Abstract

The standard used for the dawn prayer time schedule by the Indonesian government is the sun elevation angle 20°. That standard has been corrected a lot because it has not been assumed too late. Early research at dawn is mostly done using simple photometry tools, namely SQM, the processing of SQM output data varies, one of which is by polynomials, by reducing its function to the second derivative, and the first derivative root is substituted into the second derivative, so the turning point solution is represented by ?2y/?2t <0. The GNU Octave application helps to find the root of the first derivative easier and simpler by writing commands so that the root of the first derivative is obtained. With the polynomial method using GNU Octave, analyzing 19 observational data shows that the lowest elevation angle is -21.53 °, which means 1.53 ° faster, or 6 minutes 7.2 seconds from the official schedule, and the highest elevation angle is -11.38 ° or 34 minutes 28.8 seconds slower. On an average the elevation of the Sun angle is -16.59 ° ± 2.82 ° with difference of 3.41 ° or 13 minutes 38.4 seconds from the official schedule.

Abstract

The condition of the pluralistic Indonesian society and various mass organizations raises various views regarding the determination of the beginning of the lunar month. This view is caused by differences in understanding and interpretation of verses and hadiths relating to the beginning of the lunar month. In Indonesia there was a case where when the new moon was below the criteria there was someone who testified to see the new moon and dared to take an oath. In essence, this is contrary to the view of astronomy and civil law in Indonesia. This research is included in the literature research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that astronomically and the procedural law of the religious courts, a person who testifies to seeing the new moon will be validated in astronomy through field data obtained as well as by the procedural law of the religious courts by fulfilling the requirements and criteria that apply in Indonesia, weather conditions that allow it to be seen. hilal, and in accordance with the Decree of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number KMA/095/X/2006.

Abstract

Turkey has a long history in the study of the Islamic Calendar. Since the arrival of Islam in Turkey, the Islamic Calendar has been the main reference in the administration of the kingdom for hundreds of years. Furthermore, the kingdom also paid special attention to developing the Istanbul Observatory, which was considered the most sophisticated observatory at that time, to support the implementation of the early determination of the Hijri month using the observation (rukyat) method. For hundreds of years running, the use of the Hijri calendar then began to be shifted by the Gregorian Calendar System along with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. In addition to changing the calendar system, Mustafa Kemal Attaturk also changed the method of determining the beginning of the month from observation (rukyat) to calculation (hisab). Although it has undergone many changes since the birth of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish government's attention to the Islamic Calendar still continuing. After successfully holding the International Hijri Calendar Unification conference in 1978, in 2016 Turkey also held the same event and introduced the 2016 Turkish criteria. Then, this criterion becomes a reference for several countries in determining the beginning of the Hijri month. Despite getting a lot of criticism regarding the 2016 Turkey Criteria, we need to give appreciation to Turkey for its active role in the development of the Global Islamic calendar discourse.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kota Parepare merupakan salah satu kota di Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan yang masih berpedoman pada jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa. Di kota ini beredar dua jenis jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa yang memiliki sistem dan bentuk yang berbeda. Meskipun telah beredar secara luas di masyarakat namun kedua jadwal waktu salat tersebut belum mendapatkan legalitas hukum. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 7% masjid di Kota Parepare berpedoman pada jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa Pengadilan Agama Parepare dan 90% masjid berpedoman pada jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa PA Makassar. Jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa Pengadilan Agama Parepare masih layak digunakan untuk Kota Parepare karena hanya memiliki selisih 1-3 menit dari waktu sebenarnya sedangkan jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa PA Makassar tidak dianjurkan karena memiliki selisih waktu hingga 6 menit. Faktor yang melatarbelakangi penggunaan jadwal waktu salat sepanjang masa di Kota Parepare ialah faktor pendidikan, faktor ekonomi, faktor budaya dan faktor pemerintah. Kata Kunci:  Implementasi, Jadwal Salat, masjid, hisab, Kota Parepare.   Abstract:       Parepare is one of the cities in South Sulawesi Province which is still guided by the all-time prayer schedules. In this city circulated two types of prayer times that have different systems and forms. Although it has been widely circulated in the community, the two prayer times have not yet received legal legality. This research is included in the field research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that 7% of mosques in Parepare City were guided by the all-time prayer schedule of Parepare Religious Courts and 90% of mosques were guided by the all-time prayer schedule of Makassar Religious Courts. The all-time prayer schedule of Parepare Religious Courts is still suitable for the City of Parepare because it only has a 1-3 minute difference from the actual time, while the all-time prayer schedule of Makassar Religious Courts is not recommended because it has a time difference of up to 6 minutes. The factors behind the use of the all-time prayer schedule in Parepare City are educational factors, economic factors, cultural factors and government factors. Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji pemikiran Tono Saksono tentang tinggi matahari awal waktu Subuh menggunakan perspektif maqasid al-shari'ah, terutama dari segi daruriyyah al-khams, yaitu hifz al-din (menjaga agama), hifz al-nafs (menjaga jiwa), dan hifz al-‘aql (menjaga akal). Kajian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang memadukan metode deskriptif-analitis dan metode astronomi. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi literatur terhadap literatur klasik dan kontemporer terkait penentuan waktu shalat Subuh dan maqāṣid al-sharī’ah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dari perspektif hifz al-din, Tono Saksono berupaya menjaga agama dengan memastikan pelaksanaan shalat Subuh di waktu yang tepat, sebagaimana diatur dalam al-Qur’an dan hadis. Namun, dari perspektif hifz al-nafs, waktu yang diusulkan oleh Tono Saksono menimbulkan kesulitan praktis bagi umat Islam di Indonesia, karena durasi waktu Subuh yang terlalu pendek. Adapun dari perspektif hifz al-‘aql, meskipun keberanian Tono Saksono untuk berbeda pendapat perlu diapresiasi, penting untuk menekankan bahwa setiap ijtihad dan pendapat harus didasarkan pada metodologi yang benar dan akurasi yang tepat. Penggunaan teknologi canggih dalam pengamatan astronomi harus didukung oleh metode yang benar dan analisis yang akurat agar hasilnya dapat diandalkan. Dengan demikian, usaha Tono Saksono dalam menjaga akal harus mencerminkan komitmen terhadap metodologi ilmiah yang tepat guna memastikan bahwa interpretasi hukum yang dihasilkan benar-benar akurat dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan.
