Abstract

The objectives of this research were to get the successfulness: (1) in the identify improvement of the learning activeness in the Lathe Machining subject matter of the students in Grade XI Machinery 3 of Pancasila Vocational High School of Surakarta through the application of the cooperative learning model of the IOC type; and (2) in the identify improvement of the learning achievement in the Lathe Machining subject matter of the students in Grade XI M3 of Pancasila Vocational High School of Surakarta through the application of the cooperative learning model of the IOC type. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of research were the students in Grade XI Machinery 3 of the aforementioned school. The sources of research data were observation sheet on the learning activeness and the test of achievement. The data of research were collected through test, written test items non-test. Students? learning activeness observation sheet during the implementation. They were validated through content validity for the data obtained through test and triangulation time validity for the data obtained through non-test. Analyzed by using the descriptive qualitative and descriptive comparative technique of analysis. The procedures of research consisted of a series of four activities, which were done in s repeated cycle namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The result of research: (1) learning activeness in pre-cycle 50%. the first cyle, the learning activiness 65,19%. The second cycle, the learning activiness 82,37%. The used of cooperative learning model of the IOC type can also improvement learning achievement of the students? with the result: (2) The achievement in pre-cycle 41,67%. The first cycle, the achievement 54,17%. The second cycle, the achievement 83,33%. The conclutions of this research: (1) the used of cooperative learning model of the IOC type at Lathe Machining subject matter can improvement the learning activiness of the students? in Grade XI Machinery 3 of Pancasila Vocational High School of Surakarta, (2) the used of cooperative learning model of the IOC type at Lathe Machining subject matter can improvement the learning achievement of the students? in Grade XI Machinery 3 of Pancasila Vocational High School of Surakarta.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to improve: (1) the verbal communication of the students in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta through the application of the cooperative learning model of the STAD type in the education and training of Basic Automotive Technology in Academic Year 2014/2015, and (2) the learning creativity of the students in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta through the application of the cooperative learning model of the STAD type in the education and training of Basic Automotive Technology in Academic Year 2014/2015. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases i.e. planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Its subjects were the students in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department B of the aforementioned school. The data sources of research were the teacher and students of the school. They were collected through observation, in-depth interview, and documentation and analyzed by using the descriptive quantitative technique of analysis. The results of research are as follows:  1) The application of the cooperative learning model of the STAD type could improve the verbal communication of the students in Grade in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department B of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta on the learning materials of Work Cycle of Four-Stroke Gasoline Engine and Work Cycle of Four-Stroke Diesel Engine. In Cycle I, the percentage of the students who fulfilled the minimum learning completeness was 54.55%, and it became 70.23% in Cycle II. 2) The application of the cooperative learning model of the STAD type could improve the learning creativity of the students in Grade in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department B of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta on the learning materials of Work Cycle of Four-Stroke Gasoline Engine and Work Cycle of Four-Stroke Diesel Engine. In addition, the percentage of the students who completed the criterion was 57.11% in Cycle I and became 71.52% in Cycle II. Thus, the application of the cooperative learning model of the STAD type could improve the verbal communication and learning achievement in the education and training of Basic Automotive Technology in Academic Year 2014/2015 of the students in Grade in Grade X of Automotive Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 5 of Surakarta in Academic Year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the learning activity and activeness in the Gasoline Fuel Sistem Maintenance Practice subject matter of the students in Grade XI of Light Vehicle Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 1 of Sawit, Boyolali. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The process of each cycle was reflected, and the result of the reflection was used as a plan for the next action plan. This research studied the on-going learning process. It used the mixed method of two learning models, namely: discussion learning model and problem-solving learning model. The subjects of research were the students as many as 31 in Grade XI. The data of research were collected through observation sheet. They were validated with the content validity of Expert Judgment and analyzed by using the descriptive comparative technique of analysis. The result of research shows that Prior to the treatment, the students? learning activeness is 57.9%. Following the treatment, it becomes 74% in Cycle I and 86% in Cycle II respectively, meaning that the learning activeness improves as much as 16.1% from Pre-cycle to Cycle I and 12% from Cycle I to Cycle II. In addition, prior to the treatment, the students? learning creativity is 38.5%. Following the treatment, it becomes 58.7% in Cycle I and 74% in Cycle II, signifying that the learning creativity improves as much as 282% from Pre-cycle to Cycle I and 15.3% from Cycle I to Cycle II. Thus, the mixed method of the two learning model can improve the students? learning activity and activeness in the   Gasoline Fuel Sistem Maintenance Practice subject matter of the students in Grade XI of Light Vehicle Engineering Department of State Vocational High School 1 of Sawit, Boyolali.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to get the successfulness: (1) in the improvement  of the learning achievement by implementing of Quantum learning model using computer media in class X O1 SMK Negeri Ngargoyoso in academic year 2014/2015; and (2) in the improvement of the student?s motivation at the application of Quantum learning model using computer media class X O1 SMK Negeri Ngargoyoso in academic year 2014/2015. This research is a classroom action research. It has held in two cycles, which each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject was the students of X O1 SMK Negeri Ngargoyoso. Data were collected through questionnaire of study motivation and written test. They were validated  through construct validity for study motivation variable and content validity for achievement variable. The research shows that the implementation of Quantum learning using computer media could improve student?s motivation and engineering drawings achievement of class X O1 SMK Negeri Ngargoyoso. It can be seen from improvement percentage of student?s motivation in the first cycle reaches out 61,29% in good category, they are 19 students, became 83,87% in good category from all students, they are 26 students. The improvement of achievement can be seen from first condition reaches out 60%, in the first cycle reaches out 51,61% with average 66, became 83,87% with average 80,6 in the second cycle.
