Abstract

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA MOBILE LEARNING DENGAN APLIKASI SCHOOLOGY PADA PEMBELAJARAN GEOGRAFI MATERI HIDROSFER KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 KARANGANYAR Rani Dwi Juniarti 1*)Sarwono2)Danang Endarto2) 1) Mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Universitas Sebelas Maret2) Dosen Pendidikan Geografi FKIP Universitas Sebelas Maret*) E-mail : ranidwijuniarti2582@gmail.comABSTRACTThe purpose of this research are to develop mobile learning instructional media using schoology application of hydrosphere material and determine the feasibility of mobile learning instructional media using schoology applications of hydrosphere The method that applied on this research was research and development (R&D) using  Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) models modified by Molenda. Subjects of this research  are  media experts, material experts and 47 students as respondents. Data obtained from validation assessment of sheet material experts and media experts, and learner? assessment, interview, test and documentation. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis.The stages in this development of research into five steps, including: (1) Analysis (2) Design (3) Development (4) Implementation (5) Evaluation. The results of research are mobile learning instructional media using schoology applications is proferly used for geography instructional in X grade Senior High School based on media expert?s estimation through score 4 (good) on any aspect mode, ie aspects of instructional design, interface design aspects and aspects of expediency. Based on material expert?s estimation got score 4 (good) in aspects of quality material and score 5 (very good) of the advantage of material aspect. Based on one to one evaluation, small group evaluation and field trial evaluation got score  4 (good)  on all properly criteria aspects. The properness of this media is also supported by an increase in the study of students seen from the average value of field trials learners during pre-test was 51.26 and the average post-test score was 79.31. From these data it can be seen that the increase occurred learners' learning outcomes with a 28.05 percentage of 54.72%.Keywords: Mobile learning, Schoology, Hydrosphere, Properness

ABSTRACTSeptiana Eka Kurniawati.THE APPLICATION OF THE MODEL OF ARTICULATION TO IMPROVE THE LEARNING PROCESS AND RESULT IN SOCIAL SCIENCE WITH THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION OF HYDROSPHERE OF THE STUDENTS IN GRADE VII-H OF STATE JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL 3 OF KARTASURA IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2013/2014. Skripsi: The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta, July 2014.The objective of this research is to investigate the improvement of learning process and result in Social Science with the topic of discussion of Hydrosphere through the use of the cooperative learning model of the articulation type of the students in Grade VII-H of State Junior Secondary School 3 of Kartasura in Academic Year 2013/2014.This research used the classroom action research. Its subjects were all of the students in Grade VII-H as many as 30. The sources of data of research were the students and their teacher. The data were gathered through in-depth interview, observation, documentation or archives, and test. They were validated by using the method triangulation, and analyzed by using the descriptive comparative technique of analysis. The result of research shows that the application of the cooperative learning model of the articulation type can improve the quality of learning process and result. There is an improvement in both variables from the initial condition prior to the treatment to the final condition following the treatment in Cycle II. The improvement of the learning process from the initial condition to Cycle I has not achieved the performance indicator stipulated, but it is fulfilled in Cycle II. The learning result of the students improves significantly. Prior to the treatment, their average score is 72, and following the treatment it becomes 75 in Cycle I and 78 in Cycle II respectively with the learning completeness of 100%. Thus, the cooperative learning model of the articulation type can improve the quality of learning process and result of the students in Grade VII-H of State Junior Secondary School 3 of Kartasura. Keywords: Articulation Model Learning.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Lutfihana, ANALISIS SPASIAL MINIMARKET DI KABUPATEN BANYUMAS TAHUN 2011.Skripsi.Surakarta : Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Universitas Sebelas Maret. Surakarta, Juni 2014.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) Mengetahui pola distribusi spasial minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas tahun 2011, (2) Mengetahui kesesuaian lokasi minimarket secara teorities dan yuridis di Kabupaten Banyumas tahun 2011, (3) Mengetahui pengaruh minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas terhadap perkambangan pasar tradisional.Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, maka penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pengukuran lapangan, wawancara dan kuesioner untuk mengetahui pengaruh minimarket terhadap pasar tradisional, dan teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis tetangga terdekat, analisis buffer, analisis lokasi minimarket, dan analisis tabel silang.Hasil penelitian ini adalah : (1) Pola distribusi minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas adalah mengelompok, dari jumlah keseluruhan minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas adalah 106 dan tersebar di 23 kecamatan (nilai T mendekati 0). Pengelompokkan terjadi di Kecamatan Purwokerto Selatan, Purwokerto Utara, Purwokerto Barat, dan Purwokerto Timur. Distribusi minimarket paling banyak di Kecamatan Purwokerto Selatan yaitu 15 minimarket dan paling sedikit di Kecamatan Kebasen, Kecamatan Cilongok, dan Kecamatan Sumbang yaitu 1 minimarket. Terdapat 4 kecamatan yang tidak ada minimarket yaitu Kecamatan Somagede, Kecamatan Kalibagor, Kecamatan Purwojati, dan Kecamatan Gumelar (2) Semua minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas telah sesuai dengan faktor pemilihan lokasi. Menurut Perda Kabupaten Banyumas No. 3 tentang Penataan dan Pembinaan Pasar Tradisional, Pusat Perbelanjaan dan Toko Modern, terdapat 48 (45%) minimarket di Kabupaten Banyumas yang tidak sesuai dengan Pasal 9 yaitu jarak minimarket kurang dari 500 meter. Terdapat 23 (21,7%) minimarket telah melanggar Pasal 17 yaitu jam buka selama 24 jam dan terdapat 37 (34,9%) minimarket telah melanggar Pasal 22 yaitu tidak memiliki Izin Usaha Toko Modern (IUTM). Hanya 25 (23,58%) minimarket yang memenuhi syarat lokasi dan Perda Kabupaten Banyumas sekaligus, sedangkan sisanya 81 (76,42%) minimarket melakukan pelanggaran terhadap Perda. (3) Minimarket berpengaruh terhadap pedagang eceran kecil di sekitar minimarket, tetapi secara umum tidak berpengaruh terhadap pasar tradisional karena barang-barang yang dijual berbeda dengan minimarket. Kata kunci : minimarket, kesesuaian lokasi, pasar tradisional, pengaruhABSTRACT Lutfihana, SPATIAL ANALYSIS OF MINIMARKET IN BANYUMAS REGENCY AT 2011. Surakarta, June 2014.The research aims at providing : (1) The distribution pattern of minimarket in Banyumas regency at 2011, (2) The location suitability according to the theoretical and juridical in Banyumas regency at 2011, (3) the impact of minimarket toward traditional market development in Banyumas regency.Descriptive research method was applied in accordance with the aims of the research. Research population is the minimarkets in Banyumas regency. Data collection techniques are field measuring, interview, questionnaire, and documentation to find out the impact of minimarket toward traditional market. Applied techniques of analysis are nearest neighbor analysis, buffer analysis, mini market location analysis, and cross table analysis.The result of this research reveals : (1) the pattern of minimarket distribution in Banyumas regency are formed into group, from total 106 minimarkets in Banyumas regency are spread in 23 sub districts (T value approach 0). The grouping occurred in South Purwokerto regency, North Purwokerto regency, West Purwokerto regency, and East Purwokerto regency. North Purwokerto have the highest minimarket distribution as many as 15 minimarkets. Kebasen regency, Cilongok regency, and Sumbang regency have the lowest distribution as many as 1 minimarket. There are 4 regencies with no minimarket, they are Somagede, Kalibagor, Purwojati, and Gumelar.  (2) All Minimarkets in Banyumas are appropriate for the location selection factor. According to the local regulation no. 3 of Banyumas regency regarding arrangement and development of traditional market, shopping center and modern shop, there are 48 (45%) minimarkets in Banyumas which do not comply with clause no. 9 since the distance of minimarkets is less than 500 meters. There are 23 (21,7%) minimarkets which do not comply clause no. 17 since open for 24 hours, and there are 37 (34%) minimarkets which do not comply clause no. 22 because they do not have ?Izin Usaha Toko Modern? (IUTM). Only 25 (23,58%) minimarkets which comply with both location requirement and local regulation of Banyumas regency, while the rest 81 (76,42%) minimarkets violate the local regulation. (3) Minimarket has impact toward retailer near it. However, in general, minimarket does not have impact toward traditional market because the commodities are different.Keyword : minimarket, location suitability, traditional market, impact

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objectives of this research are to investigate: (1) the preparedness of Primary School teachers in Sayung sub-district to deal with inundation disaster; (2) the preparedness of Primary School students in Sayung sub-district to deal with inundation disaster; (3) the preparedness of Primary School institutions in Sayung sub-district to deal with inundation disaster; and (4) the preparedness of communities of Primary Schools in relation to spatial analysis of schools in coastal area in Sayung sub-district. This research used the descriptive qualitative research method. Its population was communities of 8 State Primary Schools exposed to inundation in Sayung sub-district. The samples of research were State Primary Schools in Bedono, Sriwulan, Timbulsloko, and Surodadi villages exposed to inundation, teachers, school institutions, and students. They were taken by using the snowball sampling technique. The data of research were collected through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation. The validity of data used triangulate. They were analyzed by using the cognitive test and attitude scale of teachers, students, and school institutions to deal with the inundation disaster. The results of cognitive test and attitude scale were to classify the preparedness of teachers, students, school institutions, and communities of Primary Schools to deal with inundation disaster. The results of research are as follows: 1) One Primary School has teachers with the high-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster, and seven schools have teachers with medium-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster. 2) Three primary schools have students with the high-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster, and five schools have the medium-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster. 3) Two school institutions have the high-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster, and six school institutions have the medium-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster. 4) Four communities of Primary Schools have the high-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster, and other four communities of Primary Schools have the medium-category preparedness to deal with inundation disaster. The differentiator of preparedness of one school from other schools is human resources. Keywords: Inundation, preparedness, and school

The method used a quasi-experimental methods. Research subjects were students of class X Social 1 and X Social 2 Senior High School 1 Boyolali. The sampling technique used in the form of saturated sampling techniques and data collection instruments using tests and observations.The results of this study were 1) Based on the calculation that has been done shows that Pk <Pe is the control group had a smaller percentage than the experimental group. It can be concluded that the incident learning method is more effective than the method of discussion. 2) Based on the calculations have been done on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning outcomes experimental group better than the control group. It can be concluded that the incidence of learning outcomes with more effective method than the method of discussion. Better learning outcomes in the cognitive affective and psychomotor aspects indicate that the incidence of the use of the method on a model of problem based learning is better than the method of discussion.Keywords: Models of Problem Based Learning, Discussion Method, Incident Method, Process and Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to : (1) determine the increase in students? motivation to learn geography in grade XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho Kabupaten Bojonegoro using a Problem Based Learning model, (2) determine the learning outcome in geography in grade XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho Kabupaten Bojonegoro using a Problem Based Learning model.The research method used is Classroom Action Research. It was done in 2 cycles of 4 phases each : planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho Kabupaten Bojonegoro in the second semester of the 2013/2014 school year for the subject of geography. The total number of students was 30, which consisted of 11 female and 19 male students. The data collection techniques used in this study were : documentation, observation, interview, and tests. The data analysis technique implemented was analysis of qualitative description.The result showed that (1) the use of a Problem Based Learning model (PBL) can increase student motivation in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho Kabupaten Bojonegoro within competence 3.2. To analyze environmental conservation in relation to sustainable development. This is demonstrated by the fact that, from observation precycle to cycle I, student motivation increased by 53,34%, from 13,33% to 66,67%. Cycle I to cucle II, student motivation increased by 20%, from 66,67% to 86,67%. (2) the use of Problem Based Learning model (PBL) can increase students motivation in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 1 Ngraho Kabupaten Bojonegoro within competence 3.2. To analyze environmental conservation in relation to sustainable development. From observation precycle to cycle I, the number of students who completed the class grew from 16 students (53,3%) to 20 students (66,7%), an increase of 13,4%. Cycle I to cycle II, the number of students who completed the class grew from 20 students (66,7%) to 25 (83,3%), an increase of 16,67%.Keyword: Problem Based Learning, Study Motivation, Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fajar Pramono. The Simulation of Land Use for Reducing Water Use Index in Sub-watershed Cacaban Karanggayam District Kebumen year 2013 (The Implementation for Teaching  Material Supplement for the Basic Competence Analyzing the Relationship between Human and  Environment as a Result of Hydrosphere Dynamics Class X Semester 2). Thesis, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. August 2014. The purposes of this study were to (1) determine the influence of the land use dynamics on water use index in Sub-watershed Cacaban year 2001 and 2013, (2) determine the land use simulation for reducing water use index in accordance with the function of sub-watershed Cacaban area, (3) determine the implementation of land use simulation results to reduce water use index in sub-watershed Cacaban Karanggayam District Kebumen year 2013 as a teaching materials supplement on the basic competence analyzing the relationship between human and environment as a result of the hydrosphere dynamics class X semester 2.This research was a descriptive study using combined approaches (quantitative-qualitative), and was designed using survey method. The population in this study was a unit of land in Sub-watershed Cacaban. The sampling technique was proportioned sampling and purposive sampling. The techniques of data collection were observation, documentation, interview, and laboratory testing. The techniques of data analysis to determine Water Use Index was done by comparing the availability of water based on Water Balance Thornwaite-Mather method and water needs based on Murtiono model, then the researcher did the simulation of the changing of land use based on the land function for reducing Water Use Index.The results showed that (1) Sub-watershed Cacaban, a change in land use was quite high during the 12 years from 2001 to 2013, especially in the use of dry land and garden, Water Use Index in Sub-watershed Cacaban for 2001 was 0.87 whereas in 2013 was 1.02. Based on the Regulation of Director General of Land Rehabilitation and Social Forestry about Monitoring and Evaluation Guidelines for Watershed No. 4 year 2009 Water Use Index Sub-watershed Cacaban in 2001 were classified into moderate with the range of values of 0.5-1, and the Water Use Index in 2013 were classified into bad since the value more than 1. (2) The application of simulated instruction of land use can reduce water needs, the reduction of water needs during one year were -1,039,661.9 m3/year. Therefore, by applying water needs after simulation can reduce the Water Use Index into 0.34 (from 1.02 to 0.68), and classified into moderate category. It was done within 2 cycle and each of them had 4 phases, that was planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was 32 students who sit in the X grade of social class in even semester at Senior High Scool 7 Surakarta, 2013/2014 academic year. Data collection technique being used in this study were : observation, documentation, questionnaire, and test. Data analysis technique being implemented was comparative descriptive analysis. The research outcome shows that (1) the implementation of authentic assessment is able for increasing student spatial ability on geography in human relationship and environment as the effect of hidrosphere dynamics material in X social grade at Senir High School 7 Surakarta on the second cycle. This could be seen from the attainment of spatial ability was more than 75%. On the secn cycle the amount f spatial ability were : comparation 84%, heirarki 78%, aura 79%, transition 78%, dan association 86% (2) the implementation of authentic assesment was able for increasing the students learning outcome on geography in human relationship and environment as the effect of hidrosphere dynamics material in X grade social at Senior High School 7 Surakarta on the second cycle. It could be seen from the accession of achievement indicator was more than 75% on the second cycle. The degree of accomplishment of the cognitive learning outcome on the second cycle was 81.25%. The degree of accomplishment of the affective learning outcome on the second cycle was 78.1%. The degree of accomplishment of the psychomotor learning outcome on the second cycle was 93.75%. Keywords : Authentic Assessment, Spatial Ability, Learning Outcome.

SOCIETY PERCEPTION TOWARD THE DEGREE OF LAND SUITABILITY GINGER PLANT (CURCUMA XANTHORRIZA ROXB) IN SUBDISTRICT SALAMAN, MAGELANG REGENCY in YEAR 2014 (As Implementation of Geography Learning on Standard Competence: Giving Example of Wise Act in Using Natural Resources on Agriculture Field, XIth Grade Senior High School). Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Sebelas Maret University. August 2014.The research purposes are to know: (1) The degree of land suitability ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; (2) Society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; (3) Landing location of potential area to cultivate ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict; and (4) Implementation study of society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant for Geography learning in XI grade SMA.This is a qualitative research using survey terms, which is analyzed as descriptive using spatial approach. The data are taken from primer and secondary sources using observation, laboratorial analysis, interview and documentary technique. Area sample is 40 units taken from Purposive Sampling technique, and respondent sample is 80 respondents from Stratified Purposive Sampling technique. Data validity use triangulation technique. Data analysis use compatibility, scoring and comparison table method. Research procedure was done systematically and be related to each other.Based on the research?s result, the conclusions are stated as follows: (1) The degree of actual land suitability are class: S2 in eh border factor is 1,93 Ha wide; S3 in oa, eh, rc, and  xc border factor is 38,71 Ha wide; and N is 13,72 Ha wide. The degree of potential suitability are class: S2 in eh and oa border factor is 17,15 Ha wide; S3 in eh, rc, and xc border factor is 23,50 Ha wide and N is 13,72 Ha wide. (2) Society perception toward the degree of land suitability ginger plant in land suitability class: S2 is Low; S3 is Medium; and N is Medium. (3) Landing location of potential area to cultivate ginger plant in Salaman subdistrict consists of three priorities, priority A, priority B and priority C. (4) Implementation of this study for Geography learning at XI grade SMA can be used as learning material and learning media on standard competence: giving example of wise act in using natural resources on agriculture field, which is expected to improve the aspect:affective (interested in study and positive act); cognitive (thinking ability); and psychomotor (practice ability) from students.   Keywords: ginger, land suitability, society perception, and Geography learning
