Abstract

This research wanted to understand the influence of service quality and price againts customer loyality through customer satisfaction. This research used quantitative approach. The object of this research is specified for Zodiac Hotel&rsquo;sconsumers in Bandung. The data used is primer data that obtained from 210 respondents and sampling method used is purposive sampling. The data obtained and analyzed by using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Where obtained thatthe value of Tstatistic on service quality (9.39) > Ttable (1.97), the value of Tstatistic on price (1.01) < Ttable (1.97), and the value of Tstatistic on customer satisfaction (8.49) >Ttable (1.97). The result of this research showed that service quality affects customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction impact loyalty, while the price is considered no effect on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. The conclusion of this research was a significant effect on service quality and customer satisfaction impact loyalty Zodiac Hotel &lsquo;consumers.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate influence of firm&rsquo;sintellectual capital on their financial performance and market value. The objects of this paper are manufacturing industries listed at the Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2007 to 2008. By using 41 companies sample using purposive sampling method. This study used simple regression to examinethe influence intellectual capital (Value added intellectual capital (VAIC)) to financial performances and company market value. To examine the influence of three component of intellectual capital (capital employed efficiency(VACA), human capital efficiency (VAHU) and structural capital efficiency (STVA) to financial performances and company market value, this study uses multiple regression. The results showed that only VAHU has significant influence to company market value and only STVA has significant influenceto financial performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of public relations activity and brand image on intention to buy, the case of J.CO Donnut & Coffe. The population of this study is students of Tarumanagara University who are also consumers of this brand. Sample was drawn using convenience samplingmethod. Hypothesis was tested using regression analysis. The research result showed that public relation as well as brand image influence intention to buy positively and significantly.

Abstract

This study aimed to establish the optimal portfolio using a single index model approach and Z methods. This study used a sample of companies included in the LQ-45 period February 2009-January 2013. The results showed that the portfolio returns by using a single index models and Z methods did not give different results.The use of a single index model can provide a smaller risk than the use of Z method. The use of a single index model produces 11 stocks included in the portfolio, while the Z method produces 6 stocks included in the portfolio. The results indicated Z method is more suitable to investors who have limited funds and limited time.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the gender difference in financial efficacy and financial satisfaction, and influence of financial efficacy to financial satisfaction. Based on the result is found that three hypothesis are accepted. These means, there are difference between woman and man in financialefficacy and financial satisfaction. Other result that financial efficacy gave significant impact to financial satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze income smoothing practices in non manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI/IDX) using time period 2007 until 2011. Data were collected from www.idx.co.id and Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and 73 samples were used. Eckel index was usedto compute income smoothing. The result of this research show that 22 companies conduct income smoothing practices and 51 companies didn&rsquo;t. Construction companies have highest percentage (66.66%) in income smoothing practices.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and get empirical evidence aboutvariables affecting income smoothing practices of listed manufacturing companiesin Indonesian Stock Exchange. The variables being examined were firm size, risk,profitability, operating leverage, net profit margin and public ownership structure.The study was using 28 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesian StockExchange, with a period between 2008-2010. This research used purposivesampling method in gathering samples. Logistic regression is used as the statisticaltest method. Index Eckel is used to determine the income smoothing practice. Theresult of this research firm size, operating leverage, and public ownership structurehave influence to income smoothing whereas risk, profitability, and net profitmargin did not affect income smoothing.
