Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of variations in the concentration of gotu kola leaf extract (Centellaasiatica) on the physical, chemical and functional characteristics of natural solid soap.  This research used experimental methods by designing four solid soap formulations: control (without gotu kola leaf extract), formulation A (with 5% extract), formulation B (with 10% extract), and formulation C (with 15% extract). Parameters tested include pH, water content, hardness, foam stability and antioxidant activity. The results showed that increasing the concentration of gotu kola leaf extract significantly affected the characteristics of the soap. The formulation with the highest extract concentration (15%) shows a pH value that remains within the safe range for the skin (8.5-9.0) and a stable water content, which is important for product shelf life. In addition, this formulation also showed increased hardness and better foam stability compared to the control. Adding gotu kola leaf extract at a concentration of 15% produces a natural solid soap that provides the benefits of increasing body endurance, increasing cell regeneration, reducing signs of aging and maintaining skin without negative effects.

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial transition phase vulnerable to risky behaviors such as free sex, which can lead to Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Unwanted Pregnancies (KTD). This study aims to develop the PRASASTI application and evaluate adolescents' understanding of reproductive health, STIs, and prevention of risky sexual behavior. This study contributes by developing PRASASTI, a digital educational application designed to improve adolescents' literacy regarding reproductive health and the prevention of risky sexual behavior. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) through the stages of need analysis, design, development, validation, and limited trial, involving 24 IPPNU adolescent respondents in Bogelan Village, Wonosobo. Data were collected using a structured true-false questionnaire and analyzed descriptively using percentage distribution. The results showed that most respondents had a very high level of knowledge: 100% correctly identified STI types, PMS symptoms, and the psychological impact of free sex, while understanding of puberty, HIV transmission, and the physical impact of STIs reached above 85%. In conclusion, PRASASTI is useful as adolescent-friendly educational media that can support reproductive health literacy, strengthen prevention of risky sexual behavior, and encourage healthier decision-making among adolescents

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) spreads through patients’ daily behaviors such as coughing, mask use, and environmental hygiene all of which depend on how well patients understand TB and its prevenhannya. This study examined the relationship between knowledge and TB transmission prevention behavior among pulmonary TB patients at Arifin Achmad Regional Hospital, Riau Province. A quantitative analytic correlation design with a cross-sectional approach was used. A total of 85 respondents were selected through consecutive sampling according to inclusion criteria. Data were collected via questionnaire from January 13–27, 2026, at the Pulmonary Clinic, then analyzed univariately and bivariately. The majority of respondents were female (51.8%), mostly working as housewives (36.5%), and nearly seven out of ten had only completed primary school (69.4%). Almost all had no family history of TB (98.8%) and had never received prior TB education (97.6%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge and TB transmission prevention behavior. The numbers speak for themselves: patients with low education and no formal education tend not to know what to do. A routine and structured education program in the hospital is not merely complementary — it is part of prevention itself.

Abstract

Complex abstract physics concepts, especially parabolic motion, often challenge students, necessitating development of innovative, engaging instructional materials. This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of a student worksheet designed with a contextual approach and integrated into the 7E learning cycle model. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) framework, this study follows the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). Data were collected through indirect communication techniques, involving structured questionnaires administered to three experts and 22 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap Kalimantan Barat. The results of the media validation, focusing on visual, layout,  and usability, yielded an average score of 78%, placing it in the highly feasible category. Furthermore, material expert validation regarding content accuracy, linguistic clarity, and pedagogical presentation achieved a score of 89%, categorized as very appropriate. User response trials indicated that students showed high levels of interest and positive attitudes toward the worksheet, with an average score of 90% (strongly agree). These findings demonstrate that the developed worksheet is not only valid in terms of content and design but also can supporting the learning process. Consequently, this contextual-oriented worksheet is recommended as a viable teaching tool to enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding in physics education.
