Abstract

Karangpring Village has significant potential in coffee commodities, with robusta, arabica, and liberica varieties. This potential makes the village an icon in the national coffee world. Advances in technology and digitalization offer solutions to facilitate daily activities, including in the agricultural sector. Karangpring Village requires the implementation of technology and digitalization to strengthen its superior coffee commodities. The current practice of recording village community finances is still simple and conventional, so digitalization is needed to modernize the process, which is expected to stimulate economic growth and increase the selling value of coffee. This study proposes the SIKEPI (Coffee Financial System) application, which is designed with a simple accounting system so that it is easy to understand and implement by the community. Through socialization, training, and personal assistance, it is hoped that coffee farmers in Karangpring Village can improve digital literacy and accounting understanding through the SIKEPI application.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including education. One of the critical areas in education is the management of laboratory equipment, which traditionally relies on manual systems. This study focuses on the development of a computer-based information system for managing laboratory equipment at SMA Negeri 1 Mutiara, Pidei Regency. The existing manual system was found to be inefficient, leading to frequent errors, delays in maintenance, and difficulties in tracking equipment. The primary goal of this research is to design and implement a system that can automate the recording, categorization, and reporting of laboratory equipment, thus improving the efficiency and accuracy of the process. By utilizing tools such as Microsoft Access and Visual Basic, the proposed system integrates data management processes, providing a more streamlined and error-free system for equipment management. The research follows a structured approach, starting with system analysis, followed by database design, system development, testing, and implementation. The system is designed to be user-friendly, allowing school staff to manage equipment data efficiently, generate timely reports, and ensure proper maintenance. The implementation of this system is expected to reduce errors, speed up data entry, and facilitate better decision-making regarding equipment procurement and maintenance. This study aims to demonstrate the potential of computer-based systems in improving the management of educational resources, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and effective learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an information system for managing incoming and outgoing mail at PT. PLN (PERSERO) Sigli Area, Pidie Regency. The existing manual system, which relied on Microsoft Word and Excel, led to inefficiencies, slow processing times, and the risk of errors in document management. The developed system utilizes Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0 to automate the archiving, searching, and reporting of mail data, significantly improving operational efficiency. The development process involved several key phases: feasibility study, preliminary planning, system analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The feasibility study identified the system’s requirements, while the planning phase mapped out the project scope through design tools such as Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). The system analysis phase involved collaboration with users through interviews and surveys, ensuring the design met organizational needs. The system design phase focused on creating the database structure and process flows, while the implementation phase included coding, testing, and user training. The system’s performance was evaluated by comparing its processing speed and data retrieval accuracy to the old manual system. Results indicated a significant improvement in processing time, user satisfaction, and overall efficiency. This new system replaces the outdated manual method, streamlining mail management and enhancing productivity at PT. PLN (PERSERO) Sigli Area

Abstract

The National Program for Community Empowerment (PNPM-MPd) has played a significant role in improving the welfare of rural communities, especially through its savings and loan groups aimed at empowering women. However, PNPM Peukan Baro Subdistrict still relies on outdated, manual methods using Microsoft Word and Excel for managing data, leading to inefficiency and delays. This study developed an information system using Microsoft Visual BASIC 6.0 and Microsoft Access to automate and improve data management. The system streamlines tasks such as member registration, loan tracking, savings entries, and payment management, ensuring faster data processing, fewer errors, and more accurate reports. The development process included feasibility analysis, user requirement gathering, system design, and implementation. The new system's design focuses on simplicity and user-friendliness, making it accessible to both administrators and group members with limited technical knowledge. After thorough testing and training, the system is expected to improve transparency, accelerate operations, and enhance decision-making within PNPM Peukan Baro. Ultimately, this shift from manual processes to a computerized system aims to support the overall success and efficiency of community empowerment efforts in the region

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and implementation of a computer-based information system for recording house damage in Tangse District, an area frequently affected by natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and landslides. The system is designed to improve the efficiency and accuracy of managing damage data following disasters. The traditional manual data collection method has proven to be slow and prone to errors, slowing down response efforts. The research covers several stages, including needs analysis, system design, implementation, and evaluation. Microsoft Access 2007 was used for database management, and Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 was utilized for the development of the user interface. Evaluation results confirm that the new system enhances data collection efficiency and accelerates the damage reporting process. It also improves coordination between agencies like the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), facilitating faster recovery efforts. The system developed can serve as a model for other regions with similar challenges in managing post-disaster data
