Abstract

The soils of the cultivated fields of the Republic of Karakalpakstan are saline, and the productivity is low. In order to obtain a high yield of agricultural crops in such soils, it is necessary to carry out measures to increase soil fertility. In a field experiment, the effectiveness of using mineral fertilizers, organic fertilizers and licorice waste in feeding cotton was studied. In the obtained data, it was determined that for the good growth and development of the cotton, a good result can be achieved when using organic fertilizers and licorice waste in the amount of 40 and 60 t/ha each. Mineral fertilizers are not used.

Abstract

This article widely covers the linguistic features of ergonyms denoting a farm. Ergonyms are a mirror of the national culture, contain a large amount of information about traditions, customs, mentality and the world perception peculiarities, specific to this or that linguistic community in a given period. The article is devoted to the issue of creating a separate class of ergonyms – service names, which in the structure of the onomastic space of the language act as the names of farming in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Abstract

At the same time, as our experience shows, students of non-linguistic specialties experience difficulties in organizing and conducting presentations, have poor skills in searching and processing information, and are not sufficiently fluent in the terminological vocabulary of their specialty, which, in general, negatively affects the motive reaction to the study of the subject. Therefore, it is necessary to intensify the efforts of teachers to teach students the rules for conducting presentations, show them the advantages of such learning activities, teach them the skill of communicating with an audience and prepare them for a speech. Given the relevance of the problem raised, the purpose of this report is to analyze the theoretical background and reveal the technology of presentations so that they play a teaching role in a foreign language course for special purposes.

Abstract

Planning is very important in university administration. Planning is critical to the attainment of universities goals and objectives. It laid down the foundation for every other process to take off. Academic planning unit in public universities are faced with a lot of challenges. This paper is aimed to discuss the challenges facing Academic planning unit in public Universities in Nigeria. The data were collected from both print and online publications. The paper concluded that inadequate funding, inadequate infrastructural facilities, poor capacity development programme, lack of cooperation, inadequate working materials, poor motivation and shortage of ICT facilities are the major challenges militating against service delivery of Academic planning unit of public Universities in Nigeria. Based on the identified challenges, the paper among other points recommended that the Universities administrators should allocate adequate funds to the Academic planning units and provide efficient and effective ICT facilities among other basic needs as identified in the paper.
