Abstract

Nowadays competition among universities in attracting new students is getting tougher. One aspect that is considered to attract new students is university reputation. This study aims to examine the relationship between university reputation, university research performance, and university choice theoretically. We conduct an exploratory research design through a literature review to answer the research objective in this study. Based on the literature review, we found thatvarious studies have found the influence of university research performance on academic reputation. Similarly, the academic reputation was found to have a significant effect on the university choice. Various studies suggest that researchperformance can be measured by several variables, such as research excellence, scientific research ability, research productivity, strategic alliances through collaborative research, research quality, responsible scientific behavior, and salaryfor scientific productivity. Likewise, the academic reputation can be measured by program-level reputation, institutional-level reputation, and academic performance. Valuable contribution of this study is a theoretical model of university reputation. Itis expected that this study can be followed up with a variety of quantitative empirical studies to ensure the accuracy of this theoretical model.Keywords: Research Performance, University Reputation, University Choice, Marketing, Higher Education.

Abstract

Internet users in Indonesia are increasing, creating an opportunity for business people to do business through e-commerce on the company website. Each company would have the marketing strategy to attract consumers, one of them by providing electronic services facility or called e-service on the website. Through the role of e-service on e-commerce, companies can improve service quality through reliability aspect (X1), website design (X2), security/privacy (X3) and customerservice (X4) to attract consumers buying interest (Y) so that the quality of online services can improve consumer buying interest through the company's website. This research was aimed to analyze the influence of e-service quality to consumersbuying interest on Koren Denim&rsquo;s website, through purposive sampling of 150 respondents and analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The result showed that the e-service quality had positive influence on consumers buying interest at 38%with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that H1 was accepted and generated the regression equation Y = 5.035 + 0.440 X1 + 0.296 X2 + 0.187 X3 + 1.820 X4.Keywords: e-commerce, e-service, quality of service and buying interest

Abstract

The human needs change such as celebrate birthday party, business promotion, or memorable wedding. House of Balloon as a business in service of making shape balloon must improve their competitiveness, which is about the service marketing mix. A good implementation of service marketing mix canincrease the customer repurchase intention.This research objective is to determine the effect of service marketing mix to customer repurchase intention both partiallyand simultaneously. The data collection method using questionnaire survey for entire population and obtained the number of samples about 120 respondents whoever used the service of shape balloon House of Balloon. The research method using multiple regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient determination.Based on the results, the calculated F value (18.065) larger than F table (2.09) and the significance level of 0.000 smaller than 0.05, which means the service marketing mix HOB affect the customer repurchase intention simultaneously. Based on result of t-test that only service marketing mix product (2.833), promotion (3.541), andprocess (3.374) that significantly affect the customer repurchase intention partially. The result of coefficient determination show that 50.1% customer repurchase intention influenced by the service marketing mix of HOB, while the rest influenced by other factors.Keywords: e-commerce, e-service, quality of service and buying interest.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai dampak dari pendidikan perencanaan keuangan pribadi pada pengetahuan, perilaku, dan keefektifan pribadi dalam pengelolaan keuangan. Secara statistik, perubahan signifikan terjadi pada pengetahuan, perilaku, dan keefektifan pengelolaan keuangan terhadap mahasiswa, sebelum dan sesudah berpartisipasi dalam mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan. Penelitian ini juga menelusuri lebih jauh produk-produk keuangan yang dimilikimahasiswa atas nama pribadi, perubahan kebiasaan mempergunakan uang dan perubahan kebiasaan menabung, serta aktivitas perencanaan keuangan yang paling penting dilakukan setelah mengikuti mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan.Kata-kata kunci: mata kuliah perencanaan keuangan pribadi, kecakapan keuangan, evaluasi pembelajaran

Abstract

Corporate performance measurement will indicate the condition of a company when running operational activities for a certain period. Economic Value Added (EVA) in this case is very relevant for measuring the value or values performance because EVA is a measure of economic value added resulting from theactivities of the company or enterprise management strategy. However, be a mistake when limiting EVA only to measure the performance of the company alone. EVA can be used as the implementation of a strategy that is associated with the main function of the company. The problem in this research is to try to evaluate the performance of investment PT TASPEN (Persero) with measurement of performance using Economic Value Added (EVA), which aims to get the composition of the investmentportfolio of financial assets PT TASPEN (Persero) which provide value-added for priority. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Used in this study is a secondary data such as data accounting, financial statements and annual report PT TASPEN (Persero). The results showed that, based on the value of Economic Value Added (EVA) PT TASPEN (Persero) advised to invest with established priority that is: (1) Bonds, (2) Stocks, (3) Mutual funds, (4) directinvestment and (5) deposits.Keywords: Economic Value Added, PT TASPEN (Persero), investment

Abstract

Creativity is a factor that supports a person in entrepreneurship.Entrepreneurship should be able to increase the cognitive adaptation that has the ability to think creatively to create new ideas or solutions to solve problems and find opportunities. Students who take the course as an aspiring entrepreneurEntrepreneurship, creativity needs to be built to be able to practice how entrepreneurship. One of the efforts to develop the ability to think creatively in teaching Entrepreneurship performed using the method of group brainstormingmethod to get various ideas and new solutions. The research of brainstorming method is using experimental design. This research applied to the Department of Management students who take courses in Entrepreneurship odd semester2013/2014. The results showed that there was a significant increase in student creativity after getting treatment method of brainstorming, but there is no difference in the development of student creativity in the group treated with the method ofbrainstorming untreated group (traditional method).Key words: Creativity, brainstorming
