Abstract

The research entitled "Operational Management of the Namira Lamongan Mosque as a Waqf Asset" is the result of qualitative research that aims to answer the question of how Naẓir's strategy in operational management is implemented at the Namira Mosque as a waqf asset in the form of a mosque to make the mosque prosperous. and what impact the implementation of operational management will have on the congregation and community. The research results show that the naẓir strategy in operational management implemented by the taker of the Namira Mosque is modern mosque operational management which is implemented through three areas, namely Idarah, Imarah, and Ri'yah. Idarah is the function of mosque management, which is related to all mosque operational activities. Imarah is the function of prospering the mosque as the function of the mosque is the function of worship, and Ri'yah is the function of maintaining the mosque's assets. Namira Mosque is one of the mosques that has various programs for its congregation, guaranteed cleanliness, and good facilities, thereby increasing comfort in worship. Therefore, the Namira Mosque is always busy with visitors, of course, this cannot be separated from how the mosque takmir manages the assets of the Namira Mosque so that the benefits can be felt by the congregation directly. The impact of implementing the Nazir strategy in operational management can be felt directly by the congregation through the various facilities and programs available at the Namira Mosque. The suggestion for future researchers is to research more deeply regarding the operational management of waqf assets, especially waqf assets in the form of mosques. Because many mosques still have waqf status but do not have a modern mosque management system for managing their waqf assets, the function of the mosque cannot be carried out optimally.

Abstract

The development of sharia banking in Indonesia has shown significant progress in the last few decades, with murabahah financing as one of the superior products in great demand by the public. This financing is considered easy and by Islamic economic principles, offers a solution for customers to obtain goods or services without having to pay in cash. The Fatwa of the National Sharia Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) plays an important role as a guideline in the implementation of murabahah products, ensuring that transactions are carried out transparently and fairly, under the provisions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the implementation of the DSN-MUI fatwa regarding murabahah financing in Sharia banking practices. The research results show that although the DSN-MUI fatwa provides a clear legal framework, challenges in harmonizing the provisions of the fatwa and existing regulations are still an obstacle in the implementation of murabahah financing. Therefore, understanding and compliance of Sharia financial institutions with Sharia principles, as well as the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in supervision, is very important to maintain the integrity and trust of the public in Sharia banking products.

Abstract

Consumer protection in the halal industry is an increasingly important issue as the sector grows in the global market. This article discusses the challenges faced in the implementation of consumer protection regulations, particularly concerning compliance with halal standards. Despite the existence of the Consumer Protection Law (UUPK), many industry players have not fully complied with its provisions, to the detriment of consumers. From the perspective of Islamic law, consumer protection is not only concerned with legal aspects but also with business ethics and morality, where the principles of fairness, responsibility, and transparency are important cornerstones. This article also highlights the role of the government and relevant agencies in ensuring compliance with halal standards and the protection of consumer rights. Through this study, it is hoped that a comprehensive solution can be found to improve consumer protection in the halal industry, by the principles of Islamic law. This study recommends increased supervision, law enforcement, and education to the public to strengthen the position of consumers against business actors.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of lecturers in developing the Sharia banking curriculum at STAI Senori Tuban, with a focus on the relevance and adaptability of the curriculum to industry needs. It is hoped that actively involving lecturers in the curriculum development process can improve the quality of education, prepare students to face challenges in the world of work and contribute to the growth of the sharia banking sector in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through interviews with 5 lecturers who taught Sharia banking courses. The research results show that although there is a positive perception of the curriculum, challenges such as a lack of references and training for lecturers still hinder teaching effectiveness. Lecturers also emphasized the importance of collaboration with industry to increase the relevance of the curriculum. This research recommends developing a curriculum responsive to industry changes and increasing lecturer involvement in the curriculum update process so that graduates can compete in an increasingly competitive job market. Thus, this research provides valuable insights for developing sharia banking in higher education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the involvement of lecturers in the salary-deduction-based hajj savings program at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), with a case study at the Islamic College (STAI) Senori Tuban. This program is designed to help employees, especially lecturers, in planning the hajj pilgrimage through an automatic monthly salary deduction scheme. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and relevant documentation. The research subjects consisted of lecturers who participated in the program, lecturers who had not participated in the program, and campus officials involved in financial administration. The results of the study indicate that the level of lecturer involvement in this program is still relatively low. The main driving factors for lecturer involvement are religious motivation and the ease of the autodebit system which makes it easy for them to save in a disciplined manner without having to make manual deposits. However, there are a number of inhibiting factors, such as financial limitations faced by most lecturers, especially those with contract or honorary status, and low sharia financial literacy which causes a lack of understanding of the contract mechanism in the hajj savings program. This study recommends strategies to increase participation through incentives, socialization and education of Islamic finance, and flexibility in determining the amount of salary deductions. Thus, it is expected that lecturers' participation in this program can increase, along with strengthening Islamic financial planning in the Islamic education environment. These findings can also be a reference for other institutions in implementing similar programs to support the spiritual and economic welfare of educators

Abstract

The digital revolution in the Islamic banking sector in Indonesia marks a pivotal transformation from conventional service models to technology-driven, Sharia-compliant financial solutions. This article explores how digital innovation fosters the development of Islamic financial services in Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive approach, this research examines the integration of digital platforms, including mobile banking, fintech sharia, and blockchain, in creating inclusive and transparent Islamic financial ecosystems. The study also highlights the role of regulatory support from financial authorities in accelerating digital adaptation while maintaining Sharia compliance. Key findings indicate that digital transformation not only enhances service efficiency but also expands access to Sharia-compliant finance, particularly for the digitally literate younger generation. However, challenges remain in terms of infrastructure gaps, digital literacy, and the need for standardized Sharia governance frameworks in digital platforms. This paper concludes that the synergy between technology and Islamic values provides a strategic opportunity for Indonesia to lead in global Islamic financial innovation.
