Nawasena Bhakti: Journal of Community Service is a scientific journal that serves as a platform for publishing the outcomes of community service activities conducted by academics, researchers, and practitioners. This journal is published twice a year, in June and December. Nawasenabhakti focuses on disseminating knowledge and practical experiences derived from the application of science, technology, and the arts that directly benefit the wider community. Abstract

The interest and understanding of class X-3 students of MAN 4 Bojonegoro towards Informatics Engineering is still low due to lack of knowledge about opportunities and basic concepts of the field. This activity aims to improve understanding and foster students' interest in Informatics Engineering through implementation methods, namely preparation, socialization, evaluation and follow-up. The socialization activity was carried out during informatics subjects. The implementing team consisted of Informatics Engineering students as resource persons and facilitators. The results of the activity showed an increase in pretest and posttest scores as well as student enthusiasm in the discussion, indicating an increase in understanding and interest in the field. As a follow-up, this activity is expected to be the first step for students to explore more deeply the field of information technology

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly impacted various fields, including education, particularly among school-aged teenagers. The digital transformation driven by AI has altered learning patterns but also presents challenges such as low digital literacy, limited understanding of AI ethics, technical misuse, and weak critical thinking skills. This activity aims to improve the digital awareness and understanding of school teenagers, especially students of class X-2 at MAN 4 Bojonegoro, regarding the wise and responsible use of AI. The method used is community education through socialization, consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages involving 18 students. The evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire to assess students’ understanding and attitudes after the activity. Results showed improved comprehension of AI concepts, its benefits, risks, and the importance of digital ethics. Students were able to identify key figures, examples of AI application, and emerging careers such as prompt engineers. Most participants experienced increased digital awareness and displayed a more reflective attitude toward AI use. In conclusion, this socialization effectively enhanced digital awareness and understanding of AI ethics among school teenagers. It also highlights the importance of school support in creating a positive educational environment for technology learning.

Abstract

This outreach activity aims to provide guidance to underage children regarding the smart and wise use of the Internet at MI Ainul Huda, Sendangharjo Village, Ngasem District, Bojonegoro Regency. The methods used in this activity include material presentation, pre-test questionnaires, and post-test questionnaires. The outreach activity was conducted over one day, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, targeting 4th and 5th-grade MI students. The material covered includes the definition of the Internet, the meaning of Digital Literacy, Internet Ethics, Internet utilization, personal data security tips, and challenges in the digital era along with ways to overcome those challenges.The results of the activity show that this outreach is highly relevant to the current conditions of underage students. This activity had a positive impact and increased the knowledge and understanding of the students, with 90% of them gaining comprehension about the Internet in the digital age.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has a major impact on the lives of young people, especially related to interactions on social platforms and the use of information technology. The socialization activity “Building a Generation of Digitally Smart Teenagers” held at MTs Baitul Muttaqin aims to improve digital literacy and increase adolescent awareness of digital ethics, the dangers of fake news, and the importance of protecting personal data. This activity was held with a participatory and educational approach that included the delivery of materials, discussions, interactive quizzes, and reflections. The results of the socialization activity showed that the participants showed an increased understanding of the use of digital media that is appropriate, polite, and responsible. They also became more aware of the risks inherent in social media, such as cyberbullying and the spread of incorrect information. With an interactive and fun approach, this program succeeded in having a positive influence in shaping the digital character of teenagers who are critical, ethical, and ready to face the challenges of cyberspace in a healthy and productive way.

Abstract

Rapidly growing digitalization has a significant impact on adolescent character, where the influence of technology and social media can shape adolescent behavior and self-identity. the activities of this study have the intention to interpret the character of adolescents in the digital era as well as to see the duties of parents, schools, and the surrounding environment in facing the challenges of digitalization. The methods used include socialization, training, and evaluation conducted in coordination with Saka Wirakartika Jatirogo. The results of this study found that there are still many parents who pay less attention to their children's activities in the use of technology. In addition, many teenagers feel that they have lost their direction and identity due to the negative influence of social media. It can be concluded that this socialization emphasizes the importance of the duties of parents, schools, and the surrounding environment in assisting adolescents to face the digital era, which aims to avoid the negative impact of technology while forming positive, supportive, and environmentally sensitive characters. Thus, collaboration between families, educational institutions and communities is key in developing adaptive and resilient adolescent characters in the midst of rapid digitalization.

Abstract

The socialization activity entitled "Building a Solid Organization by Instilling Integrity and Wisdom in PAC IPNU-IPPNU Kepohbaru Cadres" was initiated in response to internal conflicts within the organization. The purpose of this activity was to raise the participants' critical awareness regarding the importance of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity in fulfilling their roles as future professionals across various fields. The methods used included several stages: the preparation phase, the socialization phase, the implementation phase, and the follow-up phase. The results of the activity indicated a significant increase in participants’ understanding of the material, with post-test scores ranging from 80% to 90% based on data collected via Google Forms. This activity successfully achieved its target, namely to foster collective awareness among cadres regarding the importance of integrity, collective responsibility, and maturity in addressing differences following the election of the new organizational leadership.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country consisting of various ethnicities, cultures, religions and languages. Therefore, it is important to instill the values of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika from an early age, especially in elementary school students, so that tolerance and mutual respect grow in everyday life. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) as a religious value-based basic education institution has great potential in shaping students' character of diversity. This activity uses a descriptive qualitative approach with three main implementation methods, namely community education, practice-based training, and teacher advocacy. Activities are carried out through socialization, social simulation, cross-cultural games, and teacher assistance in integrating the value of diversity into learning. The observation results showed an increase in students' social attitudes after the activity. Tolerance increased from 53% to 82%, group cooperation from 61% to 85%, and other indicators such as greeting and not mocking friends also increased significantly. The activity is considered effective in building students' inclusive and empathic attitudes towards differences. The model of cultivating the value of Unity in Diversity through thematic approaches and social practices has proven effective in shaping the character of madrasah students. Although there are still constraints in terms of time constraints and teacher training needs, this approach can be used as a good practice in diversity-based character education at the primary school level.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has made the internet an integral part of human life, including at elementary school age. Using the internet without proper understanding can lead to risks, such as exposure to negative content, cyber bullying, and misuse of personal data. This activity aims to improve digital literacy and digital ethics in elementary school children so that they can use the internet safely. The counseling method used in this socialization activity uses a participatory approach with its implementation consisting of four stages, namely, preparation, implementation, evaluation and reporting. The results of this activity show that students can understand the importance of digital security and an increase in understanding of digital literacy from 7.0 to 9.55 points. This shows an increase in student understanding. This activity proves that digital literacy plays an important role in shaping internet safety behavior from an early age.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology demands early mastery of digital skills, including proficiency in word processing applications such as Microsoft Word. However, students at SMP Ahmad Yani 3 Tambakrejo still face limitations in using Microsoft Word to support their learning activities. This activity aimed to improve students’ basic competencies in operating Microsoft Word through hands-on training. The implementation method consisted of three stages: presentation of basic material, practical demonstrations, and assignment of individual tasks. The training involved around 40 students from grades 7 and 8. The results showed a significant improvement in students' ability to use basic Microsoft Word features, such as typing, text formatting, inserting images and tables, and saving documents properly. Beyond technical skills, the training also enhanced students’ confidence in using technology. In conclusion, the training proved effective in addressing students' basic technological needs and had a positive impact on the learning process. It is recommended that similar programs be continued and expanded to include other Microsoft Office applications to further enrich students' digital competencies in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Elementary school students' lack of understanding about the importance of having goals and recognizing various professions can result in low motivation to learn and unpreparedness in planning for the future. This is also experienced by students at SDN Sukowati, where several teachers said that some students did not have purposeful goals. This condition shows the need for an educational approach that is fun and in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school-age children. Therefore, this educational socialization was carried out with the aim of providing an understanding to elementary school students about the importance of having goals and getting to know various professions early on. The socialization took place at SDN Sukowati, Bojonegoro Regency, with an implementation method that includes preparation, implementation (interactive lectures, guess the profession games, discussions and questions and answers,) and evaluation (analysis of pre-test and post-test question results). The results of the socialization activities showed that students were very enthusiastic, active in discussions, and able to express their ideals in a more directed manner after attending the socialization.
