Abstract

Developing village potential towards a progressive society requires creativity in solving local economic problems. Sukajati Village has significant potential for UMKM, one of which is the Pak Agung Tofu Factory. However, limited knowledge regarding visual identity and digital marketing is a major obstacle to expanding market reach. This article aims to describe the implementation of a community service program through digital marketing and branding assistance. The methods used were field observation and direct assistance (a participatory approach). The results of the activity indicate that creating a logo as a product identity, optimizing social media, and registering a location on Google Maps can improve the visual appeal and accessibility of the business. This program successfully provided UMKM with a new understanding of the importance of modern marketing strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

Rapid advances in information technology have transformed the interaction patterns and lifestyles of children in rural areas, where gadget use has become an integral part of their daily lives. However, uncontrolled use triggers the risk of addiction, which negatively impacts physical and psychological health. This article aims to describe the implementation of an educational program that socialized the dangers of gadget addiction among students at SDN 3 Sukamelang. The method used was a participatory approach through interactive lectures, visual demonstrations, and group discussions. The results showed an increase in students' critical awareness regarding time limits on technology use and the impact of radiation, as well as a decrease in social empathy. This program successfully provided a foundation for digital literacy for children and the school to create a healthy learning environment in the digital age.

Abstract

The May 1998 riots were a historical juncture demonstrating systematic discrimination against Chinese people, which had been constructed and legitimized through the forced assimilation policy during the New Order era. The economic crisis and political instability at the time were mere sparks; the root of the problem lay in social construction, deliberately created to position ethnic Chinese as scapegoats. This research explicitly rejects the blaming narrative against the Chinese community as a source of conflict and underscores how ethnicity has been politicized to protect powerful interests. This study employed qualitative research related to literature review and critical discourse analysis. The findings show that discrimination extends beyond physical violence and looting to repression of cultural expression, inequality in legal structures, and state neglect of the human rights of minorities. Therefore, post-riot recovery must be directed not only at upholding justice but also at restoring interethnic relations and eliminating discriminatory practices in social policy and culture. This research emphasizes the urgency of national reconciliation that truly acknowledges the victims' experiences and ensures that similar tragedies do not recur.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of social media use on learning outcomes among high school students and the role of bullying behavior as a mediator in social interactions. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey technique involving 100 purposely selected high school students. Data were collected through closed questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression analysis and determination coefficient tests. The results indicate that social media use significantly affects student learning outcomes (β = 0.595; p < 0.05), although its contribution is relatively small (R² = 0.039). Furthermore, a strong positive relationship was found between the intensity of social media use and bullying behavior (R² = 0.765), particularly in verbal, relational, and cyberbullying forms. Bullying behavior also acts as a mediator that strengthens the negative impact of social media on students' social interactions. These findings suggest that while social media has the potential as a learning tool, uncontrolled use can increase the risk of bullying behavior and disrupt social relationships in the school environment. The study emphasizes the importance of digital literacy, supervision of social media use, and school-based bullying prevention programs to optimally support students' academic and social development.
