Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a relationship between reading interest and learning outcomes in social studies learning. This type of research is correlational. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 3 Kecamatan Bonjol. This study uses Total Sampling with a total sample of 35 students. The instruments of data colletion used is questionnaire. The data analysis technique used by SPSS v16. Computer data analysis techniques consisted of instrument testing, analysis prerequisite test (normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis test).From the data analysis performed the Pearson Correlation value is 0.650 and r table is 0.344 with a significance level of 5%. The results of the calculation show that r count 0.650 > r table 0.344. The significance value obtained is 0,000 < 0,05. It can be concluded that reading interest has a strong / high relationship with social studies learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 3 Kecamatan Bonjol. Keywords: reading interest, learning outcomes, social studies.

Abstract

Purpose of this  research is to describe in creasins students achievement in social subject (IPS) on cooperative learning type group investigation (GI) model at grade students of SDN 17 KayuArokotapadang.This research use qualitative and quantitative approach. Subject of this research are teacher and 22 students. The observation result for cycle I 73,2in crease on cycle II 92,9. The observation result for teacher aspect on cycle I 72,5 increase on cycle II 92,9. The observation result for students aspect on cycle I 70 increase on cycle II 87,5. Students achievement on cycle I 73,9 increase on cycle II 83,3. Key words: student’s learning achievement, Cooperative LearningmodelGroup Invesitgation (GI) type

Abstract

This research aims to produce android-based mathematics learning media for elementary school. This research is based on the results of observations in the field that students' ability to communicate mathematics mathematically is still lacking. In the research conducted is research with the type of development research (Research and Development) with ADDIE models, namely Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). Learning media that have been developed will be assessed and validated by experts who are competent in their fields. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire in the form of teacher responses and student responses to the android-based mathematics learning media. Results: 1) The author has produced an Android-based mathematics learning media on flat waking circumference material for fourth grade students of SD / MI, 2) Expert judgment in material validation and media validation which gets a percentage of 95% at very valid intervals, 3) responses Grade IV SD / MI students on the practicality of media based on Android mathematics learning obtained an evaluation percentage of 87%. This value is at very very practical intervals.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe an integrated thematic learning process improvement to the model of he purpose of VCT Reportage model class III SD Kartika 1-11 Padang. The subject of this study was teacher and third grade elementary school students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative methods. The research subjects were class III C SD Kartika 1-11 Padang. Based on the results of the first cycle of the study to the second cycle, the assessment of the average RPP of the first cycle was 78.1%, the second cycle was 93.75%. It was also seen that the average score on the aspects of teachers and students in the first cycle was 80.35% and the second cycle was 96.4%. Thus, it can be concluded that by using VCT the Reportage model can improve the integrated thematic learning process in elementary schools through images.
