Abstract

Bullying has an impact on the educational process that does not run conducive; the conditions of the learning atmosphere and the learning process are often obstacles so that the potential development of students does not develop optimally, both physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Bullying is defined as negative behaviour shown by a person or group, done repeatedly and occurs from time to time. This study aims to find out the role of school climate perceptions and masculinity on bullying. The subjects used were 136 students of SMP X who had been bullies. The results of the multiple regression test were R = 0.792, and the F value was 112.149 (p <0.01). The effective contribution of perceived school climate and masculinity to predict bullying was 62.2% and the remaining 37.8%—other factors not examined in this study. The school climate variable has a standardized beta coefficient of -0.380 with a value of -7605 and a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.01), which means that the school climate has a major influence on bullying. The other independent variable is masculinity, with a beta coefficient of 0.436 with a t-value of 7.327 and also a significant level of 0.000 (p<0.01), meaning that masculinity has an influence on bullying. According to these results, it can be concluded that the school climate perception variable and masculinity together play a role in bullying

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important part of teenagers' lives. In addition to keeping them connected to the social environment, especially in the COVID-19 pandemic situation, ICT makes it easier for teenagers to get the various information they need. This study aims to look at the differences in the use of ICT (online games, information search, communication, and internet surfing) in adolescents aged 13-15 years based on gender, and to see the differences in loneliness that may be experienced by teenagers in the COVID-19 pandemic situation due to reduced social interaction with peers. The research sample amounted to 55, consisting of 23 men and 32 women using the Perth A-Loneness Scale (PALs) measuring instrument. Hypothesis testing was done by t-test, it was found that there was no significant difference in the use of ICT based on gender (P-value 0.471). Boys show intensity in the use of online games, while girls are more intensive in the use of communication. Loneliness test results show that there is a significant difference (P-value 0.049). From the results of the study, adolescent girls more often feel alone than boys even though they feel part of a group of friends, girls have a positive attitude towards loneliness, while boys are the opposite.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between optimism and work family balance of fulltimer on Christian church. The subjects in this study were 75 full-timers on Christian churches in the former residency of Madiun with predetermined criteria. The data collection tool used is the work family balance scale and the optimism scale. The analysis technique uses the product moment correlation and regression technique to analyze. The results of the analysis show that there is a positive relationship between optimism and work family balance in church fulltimers with a correlation value of 0.580 (p<0.01). The amount of effective contribution of optimism with work family balance is 28.3%, and the remaining 71.7% is influenced by other variables. The Work Family Balance category for church fulltimers is in the medium category, which is 93.3% and the Optimism of church fulltimers is in the medium category, which is 76%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in facing the world of work in the final year students who are currently taking a thesis at the Sendratasik Department, State University of Padang. The research method used in this research is the quantitative method. The study population numbered 111 people with a sample size of 83 people. The sampling technique in this study is the random sampling technique. Test the validity and reliability in this study using the Alpha Cronbach technique. The item difference index on the Confidence scale moves from rix = 0.304 to rix = 0.801 with a reliability coefficient of α = 0.912. While the item difference index on the Anxiety scale moves from rix = 0.320 to rix = 0.702 with a reliability coefficient of α = 0.912. The technique of collecting data in this study is a scale. Hypothesis testing uses Product Moment testing techniques. Based on the data analysis, the hypothesis was obtained using the analysis formula, which obtained a significant value on the Confidence scale of p = 0.255 with KSZ = 1.014 and anxiety of p = 0.088 with KSZ = 1.251. These results indicate that the p value> 0.05 means that the distribution is normally distributed. Based on the test with Product Moment obtained a significant value of 0.000 smaller than the probability value <0.01. Therefore, as the basis for the decision-making of the Product Moment test, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted with a negative directional correlation, thus there is a relationship between self-confidence and anxiety in final level students who are taking thesis in Sendratasik Department, Padang State University.

Abstract

Interest is a mental activity that directs the tendency and attention to something so that it makes the individual interested in doing something. The biggest factor influencing interest is perception. This study aims to examine the relationship between perceptions of the counseling profession and students' interest in providing counseling services. The sample of this study was 59 students of the tenth grade at SMPN 1 Bua by using random sampling. The data was collected by using perseption scale towards counseling and guidence  and interest in doing counceling and guidence, and then the analyzed by using simple linear regression analysis. The results show that 41% students have positive perseption and 59% have negative perseption, while for the interest shows that 61% have low interest and only 39% have hight interest. Based on the correlation test shows sig value (2-tailed) 0.002<0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that both of the variables have positive correlation. The results of this study indicate that the students' perceptions of the guidance and counseling profession contribute to students' interest in doing counseling services at school.
