Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the English learning results on the procedure text material of grade IX students of SMPN 1 Atap Wanasaba. The learning model used in this research is Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The subjects of this research are grade IX students of SMPN 1 Atap Wanasaba. The number of students is 15 students, 11 male students and 4 female students. This research was conducted in the 2022/2023 school year for a period of 3 months, from January 2023 to March 2023 in the second semester. The methodology of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. In each cycle, it consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection technique is to collect the test scores carried out at the end of each learning in each cycle using a test instrument (written test). Data observation was done by looking at the student's activity in the learning process. Data were analyzed using percentage statistical techniques. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in student learning activities in both cycles, from the sufficient category to the good category and the good category increased to very good. The completeness of student learning outcomes increased from 46.66% in the pre-cycle to 73.33% in cycle I and increased to 86.66% in cycle 2. The use of PBL learning model can improve the English learning outcomes on the procedure text recipe material of grade IX students of SMPN 1 Atap Wanasaba in the 2022/2023 school year.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' ability to write announcement texts using the Project-based Learning (PjBL) learning model for grade X TITL students at SMKN 1 Lopok. This research was motivated by the low ability of students to write announcement texts that can affect school communication effectively. Therefore, the PjBL approach was chosen as a learning model that can provide an active, creative, and collaborative learning experience, so it is expected to improve students' ability to write announcement texts. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with two cycles. The study participants consisted of 30 grade X TITL students at SMKN 1 Lopok. Data were collected through an announcement text writing test before and after the application of the PjBL model, as well as participatory observation and interviews to obtain qualitative data on student responses to learning. The results showed a significant improvement in students' ability to write announcement texts after applying the PjBL model. The average students' writing test scores increased from the first cycle to the second cycle. In addition, student responses to learning using the PjBL model were generally positive, with students expressing a sense of enthusiasm and satisfaction in learning that was more practical and relevant to everyday life. The application of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) learning model is effective in improving students' ability to write announcement texts in class X TITL at SMKN 1 Lopok.

Abstract

This study was carried out because of the author's discovery that the majority of her pupils struggle with reading comprehension and lack interest in studying narrative texts. By implementing the Problem-based Learning Model with the tenth-grade students of Accountant 1 Class of SMK N 1 Keluang, this study seeks to increase students' reading comprehension achievement in learning Narrative Text. In doing this research, action research was used. The data were collected through knowledge assessment, attitude assessment, and observation of students’ presentation skill. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the students’ reading comprehension achievement. The students’ average score improves through using Problem Based Learning model. It means that the implementation of PBL model was effective to improve reading comprehension achievement of the tenth-grade students of accountant 1 Class of SMKN 1 Keluang, Musi Banyuasin.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is a national curriculum that has been developed by the Ministry of Education and Culture with the aim of preparing students to have productive, creative, innovative and affective learning skills and be able to contribute to the life of society, nation and state. However, in practice,there are still some difficulties such as material and assignments that are not in accordance with the background of students. In addition, this curriculum still focuses on mastering cognitive knowledge which is more concerned with memorizing material. Thus the students' thinking processes are still at level C1 (remembering), understanding (C2), and C3 (application). This study aims to (1) find out the application of HOTS-oriented PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning in English with procedural text in class XII TKR B at SMK Negeri 3 Tuban, and (2) find out the increase in English learning outcomes with procedure text material in class XI TKJ at SMKN 1 Kikim Tengah using the HOTS (Higher Other Thinking skills) oriented PBL (Problem Based Learning) model. The learning media used are laptops, LCD projectors, videos, power point, while the tool used is the Conventional Brake System Trainer Instrument with data collection techniques using the Problem BASED Learning model. As for the results and discussion, they will be discussed further in the results and discussion section.

Abstract

This study shows that tutoring services (BK) are essential in helping people discover their potential and achieve success in the future. The main aim of the study was to find out how counseling sessions can help people understand themselves, set goals, develop skills, and overcome various challenges to improve their future. The research conducted a thorough analysis of the scientific literature on the role of BK in developing self-potential and achieving success. The results showed that BK greatly helps people in self-understanding, setting achievable goals, and developing the skills necessary to achieve success in various aspects of life. This research can provide an in-depth picture of how BK services can help people maximize their potential.

Abstract

Bullying behavior in the school environment can create an environment that is less supportive of student development, both in the academic and social fields. Bullying behavior can hurt students, leaving them feeling unwanted and rejected by their environment. This will certainly have an effect on various student activities at school. Researchers took the title "Bullying Behavior of High School Students in the School Environment". With the formulation of the problem studied, namely "How is the bullying behavior of high school students in the school environment of SMK Negeri 1 Masbagik ". The author uses a descriptive research method of case study type. Research with the type of case study aims to know about something in depth. Descriptive research is concerned with collecting facts and data validly to provide an overview of the object under study. During the school years, bullying is one of the most common expressions of violence in a peer context. Research on bullying began more than forty years ago, when the phenomenon was defined as 'aggressive and deliberate acts committed by a group or individual repeatedly and over a period of time against a victim who cannot easily defend himself'. There are three relevant criteria for defining aggressive behavior as bullying: (1) repetition, (2) intentionality, and (3) imbalance of power. Given these characteristics, bullying is often defined as the systematic abuse of power by peers. It is recognized globally as a complex and serious issue. In this paper, we discuss its prevalence, age and gender differences, and different types of oppression, as well as why it occurs and how long it lasts, ranging from large surveys conducted in western countries and to a lesser extent in lower countries. - and middle-income countries. Prevalence rates vary widely between studies; Therefore, special attention will be paid to the definition, time reference period and frequency criteria. We will also focus on risk factors as well as the short- and long-term impacts of bullying and victimization. Lastly, one section will be dedicated to reviewing what is known about effective bullying prevention.

Abstract

The success of the educational process can be seen from the academic and non-academic achievements of students, we can also see through evaluations per semester / semester learning outcome reports. Whether or not the values of the learning outcomes report per semester obtained are influenced by the enthusiasm of student learning which is based on the motivation of each student. Students who have a high enthusiasm for learning are definitely based on these students having good motivation as well. So the focus or purpose of this study is to investigate or see the influence of motivation on the enthusiasm for learning of junior high school students (SMP) based on Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory. Data was collected through survey methods using a Likert scale questionnaire instrument distributed online via WhatsApp. The results of the analysis show a positive relationship between motivation on student enthusiasm for learning or in other words that learning motivation has a significant influence on student enthusiasm for learning. This finding has very important implications for the development of learning strategies that pay more attention or emphasis on the psychological aspects of students at the lower secondary education level or better known as junior high school.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of guidance counseling in tackling adolescent mental health problems. Adolescent mental health is increasingly becoming a serious concern because of its significant impact on their lives socially, emotionally, and academically. Guidance counseling is known as a holistic approach to help adolescents overcome their mental health issues. The method used in this article is a literature review involving studies related to the role of guidance counseling in tackling adolescent mental health problems. The results of this analysis suggest that guidance counseling has an important role to play as a means to diagnose, prevent, treat, and support adolescents in dealing with their mental health problems. Through appropriate interventions, counseling guidance can help adolescents have good mental health, improve their quality of life, and reach their optimal potential.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in ensuring the survival of the nation and state, because education is a vehicle for improving and developing the quality of human resources. In principle, every human being wants to learn, regardless of age and place, because education cannot be separated from human life. School is a means of formal education so that humans can develop their potential with the help of teachers who will direct them. The role of the Guidance and Counseling teacher and efforts to deal with student delinquency in schools. The role referred to here is a part that holds leadership over the occurrence of an event. This research aims to find out the role of guidance and counseling teachers in dealing with juvenile delinquency that occurs in schools. This research takes the form of a case study research approach used to investigate and understand an incident or problem that has occurred by collecting various kinds of information which is then processed to obtain a solution so that the problem revealed is immediately resolved. The sampling is not based on random, regional, or strata, but rather based on considerations that focus on 1 (one) case experienced by students. Based on the research results, it was found that the role of guidance and counseling teachers in schools is very important and can overcome juvenile delinquency committed by children (A) who are still included in minor levels of juvenile delinquency such as skipping school and can still be handled by guidance and counseling teachers and homeroom teachers. of course with the cooperation of parents and school. Students (A) committing mischief certainly have their own reasons for the delinquency they experience, many factors influence (A) starting from families who are too busy with work so that children feel lonely and want to look for happiness outside. , Lack of communication within the family is one of the factors that triggers problems, as is the environment that has a bad influence. The goal is to strengthen the mental attitude of adolescents in order to be able to solve the problems they face. Pay special attention and supervise any deviations in adolescent behavior both at home and at school. Provision of guidance in self-knowledge and in relationships with othersss. From here the role of guidance and counseling is needed and not only to cope with students only but help the class teacher in getting to know students in a deeper way so that guidance and counseling are moresystematic and quality. BK teachers play a major role in providing assistance Psychological and humanitarian scientific and professional given to students (counseling) in order to develop optimally.
