Abstract

This article affirms the concept of productive syncretism as the main analytical framework for understanding the Islamization of Javanese culture during the reign of Sultan Agung. Islamization is not positioned as a process of cultural homogenization, but rather as a creative mechanism that brings together universal Islamic values with local Javanese traditions in a dialogical and functional manner. Through a qualitative historical-cultural approach, analysis of texts such as Serat Sastra Gending and the views of Javanese cultural experts show that this syncretism gave rise to new forms of praxis in palace education, religious artistic expression, and Sufi-influenced spirituality. The research findings show that productive syncretism allows Islamic values to not only be accepted but also reinterpreted in accordance with Javanese cosmology, resulting in a sustainable and contextual cultural system. Thus, the main contribution of this study lies in offering the conceptual framework of productive syncretism as a lens for reading the Islamization of the archipelago, which is relevant for strengthening character, moderate religious diversity, and the preservation of Javanese-Islamic culture in a contemporary context. Keywords: Islamization of Javanese culture, Sultan Agung, Islamic education, religious art, spirituality.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is an essential competency for students; however, science learning in primary schools is often dominated by teacher-centered methods that limit student engagement and conceptual understanding. This study aims to describe the implementation of an inquiry-based approach in strengthening Disciplinary Core Ideas, mapping Science and Engineering Practices skills, and analyzing the relationship between scientific concepts and Crosscutting Concepts at School of Life Lebah Putih. This research employed a qualitative case study design involving semi-structured interviews with the principal, teachers, and students. The findings indicate that the inquiry-based approach enhances students’ active participation, conceptual understanding, and the relevance of science learning to everyday life, although its implementation is constrained by teachers’ reliance on lecture-based instruction. It can be concluded that inquiry-based learning has strong potential to improve scientific literacy in primary education; therefore, the development of locally contextualized learning modules is recommended to support more effective and sustainable implementation aligned with NGSS standards. Keywords: Science Literacy; Inquiry Approach; Basic Education

Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the impact of library anxiety management strategies on librarians’ visiting interest at the Sari Mutiara University Library Unit. Using random sampling of 98 respondents and regression-based analysis, the results demonstrate a positive and significant effect, confirming the strategic role of anxiety management in enhancing library engagement. The implications of this study reveals the implementation of appropriate library anxiety management strategies can increase users' comfort and confidence, thus increasing their interest in visiting the Sari Mutiara Indonesia University Library. This finding emphasizes the importance of strengthening orientation programs, providing supportive librarian services, and assisting with library facility use to encourage optimal library utilization. This research contribution strengthens the understanding of the role of library anxiety management strategies as an important factor influencing user interest in visiting. This finding adds empirical evidence to the field of library science and forms the basis for developing more effective and user-friendly services at the Sari Mutiara Indonesia University Library. Keywords : Management Strategy; Library Anxiety; Visitor Interest

Abstract

Abstract Digital innovation has emerged as a powerful force reshaping legal systems, governance mechanisms, and the protection of human rights worldwide. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital platforms, algorithmic governance, and big data have accelerated legal reform while simultaneously creating new challenges related to inequality, surveillance, and the concentration of unaccountable power. This article explores the nexus between digital innovation, legal reform, and social justice through an interdisciplinary legal approach that combines doctrinal legal analysis with human rights theory, political economy, and ethical perspectives. Employing a qualitative normative methodology based on secondary legal and scholarly sources, the study examines contemporary legal responses to digital transformation and assesses their effectiveness in safeguarding human dignity, equality, and accountability. The analysis reveals that although digital technologies enhance access to information and justice for certain groups, they also exacerbate structural exclusion, algorithmic bias, labor precarity, and transnational regulatory fragmentation. The findings further indicate that legal regulation alone is insufficient to govern digital power in the absence of ethical foundations, integrated social policy, and coordinated global legal frameworks. The study concludes that without a justice-oriented regulatory paradigm, digital legal reform risks reinforcing technocratic domination rather than achieving inclusive and equitable modernization. Accordingly, the article advocates for a human rights–centered, interdisciplinary model of digital governance that places social justice, accountability, and human dignity at the heart of future legal reform. Keywords: Digital innovation, Legal reform, Human rights, Social justice, Digital governance

Abstract

AbstractRice (Oryza sativa L.) is a major staple crop worldwide, yet its productivity is severely constrained by increasing drought stress driven by climate change and water scarcity. Abscisic acid (ABA) signaling plays a central role in regulating plant responses to drought, with the PYR/PYL/RCAR family of ABA receptors acting as key molecular regulators. Among these, OsPYL9 has emerged as an important candidate gene due to its involvement in drought tolerance and circadian rhythm–associated stress regulation. This study aims to enhance drought resilience in rice through precise genome editing of OsPYL9 using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. A locally adapted, high-yielding rice variety will be subjected to targeted gene modification, followed by molecular validation, physiological screening under controlled drought stress, and comprehensive agronomic evaluation. The expected outcomes include improved water-use efficiency, enhanced antioxidant activity, optimized stomatal regulation, and stable grain yield under water-limited conditions. This research provides a sustainable and precise breeding strategy for developing climate-resilient rice varieties and offers significant potential for strengthening food security in drought-prone regions. Keywords: CRISPR/Cas9, OsPYL9, Drought tolerance, Abscisic acid signaling, Rice genomics
