Abstract

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by Treponema pallidum which can cause quite severe conditions such as brain infections and body defects which can be dangerous if it occurs in pregnant women.  This type of research is Observational Analytics  with a cross-sectional research design which aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, education of pregnant women and husband's occupation of the incidence of syphilis in the Working Area of the Muara Tembesi Health Center in 2022. This research was conducted in February-April 2022 The population in this study was  all pregnant women in the working area of the Muara Tembesi Health Center in 2021 totaled 338 people with a sample of 77 respondents.  The sampling technique used is Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling.  Data collection used a questionnaire with univariate and bivariate analysis with the statistical test used was chi-square.  The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge (ρ=0.003‹0.05), education (ρ=0.001‹0.05), and work (ρ=0.002‹0.05) on the incidence of syphilis in pregnant women.  ‹0.05).  It was concluded that the higher the knowledge, attitudes of pregnant women, and husband's support became the most dominant factors influencing the class of pregnant women

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of cucumber juice consumption on the reduction of hypertension in women of productive age 20-45 years. The quasi experiment research was used pre and post test with control group design, using a sample of 36 respondents each of 18 respondents for the experimental group and 18 respondents for the control group. Sampling technique using purposive sampling in the working area of Puskesmas Wado, Sumedang, West Java. Analyzed using non-parametric test that was Wilcoxon test and Mann Whitney test to determine the difference between groups. Before treatment was given the mean systole and diastole of the experimental group 160.22 / 96.11 mmHg. The experiment group respondents were given cucumber juice in the morning at least 30 minutes after breakfast for 14 days. After treatment, the respondents of experiment group systole and diastole mean’s are 142,78 / 86,11 mmHg. The result showed there were a significant difference in systole and diastole in the experiment group before and after cucumber juice intervention  (p<0.05). There were a difference systole and diastole between the experimental group and the control group  (p<0.05). For the conclusion there is an effectiveness of cucumber juice as a non-pharmacological alternative treatment to reduce blood pressure.

Abstract

The frequency coverage of ANC I in the first trimester, at least I time in thesecond trimester and at least II times in the third trimester is 70,4% and the coverage of KIE provision during the first trimester ANC is 81,6%. Early detection of pregnancy can be used as an effort to increase the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women by providing early knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women by providing early knowledge about their pregnancy through leaflets. Objectives: to determine the effectiveness of educational information communication (KIE) leaflet media on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about for first trimester laboratory examinations at PMB T, Bogor Regency in 2022.Methodology using a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach. The research sample was 30 pregnant women who visited PMB T in Bogor Regency in the period March to June 2022. The research instrument used leaflets, SAP, and questionnaires.Results are the effectiveness of IEC leaflet media on knowledge (p value = 0.001 0.05), and attitudes (p value = 0.001 0.05) pregnant women about the first trimester laboratory examination at PMB T,s Bogor Regency in 2022.Conclusion is the effectiveness of educational information communication (KIE) leaflet media on the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women about screening first trimester laboratory examinations at PMB T, Bogor Regency in 2022. It is expected to further increase knowledge and skills about the initial of the first trimester laboratory examinations by attending counseling, health education or consultation with health workers, so that they can carry out initial of first trimester laboratory examinations independently and correctly to improve the health status of their babies and reduce mortality. mother and baby

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal where the systolic pressure is 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is 90 mmHg, so that it can lead to pain, complications and death. As the age of elderly women increases, the risk of developing hypertension becomes greater and will cause problems if not addressed or prevented. Hypertension control can be done by pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment with the application of herbal plants, that is Pandanus amaryllifolius leaf decoction. This study aims to determine the effect of consumption of pandan leaf decoction on the blood pressure of elderly women with hypertension in the work area of Ameth Public Health Nusalaut Central Maluku. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a pre and post test design with a control group. The research sample amounted to 34 respondents consisting of 17 people in the experimental group and 17 people in the control group. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis used Wilcoxon test and Man Whitney test. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that the systolic and diastolic blood pressure of the experimental group had p value < 0.05, while the control group's systolic blood pressure was p value < 0.05 and diastolic blood pressure was > 0.05. diastolic pressure, but not significant to the control group diastolic pressure. The results of the Man Whitney test showed that the systolic blood pressure value was p < 0.05 and the diastolic p value was > 0.05. This shows that there are significant differences in the decrease in systolic blood pressure, but not significant differences in diastolic pressure. Consumption of pandan leaf decoction affects the blood pressure of women with hypertension. Pandanus amaryllifolius leaf decoction can be applied in non-pharmacological treatment as a companion for hypertension treatment in health care institutions

Abstract

Basic life support is a skill in initial aid action that refers to maintaining the airway, supporting breathing and circulation. Everyone should have this skill to reduce the adverse impact or severity of the sequelae of cardiac arrest patients. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of knowledge of online motorcycle taxi drivers about basic life support (BLS). , with a sample of 36 respondents. The research took this sample using total sampling technique. The data collection method is to use a questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed univariately with the chi-square test. The results of the study show that online motorcycle taxi drivers' knowledge of Basic Life Support (BLS) is low, 23 respondents (63.8%) and high, 13 respondents (36.2%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that respondents with low knowledge are more than respondents with high knowledge. Knowledge about basic life support is still low, so it is necessary to increase knowledge such as education by health workers to online motorcycle taxi drivers about Basic Life Support (BLS) through direct counseling media, leaflets, brochures and banners

Abstract

Teenagers start smoking for various reasons, such as imitating adult behavior, peer pressure, and imitating the traits of famous people who usually smoke. Adolescents who are likely to have low smoking behavior are adolescents whose family and friends do not smoke, are interested in academic activities or sports, and those who have plans to enter higher education, according to WHO (2018) every 6, 5 seconds one person dies from smoking. WHO research (2018) estimates that people who start smoking in their teens (70% of smokers at an early age) and continue smoking for 2 decades or more, will die 20-25 years earlier than people who have never touched cigarettes. This is the relationship between knowledge of the dangers of smoking and smoking behavior in young men at SMPN 06 Jambi City in 2021. This research was conducted on young men at SMPN 06 Jambi City which was carried out on August 4, 2021, this study was a quantitative study, with a cross sectional approach. Measuring tools using a questionnaire and the method of data collection by filling out a questionnaire. The population in this study was class VIII SMPN 06 Jambi City with a total of 179 students. With a sample of 63 respondents. The sampling method is using proportional random sampling technique and using univariate and bivariate analysis with chi-square statistical test. The results of research on smoking behavior from 63 respondents 54 respondents (85.7%) do not smoke, knowledge of the dangers of smoking from 63 respondents 46 respondents (73.6%) is high. The results of the statistical test show that there is a relationship between knowledge of the dangers of smoking and smoking behavior with a P-Value of 0.004 in young men at SMPN 06 Jambi City in 2021.It is hoped that the results of this study can increase outreach activities in the form of media leaflets, posters and banners about the dangers of smoking through school UKS in collaboration with the local health center.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of transition from child to adulthood. This period experienced rapid growth and development both physically and mentally. Young women who have mature reproductive organs and hormones in their bodies will experience menstruation. Cleanliness must be considered because it will affect a person's health and psychology, especially during menstruation. The phenomenon that occurs when young women are still found to be lazy to maintain cleanliness during menstruation. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of young women about personal hygiene during menstruation. The research method used was descriptive research with a cross-sectional design using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 25 Jambi City. This research was conducted from September 2021 to August 2022. As for the population in the study, all 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 25 Jambi City totaled 90 students. The sample is 47 female students. The results showed that there were 21 girls with good knowledge (44.7%), 24 girls (51.1%) enough, and 2 girls (4.3%) lacking. Respondents have sufficient and good knowledge about personal hygiene during menstruation because aged 12 and 13 years are at the understanding stage, which can be interpreted as an ability to explain correctly about known objects, and can interpret the material correctly. It is suggested that schools through UKS can work together with the health team to provide health education about reproductive health, especially personal hygiene during menstruation and for subsequent researchers to develop further research related to different variables.

Abstract

Pregnant Women Class is a study group for pregnant women with a gestational age between 20 weeks to 32 weeks (before delivery) with a maximum number of 10 participants. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to the participation of pregnant women in the working area ofthe Muaro Tembesi Health Center.This research is a type of analytical research with a cross sectional design. The variables studied were age, occupation, availability of information, family support and knowledge, on class participation of pregnant women, population 44 people and the sampling technik uses total sampling so that the  research sample 44 people. Sources of data in this study through primary data, data obtained through questionnaires adobted which been tested  for validity and reliability, Bivariate and Univariate analysts uses statistic test Chi-Square. The results showed that there was a relationship between age and class participation of pregnant women with (p-value = 0.101>0.05), availability of information (p-value = 0.002>0.05), family support (p-value = 1.00> 0.05), and there is no relationship between work and class participation of pregnant women with (p-value = 0.000>0.05), knowledge (p-value = 0.000>0.05). It is hoped that the results of this research can be an input for health workers, especially midwives to improve the provision of health care, especially in the implementation of guidance, coaching and counseling activities in an effort to increase pregnant women in carrying out class activities for pregnant women.

Abstract

Covid-19 cases are still increasing, both in the world and in Indonesia. Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2021, the total number of confirmed cases in the world reached 122,992,844 positive cases. The updated number of deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the world has reached 2,711,071 cases, and 397,950,709 have received the vaccine. This research is an analytic study with a cross-sectional design. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of vaccine status with family anxiety confirmed by covid 19 in Legok Village, Jambi City. The sampling technique was accidental sampling of 83 respondents. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square and product moment . The results of the analysis that the role and being confirmed by covid were not related to anxiety due to covid 19 (0.81), but there was a significant relationship between vaccine status and family anxiety level (0.011). We would like to thank the Legok Village Head who has facilitated this research. It is hoped that the family and family members will get the next vaccine.

Abstract

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are one of the causes of health, social and economic problems in many countries, and ± 500 million new cases of STDs occur every year worldwide. STDs are the gateway to HIV infection especially syphilis. Syphilis can increase the risk of contracting HIV up to 300 times. The negative consequences of STDs as infertility, stillbirth, congenital abnormalities and cervical cancer. The purpose of this study was to identify the experience of adaptation of STDs sufferers. A qualitative research with phenomenological approach  to 10 participants (2 syphilis patients and 8 HIV/AIDS) which were selected purposively. Data collected using in-depth interview, observations and documentation. Interviews were IMS Clinic and VCT Puskesmas Putri Ayu  and HIV/AIDS sufferers communities in Kota Jambi (Yayasan Kanti Sehati Sejati). Data collection on January 13-16 February 2021, personal interviews last 60-75 minutes and concurrent interviews are 75-120 minutes, recorded with a voice recorder. Data were analyzed descriptively through theme analysis, results 7 themes related to the experience of adaptation of STDs sufferers: 1) complaints and physical complications of STDs  sufferers; 2) the psychological impact of STDs; 3) STD risk factors; 4) STDs treatment; 5) efforts to prevent recurrence/severity; 6) coping mechanisms for PMS sufferers; and 7) behavioral responses of STDs sufferers: physiological, self-concept, role function and interdependence.
