Abstract

This research aims to find out the effect of Brain Gym on elementary student’s concentration. There was one group on this pra-experimental research, which measured the pre-test and post-test concentrations. 30 samples in this research were selected by purposive sampling technique from level 5 and 6 elementary students. These 30 students were set to do Brain Gym 3 times per week for 4 weeks. We find out from this research that group concentration’s pre test mean result was= 13.633 and for post-test was= 21.00. Wilcoxon signed rank test shows ρ=0,000. Those means that Brain Gym give significant effect on increasing students concentration. We can conclude that students can be increased concentration of learning by practicing Brain Gym regularly. Students may practicing this Brain Gym exercise at least 3 times per week at home in this pandemic condition, or before starting face to face learning when the pandemic is over

Abstract

The research method used was pre-experimental research which was conducted on elementary school students without using a control group. This research was conducted online at SDN Sonorejo 2 Kediri in August 2020. Pain measurement used the Wong-Baker Faces Pain, which was measured at the pretest and posttest. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 4.07 and for the post-test average score was 0.87. This shows that the mean pretest score results are in the interpretation of a little more pain, while the average posttest score results are in the painless interpretation, which means that there is a decrease from the average pretest score results. Wilcoxon test results obtained p value = 0.000 where α = 0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant reduction in low back pain after giving therapeutic exercise

Abstract

This study aims to nalyzing whether cupping is effective in increasing the flection range of motion of low back pain clients. Methods: This study is quassy experimental with one group pre-post test design, cupping care was carried out by a certified nurse giving therapy during the pandemic. This study using 30 acute low back pain clients. ROM was measured before and 15 minutes after cupping care was given. Before cupping 96.7% flection ROM was on 3th degree, 15 minutes after cupping care, the flection ROM of 96.7% respondents increased to 4th. Analysis: using the Wilcoxon test, P value is (0.000) smaller than alpha (0.05). Based on the study the changes of flection ROM are significant due to the increase in endogenous opiates such as endorphins, encephalins, and dinorphins in the body. The opiate is produced during cupping care, so that the concentration of tension decreases and the blood flows properly

Emotional intelligence is needed by adolescents so that adolescents can avoid negative conformity. The aims of this research is analyze the correlation between emotional intelligence and peer conformity in late adolescence. This correlational analytic study was conducted on 191 respondents at “X” University who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The emotional intelligence was measured using a questionnaire that adapted Goleman's theory, while peer conformity was measured using a peer conformity questionnaire. Emotional intelligence and peer conformity data were analyzed using Spearman Rank test. Spearman Rank test showed p value 0.001 <α (0.005), r value = -0.245, so there is a correlation between emotional intelligence and peer conformity in adolescents with a negative correlation. That is, the higher level of adolescent emotional intelligence results in lower conformity with peers.

Abstract

Hypertension is still the number one killer disease in Indonesia. Approximately one billion people worldwide suffer from this disease. Hypertension can be treated with pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. One of the non-pharmacological treatments is autogenic relaxation. This study aims to determine the effect of autogenic relaxation on hypertensive blood pressure changes. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review, a synthesis of systemic, precise, comprehensive literature studies by identifying, analyzing, evaluating through collecting existing data with an explicit search method and involving a critical review process in selecting the studies. The data from 11 journals were obtained from screening a number of journals from Science Direct, and Google Scholar. The results of the analysis showed that there was an effect of autogenic relaxation on blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Autogenic relaxation can benefit changes in blood pressure in hypertensive patients and is suitable if done regularly.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study with the design of the control group. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The study's population was 32. The intervention group (n=16) respondents were given ROM therapy exercises of fingers and spherical grip, control group (n=16) respondents by giving ROM therapy exercise fingers. Exercise is done 2 times a day and done in 3 days for 15-20 minutes each time. Data analysis using Shapiro-Wilk, dependent paired t-test, and independent t-test. Statistical analysis results obtained by the intervention group (Range Of Motion therapy exercises (ROM) of the fingers of the hand and spherical grip exerted a more effective influence compared to the administration of therapy on the control group (ROM) of the fingers of the hand) get an average difference in extremity muscle strength with a p-value of 0.000
