Abstract

Hydroponic farming is a promising alternative to increase agricultural productivity and sustainability in Indonesia. In Pinrang district, the Lasinrang hydroponic community has successfully implemented this method, with farmer-to-farmer collaboration, knowledge sharing, and involvement in community activities forming a solid network of mutual support. Despite this success, lettuce farmers still face problems such as lack of effective cultivation knowledge, limited access to quality seeds and fertilizers, and constraints in obtaining profitable markets. Therefore, this study recommends overcoming these problems by strengthening social capital to increase the productivity of lettuce farmers in the Lasinrang Hydroponic community. This study aims to determine the effect of social capital both partially and simultaneously on the productivity of lettuce farmers in Lasinrang hydroponic community, Pinrang Regency. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques using multiple linear analysis. The results showed that: (1) the trust variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (2) the social network variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (3) the social norm variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (4) the trust variable, social network, social norms have no positive effect together on the productivity of lettuce farmers.

Abstract

The Way Bulok Watershed (DAS) is a tributary of the Way Sekampung Watershed which is administratively located in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province. The use of land cover due to increasing human numbers and activities has a significant impact on surface flow (runoff) of the Way Bulok Sub-watershed. This research aims to analyze changes in land cover and to determine the effect of changes in land cover on surface flow in the Way Bulok Sub-watershed area. The results of research conducted show that total rainfall has increased, in 2011 rainfall was 1342 mm/year and in 2017 it increased to 1570 mm/year. This is in line with the increase in river discharge, where the annual average river discharge in 2011 was 21.69 m3/s, increasing to 35.40 m3/s in 2017. Likewise, the surface flow coefficient value has increased from 0 .19 to .27 . The land cover in the Way Bulok Sub-watershed area is still dominated by agricultural areas which have an area of more than 50% each year, compared to the forest area which is only 2,123% of the total area of the Way Bulok Sub-watershed in 2017.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of training and extension services on improving the quality of human resources in the agribusiness sector in Sumenep Regency. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, we conducted surveys with farmers who participated in the training and extension programs and performed statistical data analysis to assess their influence on agricultural knowledge, skills, and practices. The survey results indicate that most respondents reported increased knowledge about cultivation techniques, fertilizer use, and post-harvest management after attending the training. Additionally, there was a significant increase in agricultural productivity and the adoption of new technologies among the farmers who participated in the program. Statistical data analysis shows a significant relationship between participation in training and increased agricultural productivity (p < 0.05). However, challenges such as limited access to information and resources still need to be addressed in the program's implementation. These findings suggest that training and extension programs are effective in enhancing the quality of human resources in the agribusiness sector, but improvements in accessibility and program continuity are necessary to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Kosabangsa 2023 program on improving the knowledge of fishermen's fish processing in Serangai Village, Batik Nau Sub-district, North Bengkulu Regency. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, we surveyed the group of fishermen who participated in the Kosabangsa 2023 program and conducted statistical data analysis to assess its impact on the knowledge, skills, and practices of processing fishermen's catch for income generation. The survey results showed that most respondents reported an increase in knowledge of fish processing, packaging and marketing after participating in the kosabangsa program. In addition, there was a significant increase in fish processing productivity due to the adoption of new technologies provided in the kosabangsa program for the communities participating in the program. However, challenges such as frequent power outages made the implementation of the program less successful. These findings suggest that the kosabangsa program is effective in improving the quality of human resources in processing captured fish, and that there is a need to increase the sustainability of the program to achieve more optimal results.
