Abstract

Hydroponic farming is a promising alternative to increase agricultural productivity and sustainability in Indonesia. In Pinrang district, the Lasinrang hydroponic community has successfully implemented this method, with farmer-to-farmer collaboration, knowledge sharing, and involvement in community activities forming a solid network of mutual support. Despite this success, lettuce farmers still face problems such as lack of effective cultivation knowledge, limited access to quality seeds and fertilizers, and constraints in obtaining profitable markets. Therefore, this study recommends overcoming these problems by strengthening social capital to increase the productivity of lettuce farmers in the Lasinrang Hydroponic community. This study aims to determine the effect of social capital both partially and simultaneously on the productivity of lettuce farmers in Lasinrang hydroponic community, Pinrang Regency. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation, while data analysis techniques using multiple linear analysis. The results showed that: (1) the trust variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (2) the social network variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (3) the social norm variable has no positive effect on the productivity of lettuce farmers (4) the trust variable, social network, social norms have no positive effect together on the productivity of lettuce farmers.

Abstract

The Way Bulok Watershed (DAS) is a tributary of the Way Sekampung Watershed which is administratively located in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province. The use of land cover due to increasing human numbers and activities has a significant impact on surface flow (runoff) of the Way Bulok Sub-watershed. This research aims to analyze changes in land cover and to determine the effect of changes in land cover on surface flow in the Way Bulok Sub-watershed area. The results of research conducted show that total rainfall has increased, in 2011 rainfall was 1342 mm/year and in 2017 it increased to 1570 mm/year. This is in line with the increase in river discharge, where the annual average river discharge in 2011 was 21.69 m3/s, increasing to 35.40 m3/s in 2017. Likewise, the surface flow coefficient value has increased from 0 .19 to .27 . The land cover in the Way Bulok Sub-watershed area is still dominated by agricultural areas which have an area of more than 50% each year, compared to the forest area which is only 2,123% of the total area of the Way Bulok Sub-watershed in 2017.

Abstract

Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) is one of the vegetable plants that has many benefits, namely besides being able to be used as vegetables, fresh vegetables, salads or pickles, cucumbers are also beneficial for health because the nutritional value of cucumbers is quite good as a source of minerals and vitamins. Efforts to increase cucumber plant production can be influenced by many factors, one of which is fertilization. Fertilization is a determining factor in efforts to increase the availability of nutrients for plants, thus the expected impact of fertilization is not only to increase the yield per unit area but also to be efficient in the use of fertilizers. The method in this research is Non Factorial Randomized Group Design with four treatments and six replications, namely A0 (Control), A1 (Cow dung manure dose of 3 kg / polybag), A2 (Cow dung manure dose of 5 kg / polybag) and A3 (Cow dung manure dose of 7 kg / polybag). The results showed that the treatment of cow dung manure gave a significant effect on the parameters of plant height and fruit weight. The best treatment is found in A3, which is the application of cow dung manure at 7 kg/polybag.
