Abstract

The health service system is a vital aspect in ensuring the welfare of society. In the context of Indonesia and Singapore, the two countries have different approaches to providing health services. This comparative study aims to analyze the significant differences between the health care systems in the two countries. Indonesia, as a developing country with a large population, faces challenges in providing equitable access to health for its entire population. Indonesia's health system is based on the principle of mutual cooperation, where the central and regional governments play a role in providing health services. However, obstacles such as lack of infrastructure, limited human resources, and disparities between urban and rural areas are still major problems. On the other hand, Singapore is known for its efficient and quality health system. With a more centralized approach and supported by advanced technology, Singapore has achieved excellent health outcomes at relatively low costs. A mandatory health insurance system and widespread adoption of information technology have enabled Singapore to provide affordable, high-quality health services to its entire population. This study will compare several key aspects of the two health systems, including accessibility, quality of service, cost efficiency, and level of community satisfaction. Through this comparative analysis, it is hoped that valuable lessons can be found that can help develop the health systems in both countries and encourage improvements in the welfare of society as a whole.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the management of national financial performance in developing and developed countries through case studies of commercial banks in Indonesia and Singapore. This research uses a comparative descriptive approach by analyzing data from reliable sources. The results show that there are significant differences between developing and developed countries in terms of national financial performance management. It also shows that developed countries such as Singapore have a more stable and effective financial structure in managing financial performance, especially in terms of liquidity and financial risk monitoring. The national financial management system of developed countries is generally more transparent, accountable, and efficient than developing countries. On the other hand, developing countries such as Indonesia still face challenges such as limited resources and lack of effective supervision in managing financial performance. Singapore's financial policies are clearer and more consistent, and its financial structure is stronger and more stable. On the other hand, Indonesia still faces challenges in financial performance management such as limited resources and lack of effective supervision.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Timur is a vocational high school under the auspices of the Bintan District Education Office. The process of recording inventory items for facilities, infrastructure, and books at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Timur is done manually by recording them in books. This manual recording process has resulted in several problems, such as lengthy inventory data retrieval processes and the risk of lost records. The system proposed in this study can record the borrowing and returning of inventory items for facilities, infrastructure, and books in the library. This system can assist in the inventory data recording process to minimize the risk of recording errors and data loss

The learning process at SMA Negeri 1 Bintan is still dominated by conventional methods that have limitations in flexibility. This study aims to develop an Android-based e-learning application as a solution to overcome these limitations. By using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model, this study identifies the needs of students and teachers, designs the interface and learning materials, develops the application, and implements it at SMA Negeri 1 Bintan. The evaluation was carried out through black box testing using all pair testing, equivalence partitioning, and use case testing techniques. The test results show that this e-learning application has good and stable performance in various usage scenarios. This application is suitable for use as a learning medium at SMA Negeri 1 Bintan, meets the needs of digital learning, and supports an effective learning process both online and offline.

Abstract

The rapid growth in the commercial sector has turned society into an economic driver. Many corporations start by setting up a corporation to carry out their business activities. It is important for business owners to obtain a commercial permit as a business document confirming the legality of the business activity carried out. Local governments have an important role to play in granting business permits, and adaptations to the centralized regional integrated service system (OSS) have been made to improve public service. However, the implementation of OSS still faces some obstacles, including inconsistencies between central and regional governments as well as dualism in regional management. Singapore, on the other hand, offers faster, more efficient, and more conducive business licensing processes for entrepreneurs. Singapore’s government actively supports industry and foreign companies through friendly regulations and a supportive business environment. Previous research has highlighted that although efforts have been made to simplify the process of licensing through OSS in Indonesia, there is still room for improvement in coordination between central and regional governments as well as in the comprehensive implementation of regulations. In the context of research methods, this study uses a qualitative approach to comparative studies between Indonesia and Singapore. The results and interpretation show that significant differences in business licensing processes between the two countries affect the attractiveness of global entrepreneurs. In conclusion, Singapore offers a more conducive business environment and a more efficient licensing process compared to Indonesia. This emphasizes the need for further reforms in the Indonesian license system to increase competitiveness and facilitate investment and economic growth

Abstract

Research Models continue to develop or be modified by researchers. Over time, they also develop alternative models so that research can be carried out efficiently. Based on this problem, an initiation emerged to develop a simpler method, namely non-parametric statistics. There is one method that is quite often used by researchers, namely the Wilcoxon test. This study aims to explore the reasons researchers use the Wilcoxon Test (non-parametric). To provide a convincing picture of the research, a literature review was conducted by selecting articles from recently published peer-reviewed journals. Non-parametric statistics are statistical formulas that are used when the sample taken is likely to be relatively small. In addition, this method is also used to analyze data from test results, questionnaires, or other data collection instruments designed to ensure ideas and research results, regardless of whether the data is normal or not.

Abstract

This study does a comparative examination of blue carbon policies in Indonesia and Mexico, two countries well-known for their vast coastal ecosystems that are abundant in mangroves and seagrasses. This paper analyzes the policy frameworks, implementation techniques, and effects of blue carbon conservation efforts in both countries. Indonesia has enacted strong policies, such as the National Action Plan on Climate Change Adaptation and the National Mangrove Management Strategy, which prioritize community-based management and cooperation between the public and private sectors. This strategy has resulted in a rise in the extent of mangrove forests, improved the functioning of ecosystems, and strengthened the ability to capture and store carbon. In a similar vein, Mexico has implemented extensive frameworks through the National Climate Change Strategy and the General Law on Climate Change, which aim to foster collaboration among stakeholders and encourage the adoption of sustainable management practices. Positive developments in Mexico include the expansion of mangrove regions and the enhancement of biodiversity conservation. Notwithstanding these achievements, both countries continue to face problems in terms of securing long-term funding, ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders, and mitigating the implications of climate change. Subsequent studies should prioritize the improvement of governance structures, the enhancement of monitoring systems, and the expansion of successful initiatives to guarantee the enduring viability of global blue carbon conservation endeavors.

Abstract

Indonesia and the Philippines, both located in Southeast Asia, have a remarkably similar political history. Both nations are governed by authoritarian regimes. During that period, the electoral political system was established and comprehensively governed by all political components. Democracy has ceased to exist and is now closely linked to a political framework that is under the power of the government. The utilization of general elections as a metric can serve as an indication of the caliber of a nation's democratic system. If the elections in that country are conducted smoothly and citizens actively engage, then the country is seen as possessing commendable democratic attributes. This serves as a lesson for Indonesia and the Philippines to enhance the execution of elections and democracy by enacting more effective legislation and establishing a superior electoral system compared to the previous one. The electoral system is subject to constant adaptation based on the specific characteristics of each country, with the aim of establishing a system that is advantageous for the population.
