Abstract

Krisis moneter yang melanda hampir keseluruh negara, terutama di negara-negara berkembang dikawasab Asia, termasuk Indonesia terjadi sejak dasa warsa ini. Krisis moneter yang berkepanjangan ini menjalar menjadi krisis ekonomi, bahkan meluas menjadi krisis politik yang pada akhirnya menjadi krisis kepercayaan. Dampak dari krisis dimaksud bukan hanya terhadap tatanan penyelenggaraan negara, pemerintahan dan pembangunan, namun meluas mempengaruhi berbagai sektor dari dimensi baik yang ada pada pusat-pusat kegiatan pemerintah, maupun pada pelaku-pelaku ekonomi dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Budaya dalam suatu organisasi merupakan elemen yang penting yang perlu mendapat perhatian para pemimpin organisasi ketika mereka akan melakukan proses perubahan. Budaya organisasi sangat erat kaitannya dengan nilai, norma dan kepercayaan yang dianut anggota organisasi ketika mereka berperilaku dan bersikap. Oleh karena itu, proses perubahan akan cenderung gagal jika dilakukan tanpa mengubah nilai dan norma anggota organisasi tersebut.

Abstract

The first direct election for the head and vice-head of local government in Indonesia—or Pilkada Langsung—was successfully started in the Kutai Kertanegara regency at the beginning of June 2005. The same election will be held immediately by 225 provinces, regencies and cities all over the country. It is too early to say that other elections will gain the same succes as different areas in Indonesia perform different characteristics. The tigh competition coloring the election may also trigger the conflicts among the supporters of the candidates. However, we hope that the spirit to enhance democracy and to develope good local governance through the direct election will be able to eliminate the facing contraints. The discussion developed in this paper will cover the legality and mechanism of the election, efforts to enhance democracy and good local governance that will result in the recommendation to achieve a succesfull direct election.

Abstract

One of the urgent programs of the national development program in Indonesia is restructuring bussiness competence (market based on competition), which a has been undermanaged in this matter, management models will give the best impact for our corporation or especially Stated Owned Entreprises. Learning from this, one of the good way to rebult or recreate our management models is Good corporate Governance, Implemeneted in corporate structure level, internal and external regulation, more power in controlling and punisment, and integrated-independent-proffesional management teamwork.
