This journal aims to serve as a platform for publishing scientific works, research findings, analytical studies, and critical perspectives in the field of economics and development studies. Abstract

This research's background is that the particular economic zone policy is expectedto increase investment, exports, and Labor value. With the increase in these three sectors,it will drive economic growth and increase the value of GDP.The benefit of this research is to provide information related to the investment, export,and Labor sectors in contributing to the Kotabaru district GRDP value. And this researchcan understand the regional government, the developer, and community institutionsinterested in developing special economic zones in Mekar Putih, Kotabaru Regency.where this research can be a reference in the preparation of strategic plans in thedevelopment of Special Economic Zones in Mekar Putih Kotabaru RegencyThis research method collects data by retrieving data at the related statistical andservice centers. After that, multiple linear regression analysis was carried out to see theinfluence of independent variables on dependent variables. Software used for regressionanalysis is using EviewsThis study's analysis indicates that investment has a significant effect and has apositive influence on GDP. In contrast, exports and Labor do not have a considerableimpact but still positively influence Kotabaru Regency's GDP.

Abstract

Poverty is a complex problem in a development and related to many aspects.The problem of poverty has a close relation with low level of income received by thelabors which caused of education quality that still in low level, the population growthwhich relatively high may caused more unemployment, a different growth ofinvestment in every region that may difficult to create more job field for poor people,if economic growth in a region only dominated by a certain production activities andusing more labors with high education background from other regions, and it causedpoor people should to live in poverty circle.This research is a quantitative research and using the analysis of paneldata.Data from period 2013-2017 and which including all of the regencies/cities inSouth Kalimantan that consists of 13 regencies/cities. The purpose of this research isto analyze how big the effect of education, population growth and investment towardspoverty in South Kalimantan.The result shows that education has a negative effectand not significant, population growth has a negative effect and significant andinvestment has a positive effect and not significant towards poverty in SouthKalimantan.

Abstract

This Research was conducted to (1) analyze the Influence of Population, PoorPopulation, and Open Unemployment on Economic Growth in Banjarbaru city ; (2) tofind out what factors are most dominant in influencing economic growth ini the city ofBanjarbaru.This research was conducted in the city of Banjarbaru with data from thecentral Kalimantas Statistics Agency that can be used indata processing. Data isprocessed using multiple regression analysis (Multiple Regression Analysis) with F Testand T Test.The result of this study prove a positive relationship betwaan the level ofpopulation and economic growth. This shows that the greater the level of population willincrease economic growth in the city of Banjarbaru.

Abstract

This study was conducted to (1) Find out the simultaneous economic growth,provincial minimum wages, and population growth in South Kalimantan Provinceemployment.The study was conducted in the south Kalimantan Province. Data is processedby testing multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 22.Based on the analysis, the study results prove simultaneously that there is anegative influence of population growth and a positive relationship between economicgrowth and provincial minimum wages on employment in the province of SouthKalimantan partially that the provincial minimum wage in the previous year had avery significant influence on employment in the South Kalimantan Province.

Abstract

This research was conducted to (1) analyze the effect of Regional OriginalRevenue, General Allocation Funds, Profit Sharing Funds and Fiscal Stress that affectthe level of independence both simultaneously and partially in the Province of SouthKalimantan; (2) to analyze what are the most dominant variables affecting the level ofindependence in the province of South Kalimantan.The data obtained in this study is from the official website of the SouthKalimantan Provincial Government, namely the Central Kalimantan Statistics Agency,which deals with the South Kalimantan Provincial Government Financial Report and the2002-2016 Budget Realization Report, which is available in BPS publication dataentitled South Kalimantan in Figures.The results of the study show that (1) Local Revenue, General Allocation Funds,Profit Sharing Funds, and Fiscal Stress have an effect on the level of independencesimultaneously; (2) Regional Original Income dan Profit Sharing Funds affect the Levelof Independence; (3) General Allocation Funds and Fiscal Stress have no significanteffect on the Level of Independence; and (4) Regional Original Income is the mostdominant variable that affects the Level of Independence.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of labor, working hours, and price levels on the brick industry production in Pulau Pinang Village, Binuang Sub-district, Tapin District, and the most dominant factor of the three elements. This research uses data analysis tools in software Eviews 9, with multiple linearregression models using the least-squares estimation method. The data used areprimary and secondary. The research results show that labor, working hours, andprice levels significantly affect the level of production both simultaneously andpartially. The factor that offers the most dominant influence in influencing the brickindustry's level of production is the labor factor.

Abstract

Poverty is one of an obstacle faced by nearly all countries around the world,mainly for developing countries. Poverty may be caused by many things such as a lowlevel of education, low level of health, limitation of access towards goods andservices, high level of unemployment, the high and rapid growth of population, lowlevel of income, and others.This study aims to analyze the impact of the Human Development Index, GrossDomestic Regional Product per capita, and Population of Poor People in SouthKalimantan. The method of analysis used in this research is Ordinary Least Square(OLS). Using panel data (pooled data), the combination of time series data startedfrom 2010 until 2017 and cross-section data of 13 regencies/cities in SouthKalimantan. The analysis in this research doing with the help of Eviews 9 software.This research shows that Human Development Index and Population have apositive effect and not significant on the low population in South Kalimantan.Meanwhile, Gross Domestic Regional Product has a negative impact and meaningfulon the bass population in South Kalimantan. Those three variables have a significanteffect simultaneously on low people in South Kalimantan.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of (1) to identify the value of depletion, forestdegradation, and depreciation Tabalong Regency in South Kalimantan Province (2)can see the value of Forestry Sector Green GRDP Tabalong Regency in SouthKalimantan Province. Data is processed using the Green GRDP calculation method.This study proves that the value of the Forestry Sector Green GRDP is smaller thanConventional GRDP. This Green GDRP shows the implementation that the TabalongRegency suffered losses due to the forest's exploitation. The result of the ForestrySector Green GRDP calculation in 2015 amount to Rp -24,413 million, in 2016,amounting to Rp. -10.816 million, and 2017 amount to Rp28,665 million.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of infrastructure development oneconomic growth in south Kalimantan and determine which infrastructure is mostinfluential on economic growth in south Kalimantan. Infrastructure as the productionfactor in this study is represented by road infrastructure, electricity infrastructure,and water infrastructure. At the same time, economic growth is characterized bygross regional income variables. This study uses panel data intending to get the BestLinear Unbiased Estimator results. The results show a Fixed Effect Model that bestfits the data conditions to help get the expected analysis results.This study's final results state that two of the three independent variablespositively and significantly affect the dependent variable. That two variables areelectricity infrastructure and water infrastructure. In contrast, the road infrastructurehas a positive effect but not significant on economic growth in South Kalimantan, andthe infrastructure that most influences economic growth is electricity infrastructure.

Abstract

This study suggests the effect of gross regional domestic product, mean yearsschool, open unemployment, and population to the poverty line in Banjarmasin City in2007-20l7. Poverty is one of the problems in economic development. Therefore in thisstudy, measuring the effect of poverty line and the factors that influence it can befound in the solution and appropriate policies to overcome poverty in Banjarmasin.The scope of this study covers the conditions of poverty in Banjarmasin City.By analyzing for ten years. The analytical method used is the method of multiplelinear regression analysis. By using the R-Square Test (R2), Simultaneous Test (FTest), and Individual Test (t-Test).The study results influence the gross regional domestic product, the averagelength of the school, the open unemployment rate, and population togethersignificantly affect poverty in Banjarmasin City.
