Abstract

This study explores the role of educational outreach programs implemented by MTS Al-Amin Kampung Pajak in empowering the local community. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research highlights how the school engages students, parents, and community members through activities such as tutoring sessions, literacy programs, parenting workshops, and youth leadership training. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, involving various stakeholders, including educators, students, and community leaders. The findings indicate that these outreach initiatives have enhanced educational engagement, strengthened school-community relationships, and fostered the personal development of students. Despite challenges related to limited resources and sustainability, the programs have shown significant positive outcomes and serve as a model for community-based educational efforts in rural areas. This study emphasizes the potential of schools to act as agents of social change through inclusive, context-driven outreach strategies.

Abstract

Educational community service programs have become an essential avenue for bridging academic knowledge and community development. This study explores the implementation and impact of such programs at STIT Al-Ittihadiyah Labuhanbatu Utara, focusing on how they empower local communities and contribute to a better future. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving students, lecturers, and community members. The findings reveal that these programs enhance educational engagement, develop practical skills, and foster social cohesion, benefiting both the community and student participants. However, challenges such as limited resources and inconsistent community involvement affect program sustainability. The study highlights the importance of strategic planning and collaborative efforts to maximize the positive outcomes of educational community service. Ultimately, serving through knowledge proves to be a powerful means of fostering community empowerment and sustainable development.

Abstract

This study explores the role of community engagement in addressing educational disparities in rural areas, with a focus on Kuala Bangka, Indonesia. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that local communities actively contribute to education through volunteer teaching, parental involvement, and collaborative support among stakeholders. These efforts have positively impacted students’ academic motivation, literacy development, and school participation. However, challenges such as limited resources, inconsistent participation, and lack of formal support remain significant barriers. The study concludes that while community-driven educational initiatives are effective, they require systemic support from educational authorities and institutions to be sustainable. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating community participation into national education strategies to ensure long-term and inclusive educational development in rural areas.

Abstract

This study explores the role of community engagement in addressing This study explores the role of creative learning activities in enhancing early childhood literacy in Kualuh Leidong, North Sumatra. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis involving early childhood educators, parents, and school administrators. The findings reveal that creative strategies such as storytelling, music, drawing, role-playing, and the integration of local culture significantly improve children’s literacy skills, including vocabulary development, letter recognition, and verbal expression. These activities also promote social-emotional growth and increase children's motivation to learn. Despite challenges such as limited teaching resources and lack of training, educators expressed a strong interest in using creative methods more frequently. The study concludes that creative learning is a powerful tool to support early literacy, especially in rural educational settings, and recommends greater support for teacher training and community involvement to sustain its impact.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of teacher and parent training on improving the quality of education in remote areas, focusing on MIS Al-Afkari as a case study. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving teachers, parents, and school administrators. The findings revealed that the training programs significantly enhanced teaching practices, increased parental involvement, and contributed to more positive student behavior and learning motivation. Teachers became more confident and adopted interactive teaching methods, while parents began to actively support their children’s learning at home. Although challenges such as time constraints and limited resources were encountered, the overall impact of the training was positive and transformative. The study concludes that empowering both educators and families is essential to improving educational outcomes in under-resourced and geographically isolated communities.
