Abstract

The purposes of this research is to know the effectiveness of guidance group bamboo dancing discussion technique to increase student adversity quotient in elementary school. The design of the research that is used is pre experimental one group pretest-posttest desaign. Subject of the research was elementary school student that has low adversity quotient which the amount is 6 persons. Technique of collecting data that is used is adversity quotient questionnaire. The result of clinical analysis showed that there are changes of students behavior become more calm in facing the difficulties, brave to ask when they have difficulties in understanding the material, have brave to face the challenge. It was supported by the result of pretest analysis and posttest used Wilcoxon test showed the increase of posttest which is higher than the pretest. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed Z count equal to -2.207 and Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.027. The conclusion of the research is guidance group bamboo dancing technique is effective to improve students? adversity quotient.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to examine the effectivity of crosses-over group discussion to increase vocational students? creativity. Crosses- over group discussion was a discussion technique that every member of the group switching in certain period until there would be only one person left in the group. Quasi Eksperimental Design was used in this research. The students with low creativity level as the subject of the research. The subjects were divided into two groups, 25 students as experimental group and 25 students as control group. The instrument used in this research was creativity quisioner for doing pretest and posttest. The researcher used Mann-Whitney technique and clinical analysis to analyze the data. The result of Mann-Whitney test was 24.500 with 0,05 as the significance number (0,000<0,05). It showed that there were different scores between experimental group subject and control group subject after the subjects were given crosses-over group discussion as the treatment. The result proved crosses-group discussion increased the creativity of students at vocational school effectively.

Abstract

This research aims to know the effectiveness of reality counseling with WDEP to improve Junior High School students achievement motivation and its impact on learning achievement. This experimental research used nonequivalent control group design. This research uses achievement motivation scale as the data collecting method. This achievement motivation scale is used to know the student achievement motivation. The subject of this research are VIII grade students of Junior High School in Boyolali who hadlowest achievement motivation. In effort to find this relevant subject, the research uses purpossive sampling technique. In addiction to analyze this subject, this research uses Mann Whitney test and Wilcoxon test as its data analysis techniques. The result of this research shows that significant gain score difference between experimental group and control group (p value=0,025 (0,025< 0,05). The achievement motivation scores of the experimental group are significantly increased more than the control group.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effectivity of self-instruction technique to improve self-confidence of junior high school students. Self-confidence in this research was confidence in learning. The research was a single-case experimental research A-B design. The subject of this research were two subjects which is chosen using purposive sampling technique. The data was collected using self-confident questionare, observation, and interview. Then the data was analyzed using statistic analysis with percentages techniques and clinical analysis. The analysis showed that the calculations using percentages analysis techniques in subject 1 shows the percentages change in the behavior of self-confidence in learning at 62,5%, subject 2 shows change of self-confodencein learning at 61,5%. The result of percentage analysis are supported by the result of clinical analysis, teachers and friends of the subject as significant others in the school states that in each of the research subjects experienced a increase in level of confidence in learning. This shows that there is a difference between the baseline data measurement phase with the data post intervention measurement of self-confidence. Then the hypothesis is proven. The conclusions of this research that self-instruction technique are effective to improve self-confidence of junior high school students.

Abstract

This research purposes to determine the effectiveness of group guidance with symbolic modeling technique for improved students achievement motivation. This research using quasi experimental non equivalent control group design with the middle high school student who have low achivement motivation as research subject. The achievement Motivation level is determained with achievement motivation quitionnaire was validated using product moment test and for reliability test using Alpha- Cronbach test. The Test results showed that group guidance with symbolic modeling technique effective for improved students achievement motivation.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of interpersonal communication training through homeroom technique in group guidance to improve the self-disclosure of the students in Grade VIII of State Junior High School. This research used the quasi experimental method with the non-equivalent control group design. It involved two groups, experimental group and control group. Each group consisted of 10 students. The data of research were collected through questionnaire and observation sheet. They were analyzed by using the Mann-Whitney U?s test. The result of the Mann-Whitney U?s test shows that the p value = 0.001. The result of the observation sheet shows that there was an increase in the students? self-disclosure. Thus, the interpersonal communication training through homeroom technique in group guidance is effective to improve the self-disclosure of the students in grade VIII of State Junior High School

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effectiveness of token economy to improve student?s adversity quotient in elementary school. This research used the pre experimental approach with One Group Pretest Posttest experimental design. Subjects of this study were 10 elementary students who had low Adversity Quotient score. The data were collected through an AQ instrument that had been tested it?s validity and reliability. The analysis of the data used the non parametric statistic with Wilcoxon sign rank test. The result of hypothesis test between pretest and posttest showed p value=0,005 (0,005<0,05), so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This mean that there was some significance differences in student?s AQ score between before and after treatment was given.
