based on quasi-experimental research: the post-test only design, aimed to know the effect of technique that given, wheter it influences to the object or not. The sample of this research is taken from two classes that consists of 60 students, 30 students in experimental group in class VIII-2 and 30 students in control group in class VIII-4. The writer found that the mean of  pre-test in experimental group is 65,93, post-test in experimental group is 74,37 and the mean of pre-test in control group is 60,43,  post-test in control group is 65,93 and the writer also found that t-test is higher than t-table. It can be seen from df: 58 (30+30-2) with the table is 1.67 and the level of significance 0.05. It shows that t-test is higher than t-table (4,184> 1.671).After analyzing the data, the researcher concluded that Comic Strip teaching media to the ability in writing a Narrative text.

Abstract

The problem in this research is about the not yet the development of the optimal child free drawing creativity. The purpose of this research is to improve the creativity of free drawing of early age group B using sand media in PAUD Rianda Martubung Medan Labuhan.  The theory used in this research includes theories about free drawing creativity that discusses the ability of children in creating ideas / ideas, imagination / fantasy. The method used in this research is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is group B PAUD Rianda Martubung Medan Labuhan. Number of children subject to 20 children consisting of 10 boys and 10 girls. To obtain the necessary data in this study used an observation sheet on the improvement of free drawing creativity. From the result of data analysis, the average value of children's free drawing creativity in the pre-cycle stage is 31.56%, in the first cycle the creativity of children free drawing is observed from the indicators of free drawing creativity such as imagination, ideas / ideas, confidence , diligent and tenacious, it has increased by 51.56% and in cycle II the average creativity of free drawing of children by using sand media has increased significantly to 82.5%, so it can be concluded that through the use of sand media can improve the creativity of drawing free early childhood group B PAUD Rianda Martubung Medan Labuhan.

Abstract

 In Gorontalo Province, the role of Supervisors of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is not as optimal as has been expected. We stated this based on the results of interviews done by researchers to the PAUD managers and tutors, which few supervisors have obstacles in guiding tutors to manage to learn and in guiding principals to manage early childhood institutions. The problem mightcause by the improper recruitment of supervisors which was not involving the standardization, qualification, and competence of the supervisors. Consequently, it is necessary to improve the competence of PAUD supervisors by, one of them, education and training. Hence, In and On Service Training model based on andragogy presented here.The initial stage to develop this model is to provide the conceptual model. Therefore, the purpose of this early stage of research is to build the conceptual model of in and On service training based on Andragogy and its tools toimprove the competence of PAUD supervisors.The method used in this research is development research, includes: (i) theoretical and regulatory study of supervisory, no formal education, and also education and training, (ii) surveys and identification of supervisor competency profiles, (iii) construction of conceptual model by workshops, and (iv ) Model validation.The result of the model consists of (i) design of training models, tools, guides, and assessment instruments, (ii) teaching materials, (iii) supervisory evaluation tools, (iv) academic supervision tools, and (v) managerial, supervisory material.

Abstract

Ketua Umum PB PGRI Dr. Sulistiyo said "in 2012 in Semarang there are teachers who are liked by  the students and also the community, but when the competency test is very low value and impact on the public's trust in the teacher." This becomes one of the proof of the reality of the problematics of the effectiveness of the current UKG. UKG for teachers in the regions is coercion. As it is known that the expected value of UKG is 80. The same case happened at SDN Experimental Medan City. While the results in the field reported that teachers who actively teach well and liked the students experienced values below the expected standards. Therefore, "LOPEG(Teacher Pedagogical Observation Sheet):Development of instruments to analyze the feasibility of UKG results in SDN Percobaan Medan City is present as a solution, an instrument development to measure teachers' needs and accommodate the aspirations of teachers for the implementation of the UKG which is considered burdensome for teachers as workers professional educators

Abstract

Bandung society is synonymous with Sundanese culture, accepting the impact of the flow of modernization that causes the forgotten values of local cultural wisdom. Local wisdom should be sustained for characters building of the next generation . It is time for local wisdom to be rewarded, reorganized, and re-taught in the education system through educational and learning activities at school. Reintroducing the values of local cultural wisdom to the next generation is considered to be a very important thing to save the morality of the next generation also saves the culture itself. The value of local wisdom sabilulungan imbued by the philosophy of Sundanese silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh, became the core of Sundanese culture that needs to be integrated in the process of education in school. In this paper will describe a way or program that allows the value of local wisdom Sundanese culture, sabilulungan, integrated in the education system, especially for people in the city of Bandung.

Abstract

The research is a development research with the aim to produce a product in the form of Malay Culture based module as a valid and effective learning resource. This research is done through development stage which refers to Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel development design that is 4-D design (four D models). The findings of the research are: 1) the developed module product meets the criteria of good / valid; 2) the effectiveness of the module is summarized based on: (i) Student learning completeness classically in the first test of 79.41% and in the second test of 82.35%, (ii) the achievement of the student's active activity and the ideal time on trial I and trial II is ideal; iii) students' positive responses to module product development on trial I of 92.65% and 95.92% in second try, and (iv) teacher management in learning on trial I and II is good.

Abstract

School phobia is often experienced by preschool children at the beginning of school entry. The child's fear is caused by the child has not felt comfortable and safe with his or her new environment or can be caused by the child is not familiar with the immediate environment as with his family. School phobias can occur up to three days, one week even to mid-semester. Child's fear can be expressed by nailing his body when they are about to enter the school, hiding behind the body that leads to school, crying, shouting and giving reasons to be out of school or to be kept by his parents or those who deliver the children to school. Children who experience school phobia need social and emotional development so that children feel comfortable and safe in school. The social and emotional development of children is derived from the maturity and learning opportunities of various environmental responses to children. Optimal social development is derived from healthy social responses and opportunities given to children to develop positive self- concept. Through drawing activities between children and teachers, children can develop their interests and attitudes and approach to new environments in their school. This article discusses the activities of "DrawingTime"as an activity program that can be done to children aged  4-5  years  who  experienced school phobia  with the  aim that children experience bonding with the school environment, especially teachers and playmates.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the demand for education of love-peace character  in 5-6 year-old children through the teaching of hadits memorization at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Ar-Rasyid, Sukamaju Village, Sunggal Subdistrict, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatera. The research used class teaching action with descriptive method. The research subjects were a teacher and 20 group B students. The data were gathered by conducting observation and data analysis. The result of the study showed that the teaching planning for increasing love-peace character education through the activity of hadits memorization was categorized as successful; its implementation was considered successful, and its result was also very good since every aspect of love-peace character education highly increased.

Abstract

This paper discusses the issue of children's education in families, especially the role of parents in the education of children in the city of Medan. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of parents as social emotional skills coach to help children develop social emotional skills. The sample of this research is 102 children and parents of kindergarten children in Medan City which determined by using area random sampling technique. Social emotional skills data of children were collected using Social Emotional Skills Inventory (SESI) and parental role data as social emotional skill coach were collected using questionnaires. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics to calculate average score, standard deviation and percentage. The results of the analysis show that, (1) the average achievement of the social emotional skills of the children is in moderate to moderate category, and (2) the role of the parent giving social stimulant is in the low category and in general the parents acting as social emotional skill coach tend to repressive style to the igniter.
