Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of digital platforms has created new opportunities for Islamic preaching (da’wah), including within online gaming communities. Specific Background: Mobile Legends, a widely played mobile game, presents a unique arena where religious messages can intersect with popular gamer culture. Knowledge Gap: While digital da’wah via social media is well-documented, limited research explores its practice within online game live-streaming through the lens of Anthony Giddens’ structuration theory. Aims: This study examines Ustadz Abi Azkakia’s strategies in delivering Islamic values through Mobile Legends live-streaming on TikTok, interpreting interactions between agents and structures. Results: Using autoethnography and participant interviews, findings reveal that Ustadz Abi integrates religious symbols (e.g., peci) and gamer-adapted communication styles to embed tauhid, qada and qadar, and Islamic ethics into gameplay. His approach has been generally well-received, though some players report distraction from the gaming experience. He has established legitimacy and positive influence within the Mobile Legends community. Novelty: This study offers an original perspective on structuration in digital da’wah by showing how a religious figure reshapes online gaming spaces into moral discourse arenas. Implications: Insights highlight the potential and challenges of integrating religious outreach into entertainment-driven digital environments. Abstract

General Background: Social class representation in films plays a significant role in shaping public perceptions of societal hierarchies. Specific Background: The film Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca integrates cultural narratives of Pandawa and Kurawa, offering a rich medium for exploring class distinctions. Knowledge Gap: Despite the prevalence of social stratification themes in Indonesian cinema, limited studies have examined them through Roland Barthes’ semiotic framework. Aims: This study analyzes the representation of social class in Satria Dewa: Gatotkaca using a descriptive qualitative approach with Barthes’ semiotic theory. Results: Analysis identified four key aspects: lifestyle disparities, differences in attire, implicit social boundaries, and class identity shaped by royal lineage. Novelty: The study extends semiotic analysis to a contemporary Indonesian superhero film, linking visual and narrative signs to socio-cultural constructs of class. Implications: Findings provide insights for media scholars and filmmakers on how cinematic signs reinforce or challenge social stratification, highlighting the role of visual storytelling in cultural discourse. Abstract

General Background: Film, as a powerful mass medium, shapes public views by conveying messages through audio and visual elements. The representation of women in media is a crucial area of study, reflecting societal norms and power dynamics. Specific Background: The Indonesian film "Gadis Kretek" offers a narrative rich with the struggles of women within the traditional kretek industry, addressing pervasive issues of gender inequality and patriarchal ideology. Knowledge Gap: While the film has received significant attention, a detailed semiotic analysis of its portrayal of women's struggles against patriarchal structures remains underexplored. Aims: This study aims to analyze the representation of women in "Gadis Kretek" using John Fiske's semiotic framework, examining the levels of reality, representation, and ideology. Results: The analysis reveals that the film represents women's fight against patriarchal domination, evidenced by their limited roles and exclusion from key decision-making processes. Novelty: This research provides a unique and in-depth semiotic reading of the film, illuminating its ideological message on female empowerment and resilience. Implications: The findings underscore the film's role as a medium for social commentary, emphasizing the importance of women's self-awareness and empowerment to overcome inequality and achieve their ambitions within male-dominated industries. Abstract

General Background: The rise of virtual YouTubers (VTubers) represents a significant development in digital entertainment, creating a new space for audience interaction and community formation. Specific Background: The phenomenon of "simping" within the weeb subculture toward VTubers is a notable aspect of this new media landscape. Knowledge Gap: Existing research has yet to fully explore the specific psychological and emotional gratifications that drive this particular fan behavior. Aims: This qualitative study aims to understand how active members of the VTuber fan community utilize and find gratification in their interactions with virtual idols. Results: Findings from interviews with nine informants revealed four key motivations: diversion from real-life stress, cultivation of parasocial relationships, strengthening of social identity within the community, and information seeking (surveillance). Novelty: This research provides a unique and in-depth analysis of the "weeb simp" phenomenon, illuminating the complex ways in which VTubers function as more than just entertainers. Implications: The study concludes that VTubers serve as crucial social agents, fulfilling significant psychological and emotional needs for their audience. Highlights : The study analyzes how VTuber fans, or "weeb simps," fulfill their needs through interaction with virtual idols. The findings identify four key motivations for fan engagement: diversion, personal relationships, social identity, and surveillance. Abstract

(General Background) The rapid development of technology and digital media in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era has transformed the way information is produced and disseminated, especially through social media platforms such as Instagram. (Specific Background) The @Course_Net Instagram account represents a unique example of digital marketing integration and visual communication strategy in the IT education sector. (Knowledge Gap) However, limited studies have explored how brand identity and information systems are formed through visual and interactive communication within online learning communities. (Aims) This study aims to analyze the process of forming brand identity and the role of information systems in shaping digital interaction culture on the @Course_Net Instagram account using a netnographic approach. (Results) The findings reveal that @Course_Net successfully builds a distinctive brand identity through consistent use of minimalist design, specific color schemes, and active two-way interaction that fosters a participatory virtual community. (Novelty) This research contributes a comprehensive understanding of how visual communication and cultural interaction intersect in social media branding for digital education institutions. (Implications) The results highlight the importance of aesthetic consistency and ethical interaction in sustaining audience engagement and strengthening digital brand credibility. Abstract

General Background Nanotechnology has transformed pharmaceutical science by enabling nanoscale delivery systems that overcome major limitations in conventional oral drug administration, including poor solubility, instability, and extensive first-pass metabolism. Specific Background Among lipid-based nanocarriers, nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) have emerged as a second-generation advancement over solid lipid nanoparticles due to their mixed solid–liquid lipid matrix. Knowledge Gap Despite extensive research, the mechanisms by which NLCs enhance oral bioavailability and their comparative advantages across formulation techniques remain insufficiently synthesized. Aims This work consolidates current evidence on the structure, preparation, stability, and functional performance of NLCs as oral drug delivery systems. Results The review indicates that the imperfect or amorphous NLC matrix increases drug loading, modulates release kinetics, improves physicochemical stability, reduces required surfactant concentrations, and promotes lymphatic uptake while attenuating P-glycoprotein efflux. Novelty By integrating mechanistic, formulation, and biopharmaceutical insights, this synthesis highlights the multidimensional superiority of NLCs in enhancing the oral absorption of poorly soluble and labile drugs. Implications NLCs represent a promising platform for next-generation oral therapeutics, with potential to improve clinical efficacy, reduce dosing frequency, and expand the applicability of challenging drug molecules despite remaining manufacturing and regulatory hurdles.Highlight : NLCs provide higher drug loading and reduce crystallization-related leakage. Their small particle size and lipid composition enhance oral absorption and lymphatic uptake. Scalable manufacturing methods support consistent, controlled drug release. Abstract

General Background: Oro-dispersible tablets have emerged as an important advancement in oral solid dosage forms due to their ability to rapidly disintegrate in the oral cavity without water. Specific Background: Their development is driven by patient demand for convenient medication, especially for pediatric, geriatric, and dysphagic populations who experience difficulty swallowing conventional tablets. Knowledge Gap: Despite wide application, comprehensive evaluation of fabrication methods, excipient functions, and characterization parameters across traditional and modern manufacturing technologies remains limited. Aims: This review analyzes the terminology, advantages, limitations, commonly used excipients, manufacturing techniques, and critical quality assessments of ODTs. Results: The study highlights diverse preparation approaches including lyophilization, sublimation, wet granulation, direct compression, mass extrusion, and emerging three-dimensional printing, each offering unique benefits related to disintegration behavior, mechanical strength, and processing efficiency. Novelty: The article synthesizes conventional pharmaceutics knowledge with recent technological innovations such as selective laser sintering and fused deposition modeling, demonstrating how modern techniques enhance precision and personalization of dosage forms. Implications: Findings underscore that optimized excipient selection and manufacturing strategies are fundamental to ensuring rapid disintegration, mechanical stability, acceptable taste, and enhanced bioavailability, reinforcing ODTs as a growing platform for patient-centered drug delivery.Highlight : Oro-dispersible tablets dissolve rapidly on the tongue, improving convenience for patients with swallowing difficulties. Formulation uses specific excipients—especially superdisintegrants—to achieve fast disintegration and effective performance. Can be produced using various traditional and modern manufacturing methods such as direct compression, sublimation, and 3D printing.
