Abstract

Introduction; Streptococcus mutans is the main pathogenic bacteria that cause caries, caries treatment can be done traditionally with medicinal plants, including lemongrass and ginger. Aim; determine the comparison of the effectiveness of citronella leaf extract with ginger extract against Streptococcus mutants. Method; metabolic experimental research with a posttest-only control group design. Data collection by measuring the diameter of the zone of inhibition using shear calipers. Data were analyzed using a one-way ANOVA test. Results; showed that the average inhibitory diameter of 20% citronella extract was 12.00 ± 0.23, and 20% ginger extract was 9.00 ± 0.27 in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutans, while the negative control (DMSO) had no inhibition. The conclusion is that there is a difference in the effectiveness of 20% citronella extract (Cymbopogon nardus) and 20% Curcuma (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) in inhibiting the growth of Streptococcus mutants.

Abstract

Introduction; Nutritional status of a person, apart from being determined by the nutritional content of this food, is also determined by the amount and quality of nutritional intake. This increase in intake can be triggered by an increase in appetite for Black Seed (Nigella sativa.) Objectives; know the effect of Black Seed Extract (Nigella sativa) on Nutritional Status. Method; a purely experimental pre-and post-test study with a control group design. The samples used were 24 rats which were divided into 4 groups. Result; that there was a significant increase in the lee index in the KP 150 KP1 group (p = 0.021) and the 150 KP1 dose group and the positive KP group (0.02) there was no significant pulse. decreased APGAR score in the KP1 dose group of 150 (p = 0.092) and the dose group of 300 (p = 0.327). Conclusion; that there is an effect of Black Seed Extract (Nigella sativa.) on the APGAR Score of physical appearance.

Abstract

Introduction; The smooth surface of the nanofiller composite resin can become rough with the consumption of acidic foods/drinks. Objectives; know the difference of the effect of immersion of lemon juice and cikala acid juice on the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin. Method; laboratory experimental research with nanofiller composite resin samples. Statistical test using ANOVA test. Results; showed that there was a significant difference (p <0.05) between the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin soaked in cikala acid juice and the control group but the results showed no significant difference (p> 0.05) between the roughness of the nanofiller composite resin immersed in water. lemon juice with the control group. Conclusion; that there is a significant difference between the effect of soaking water with cikala acid juice and lemon juice on the surface roughness of the nanofiller composite resin

Abstract

Introduction; The current Covid-19 pandemic is one of the major health crises for individuals in all countries, continents, RAS, and socio-economic groups. Objectives; know the effect of stress on exercise behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method; quantitative research with analytic design and cross-sectional approach. The measuring instruments used were the DASS42 questionnaire (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales 42) and the exercise intensity questionnaire. Result; Of the 60 samples studied, it was found that the largest age frequency distribution in this study was 30 people (50%), the highest gender frequency was 32 women (53.3%), the level of stress that was most often found. namely moderate stress as many as 21 people (35%), the frequency of sports behavior that was mostly found with low intensity was 25 people (41.7%). Conclusion: There is no effect of stress on exercise behavior on students when they enter the covid-19 medical faculty

Abstract

Introduction; family planning is an action that helps individuals or married couples to achieve certain goals in order to avoid unwanted births. Objectives; know the factors that influence family planning acceptors in choosing contraception. Method; using a mixed-method. Quantitative design is used to determine factors of knowledge, education, age, and husband's support. Data collection comes from primary and secondary data, the data collection method used is a questionnaire. Result; That the four variables together do not have a significant effect on the use of non-hormonal contraceptives with an opportunity of 0.2776> 0.05. The magnitude of the influence of the four independent variables together can be seen from the Pseude R-value of 13%. Conclusion; that the factors of age, education, knowledge, and husband's support did not have a significant effect on the choice of contraceptives.
