Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy and financial attitude on the financial management of tilapia farming businesses in Nagan Raya Regency. The problem in this research is based on the relatively low ability of some business actors in managing finances systematically, despite having basic financial knowledge. The research method used is a quantitative approach with 86 respondents consisting of tilapia farmers. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed online and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The results show that partially, financial literacy does not have a significant effect on financial management, while financial attitude has a positive and significant effect. However, simultaneously, financial literacy and financial attitude together have a significant effect on financial management. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.639 indicates that 63.9% of the variation in financial management can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the study. In conclusion, financial attitude is the most dominant factor influencing the financial management of tilapia farming businesses in Nagan Raya Regency. This indicates that financial knowledge alone is not sufficient without being supported by good financial attitudes in business practices. Therefore, improving financial management should be accompanied by the development of disciplined and responsible financial attitudes.
