Abstract

The process of selecting potential recipients of aid for poor students often experiences difficulties because it involves many criteria that must be assessed accurately and objectively. Mistakes in assessment can result in the distribution of aid not being on target, thereby harming those who should receive the aid. This research aims to develop a decision support system that can assist in selecting potential recipients of aid for poor students by comparing two different ranking methods, namely ROC-WASPAS and ENTROPY-WASPAS. The ROC-WASPAS method combines the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) technique to determine criteria weights with the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) for ranking alternatives. In contrast, the ENTROPY-WASPAS method uses entropy to determine criteria weights based on the level of data uncertainty, combined with the WASPAS method. The aim of this research is to compare the effectiveness of the two methods in producing accurate and fair rankings for potential aid recipients. The contribution of this research includes the development of a reliable evaluation model and the provision of a system that makes it easier for decision makers to select aid recipients more precisely. Results Comparison between the ROC-WASPAS and Entropy-WASPAS evaluation methods shows that both can produce different rankings for the same alternative. This shows the importance of choosing evaluation methods carefully in decision making, because the final results can be influenced by the approach used. This variation in ratings indicates that each method has a unique approach to assessing performance, and a deep understanding of the method used is necessary to provide a more comprehensive picture.

Abstract

The development of science and technology, especially computer technology, has grown rapidly and has had a significant impact in various fields such as offices, education, and others. Computers as a data processing tool have become an important element in supporting operations in various sectors. An organization or company needs competent human resources to realize its goals, including in achieving business profits. These human resources play a role in executing the main tasks of the organization or company. However, the processing of food menu sales catalogs that are still carried out manually by employees often causes errors in the delivery of menu details, leading to errors in processing consumer orders. In addition, the control of available food and beverage stocks is also not optimal, and there are difficulties in making food and beverage order transaction reports, resulting in unclear details of consumer visits. To overcome this problem, a web-based food menu catalog system was designed at the Tonga Coffee Shop. This system aims to facilitate the explanation of the Tonga Coffee menu to consumers, improve work efficiency in the Tonga Coffee Shop environment, and introduce food menus to the community, especially in the city of Medan. It is hoped that with this application system, the work process will become easier, the performance of employees in serving customers will increase, and the introduction of food menus at Tonga Coffee Shop will be more effective.

Abstract

The expert system for diagnosing the causes of miscarriage in pregnant women is an expert system designed as a tool to diagnose the type of food that causes miscarriage. Computer programs intended as a provider of tools in solving problems in certain areas of specialization such as miscarriage problems in pregnant women. This knowledge is obtained from various sources including books and the internet related to the causes of miscarriages. The knowledge base is arranged in such a way into a database with several tables of food types and tables of effects to facilitate the performance of the system in drawing conclusions in this expert system using Bayes' theorem. This expert system will display a selection of symptoms that can be selected by the user, where each effect selection will read the user to the next effect choice until the final result is obtained. In the final result, the expert system will display a selection of user effects, types of foods that cause miscarriage, and solutions.

Abstract

This research aims to design an information system for the retention of medical records at Datu Beru Takengon Hospital, Central Aceh Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are by means of interviews, observations and literature studies that are related to the problems faced. As for the software development method, it uses waterfall and uses visual studio 2010. The informant in this study is medical record staff. From the research conducted, it was found that problems such as information systems that are still manual so that they are not effective for report information, so it is necessary to design a database-based information system. The suggestion to overcome this problem is to design a medical record retention application that is able to process medical record data that is no longer used or inactive. So that it can optimize the time for the implementation of medical record retention.

Abstract

The number of documents available in digital form is increasing. Meanwhile, one document and another document may be related to each other, but they must not be plagiarized without including the reference source. For this reason, a mechanism for detecting similarities is needed. This research only discusses similarity in documents. In this research, the technique used to solve the above problem is to use text mining techniques to categorize the documents searched according to keywords. Meanwhile, to search for documents according to keywords, the indexing process is used to display documents that are searched for according to keywords. Semantics is a technique used by search engines to match key words on one page with another page. This method has been used very often before, because it is very precise and easy. The weight values (W) of D1 and D2 are the same. If the document weight sorting results cannot be sorted quickly, because both W values are the same, then a calculation process using the vector-space model algorithm is needed. The idea of this method is to calculate the cosine value of the angle of two vectors, namely W from each document and W from keywords. From the research results, it can be seen that document 3 (D3) has the highest level of similarity to keywords, followed by D2 and D1.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a serious problem that can interfere with a child's physical growth, cognitive development, and general health. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system that is able to diagnose malnutrition in children using the Dempster Shafer method.Conventional methods in diagnosis often face challenges such as uncertainty and subjectivity, so a more accurate and efficient approach is needed. The Dempster Shafer method was chosen because of its ability to overcome uncertainty by combining various sources of information to produce a more precise diagnosis. This research was conducted at the Djoelham Regional General Hospital, Binjai City, with a focus on children aged 0-12 years. The expert system, which is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, is expected to replace the role of an expert in providing initial diagnosis, making it easier for parents and health workers to take quick and appropriate actions. The results of this study show that the expert system developed is able to provide malnutrition diagnosis to children with good accuracy, so that it can be used as a tool in handling malnutrition problems more effectively.

Abstract

Mechanics are the most important asset in an automotive company, workshop mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles when damage occurs. However, not only dealing with damage, mechanics also conduct thorough checks before damage to customers' vehicles occurs. To be able to provide satisfaction with vehicle maintenance services or motorcycle services, of course CV. Garuda Mas Motor Binjai must have good and reliable mechanics. So that customers will feel satisfied with the service provided by the Dealer. To obtain the best mechanic, of course, an assessment must be carried out on the mechanics who will work. Usually this assessment is carried out by the Dealer only by conducting direct testing on a case of damage problems without considering anything else. So that in some cases there are mechanics that are not in accordance with the qualifications desired by the Dealer. For this reason, it is necessary to build a decision support system that can help the Dealer in selecting the best mechanic on the CV. Garuda Mas Motor Binjai. From the data on the criteria for selecting the best mechanic, the results of the analysis of the SMART method from the 20 alternative data above, it can be seen that the one who obtained the best score or ranking is the mechanic on behalf of Suriono with the results of the analysis using the SMART method 0.85.
