Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a soil moisture control system based on the Arduino Uno microcontroller for ornamental plants. The system uses a soil moisture sensor to detect moisture levels, which are then processed by the Arduino Uno to control a relay and water pump automatically. Soil moisture data is displayed on a 16x2 LCD with an I2C module, allowing real-time monitoring of soil conditions. During testing on different soil conditions (dry, moist, wet), the system successfully activated the water pump when moisture was low and turned it off when the soil was sufficiently moist. The use of I2C for the LCD helps reduce the number of pins used on the Arduino, improving system efficiency. The results show that the system can automatically maintain soil moisture, watering plants only when needed, thus preventing water wastage. This technology holds significant potential for use in ornamental plant care and can be further developed for agricultural applications. By implementing an automated system, the need for manual intervention is minimized, offering a more efficient solution for plant management.

Abstract

The Syariat Islam Office (DSI) of Banda Aceh plays a crucial role in supporting the strategic objectives of the Aceh Government in achieving its vision and mission. One of DSI’s primary tasks is to inventory the number of vehicle assets at the DSI office in Banda Aceh. The asset data is currently recorded manually in the form of archives and documents, and sometimes using Microsoft Excel. This process leads to inefficiencies in terms of space, security, time, and cost, making it difficult to retrieve the required vehicle asset data. Therefore, there is a need for the development of a Vehicle Asset Information System at the Syariat Islam Office. With this system, the vehicle asset data can be accessed anytime, anywhere, and from any computer. The system includes software requirements analysis, design, code generation, testing, and maintenance. This government vehicle asset management system is web-based, using MySQL as the storage medium and PHP as the programming language. The outcome of this system is the ability to process information related to vehicle assets, such as managing vehicle asset data comprehensively. Through this application, it is expected that staff will become more familiar with and utilize a more efficient information system.

Abstract

The "SIMARDI" archival application program is one of the archival applications that can be implemented across all units managing correspondence in both government and private institutions, including the Agricultural and Plantation Office of Aceh. With its systematic and applicative processing capabilities, this application can assist in comprehensive archival management, including the proper and swift classification, orderly file arrangement, rapid and accurate archive data retrieval, as well as guiding the process of archiving reduction across all Regional Work Units (SKPD) and Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD)/State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) within their respective areas. The acceptance of archivists towards the SIMARDI application is measured using the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) method. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the SIMARDI application using the TAM method, to understand the archivists' perceptions and the factors influencing their use of the application. The research method employed is quantitative, utilizing a questionnaire as a tool to collect data from 30 SIMARDI application users. The research results indicate that the archivists' acceptance of the SIMARDI application positively influences the three TAM variables: perceived ease of use (74%), perceived usefulness (72.57%), and technology acceptance (73.80%). These findings suggest that the developers should focus on improving the perceived usefulness variable of the SIMARDI application, as its percentage value is lower compared to the other variables.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of mental health disorders among students, especially depression, has become a major concern in higher education. Based on an analysis of 27,901 student data, it was found that more than 60% of respondents experienced symptoms of depression and suicidal thoughts. This research aims to develop a data visualization dashboard as a tool for early detection and monitoring of students' mental health conditions. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach based on data exploration, utilizing secondary datasets from the Kaggle platform. Visualization is conducted through three main dashboards covering the general conditions of depression, psychosocial and academic risk factors, as well as demographic distribution and intervention strategies. The analysis results show that academic pressure, lack of sleep, and financial stress are the dominant factors. This dashboard facilitates campus stakeholders, such as counselors and lecturers, in making data-driven decisions to formulate more targeted intervention strategies. This findings emphasize the importance of integrating data-driven counseling services, early detection, and tailored intervention approaches for the most vulnerable groups of students based on age and gender.

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement a website-based cooperative inventory system at SMP PGRI 2 Ciledug to improve the efficiency and accuracy of managing goods and transaction data. The previous inventory data management system still relied on Microsoft Excel, which is prone to human error, data duplication, and makes it difficult to track the history of incoming and outgoing goods. In addition, there is no automatic stock notification feature, manual reporting, and no sharing of user access rights, which hinders transparency and accountability. The implementation results show that this system is able to record stock in real-time with automatic updates, provide notification features when stock is running low, and automate the creation of transaction and profit reports. The user-friendly interface and integrated data backup feature also ensure ease of use and data security. Thus, this website-based inventory system significantly improves transparency, operational efficiency, and accountability of inventory management at the SMP PGRI 2 Ciledug cooperative, and supports a faster and more accurate decision-making process.
