Abstract

The purposes of this research are to: (1) design water injection system, (2) know the fuel consumption, (2) know the CO exhaust emission, (3) know the HC exhaust emission on Honda Mega Pro 2009 that used microcontroller-based water injection with variations of distilled water and methanol mixture. The research was conducted in the Automotive Laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Education, JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta, at Ahmad Yani Street, Number 200, Kartasura. This research used Stargas 898 gas analyzer to test CO (carbon monoxide) and HC (hydrocarbon) exhaust emission. Fuel consumption test used static method with specified engine speed. This research used experimental method. The population in this research was Honda Mega Pro 2009 motorcycles. The sample in this research was Honda Mega Pro 2009 with KC11E1237512 engine number. Data obtained from the testing result are inserted into the table and displayed in graphical form to be analyzed. Data analysis used descriptive quantitative method. The results of the research, can be concluded that: (1)Microcontroller-based water injection system can work properly and correctly. (2) There is a decrease in fuel consumption when use microcontroller-based water injection at 4500 RPM engine speed. The best decline occurred in water injection A60 when 4500 RPM engine speed amounted 11.80% compared with standard condition. (3) There is a decrease in CO exhaust emission on the use of water injection A100 and A90. The best decline occurred in water injection A100 amounted 79.42% compared with standard condition. In addition, there is an increase in CO exhaust emission on the use of water injection A80, A70, A60, A50, and A40. (4) There is an increase in HC exhaust emission on the use of water injection A100, A90, A80, A70, A60, A50, and A40.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are: (1) To determine the chemical composition and aluminium alloy standard codification of cast wheel aluminium. (2)To determine the microstructure before and after welding with oxy - acetylene welding method with preheating on the cast aluminium wheel. (3) To determine the level of hardness, before and after welding with oxy-acetylene welding method with preheating on the cast wheel aluminium. (4) To determine the level of impact strength before and after welding with oxy - acetylene welding method with preheating on the cast wheel aluminium. (5)To add a teaching module of welding technique course with Oxy-Acetylene repair welding method and preheating treatment. The Object in this research used arealuminium castwheels. Techniques of data analysis in this research using descriptive data analysis that is directly observed  experimental results and then analyzed and summing up the results of the research. As an input parameter in analyzing the data include:the testing of chemical composition, microstructure, hardness and impact. From the research, we can concluded that (1) The cast wheel is made of cast aluminium alloy type AA.4011 which has a characteristic non heat-treatable, medium resistant of strength and ductility, resistant to corrosion and has good characteristic of capable cast. (2) Microstructure on  base metal granules, HAZ and the weld area on the material results of oxy-acetylene welding visible form of the element Si granules are scattered in different Al matrix. on the raw area, Si granules are smaller and spread equally on the surface of  Al. on the weld area, Si granules are larger than raw area and spread equally on the surface of  Al. on HAZ area Si is larger and does not spread equally on the surface of  Al. Influence of the preheating treatment of the welds specimen make the cooling rate is more stable, so the microstructure of the raw, HAZ and weld are showed differences not significant. It is seen from the micro image in which the boundary area between the base metal, HAZ, and weld area is not clearly visible. (3) Specimen hardness value of raw material is higher thanoxy-acetylene welding specimens. The average value ofraw material hardness results 65,829BHN. The average value ofoxy-acetylene weldingresults 59,168 BHN. The average hardness oxy-acetylene welding specimens in the HAZ area 62,325BHN. (4) The average value ofraw material impact results 0,0686 J/mm² whilethe average value ofoxy-acetylene weldingresults0,0294 J/mm².

Abstract

This purposes of this research were: (1) To knew how the effect of input voltage of electrolysers to torque on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. (2) To knew how the effect of  ignition timing to torque on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. (3) To knew how the interaction between input voltage of electrolyser and ignition timing to torque on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. (4) To knew how the effect of  input voltage of electrolysers to power on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. (5) To knew how the effect of ignition timing to power on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. (6) To knew how the interaction between input voltage of electrolyser and ignition timing to power on motor cycle Supra-X 125 year 2007. This research used experiment method. Sample research used was Honda Supra X 125 year 2007 with engine number JB81E1108989. The data obtained from the value of  torque and power with variation  input voltage from electrolyser 0 volt, 4 volt, 8 volt and 12 volt used ignition timing standard (15° BTDC) and ignition timing progress (18° BTDC) and back    (12° BTDC). Data finded from result of the research with anava two ways calculation. Based on this reseach can be conclude: (1) it is significance influence between electrolyser input voltage to torque on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007, significance of electrolyser input voltage on 4 volt (2) it was significance influence between variation ignition timing to torque on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007, significance of ignition timing when back to 12O BTDC (3) it interaction significance between variation of electrolyser input voltage and ignition timing to torque on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007 max torque happen at electrolyser input voltage 12 Volt and ignition timing 15° BTDC. (4) it is not significance influence between electrolyser input voltage to power on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007(5) it was significance influence between variation ignition timing to power on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007, significance of ignition timing when back to 12O BTDC (6) it interaction significance between variation of electrolyser input voltage and ignition timing to power on motor cycle Supra X 125 year 2007 max torque happen at input voltage electrolyser 12 Volt and ignition timing 18° BTDC.
