Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi komputer saat ini sering mengakibatkan penyalahgunaan teknologi tersebut dalam tindakan kriminal. Salah satu yang paling sering terjadi adalah pencutian data yang terkandung dalam surat elektronik (email), account pribadi hingga dokumen-dokumen rahasis. Untuk itu, dirasakan perlunya suatu bentuk pengamanan terhadap hal-hal di atas guna kenyamanan user dalam menggunakan teknologi komputer, yaitu dengan melakukan enkripsi. Enkripsi surat elektronik ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode XXTEA. XXTEA adalah sebuah algoritma penyandian yang sederhana, tapi kuat yang berbasis iterasi Feistel dan menggunakan banyak ronde untuk mendapatkan keamanan. Enkripsi dan dekripsi dilakukan terhadap surat elektronik yang menggunakan server google mail (Gmail) yaitu smpt.gmail.com dengan port number 587. Namun sistem ini belum bisa digunakan untuk enkripsi surat elektronik yang menggunakan inbox akun e-mail melalui aplikasi di luar situs www.gmail.com, sehingga masih membutuhkan pengembangan lebih lanjut.

Abstract

Message security in communication is very important to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of messages. The message that is sent must be conveyed in its entirety and only delivered according to its purpose. One Time Pad or OTP is an algorithm that can encrypt messages into ciphertext so that message security can be guaranteed. OTP is a symmetric cryptographic algorithm, that is, the key for encryption and decryption is the same. To perform encryption, the OTP plaintext length must be the same as the key length. This will make it difficult when there is a very long length of plaintext, so the key must also adjust it. OTP keys also have a weakness if a key has been used more than once. Therefore a key builder is needed. In this research, the key generator used is base64. Base64 is used to change the bits of plaintext that will be used by OTP. In this study, base64 can encode plaintext to be used as an OTP key so that it succeeded in making the key generator from base64 encoding.

Abstract

Abstrak — Teknologi berkembang secara terus-menerus menyebabkan sumber daya manusia juga harus berkembang untuk mengikutinya. Banyak produk – produk teknologi baru bermunculan yang diiringi dengan persaingan antara vendor raksasa teknologi dalam memasarkan produknya. Mulai dari ponsel yang dulunya hanya dimiliki oleh para eksekutif dan pebisnis kini dapat dimiliki oleh semua orang dari latar belakang apa saja, dari yang tua sampai yang muda. Setelah ponsel, muncul gadget baru bernama tablet. Ukurannya yang lebih besar dari ponsel membuat gadget ini memiliki ciri khas tersendiri. Setelah itu ada lagi phablet yang merupakan gabungan antara phone dan tablet. Namun kebutuhan manusia yang semakin banyak membuat para vendor teknologi harus memikirkan produk baru yang mampu mengimbangi kebutuhan manusia dengan baik. Tablet PC merupakan salah satu dari jawaban itu. Namun karena banyaknya produk di pasaran membuat pembeli bingung yang mana yang cocok untuk keperluannya, khususnya para pemula. Hanya dengan membaca info produk melalui majalah atau internet kadang tidak cukup untuk menemukan produk mana yang cocok untuk mereka gunakan. Abstract

Pada setiap pemesanan yang diadakan oleh orang-orang, para tamu sudah merasa terbiasa dengan pemesanan room SPA dengan datang langsung pada lokasi pemesanan. Sehingga sebuah pemesanan room SPA dianggap penting bagi semua orang, orang-orang banyak memilih-milih room SPA yang sesuai sehingga dapat menyenangkan hati pelanggan. Banyak tempat pemesanan ruangan SPA yang dapat dijadikan target untuk pemesanan SPA, akan tetapi room SPA yang akan dipesan tidak sesuai dengan keinginan dan juga tidak terdapat banyak pilihan dan solusi pada receptionist. Banyak juga terdapat tempa - tempat yang mengkhususkan pemesanan room SPA yang dapat memberikan informasi bagi para pelanggannya dalam pemilihan room SPA. Namun pada pemesanan room SPA sering terjadi penurunan omset dikarenakan beberapa masalah. Pelanggan sering mengalami kekecewaan pada proses pemesanan room SPA dikarekan tipe dan dan jenis ruangan tidak sesuai dengan pesanan oleh pelanggan serta dalam proses pembayaran room SPA yang dipesan dilakukan secara manual dengan bayar langsung ditempat. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan sebuah sistem yang dapat membantu pelanggan untuk dapat menerima semua informasi mengenai pemesanan room SPA sekaligus membantu receptionist dalam penerimaan pemesanan pelanggan.

Abstract

Traffic signs are part of road safety equipment that contains symbols that serve to convey messages to road users or traffic in an effort to bring order, make it comfortable and safe for road users and the activities of the people around them. Obeying traffic signs for safety and traffic order is very important to avoid accidents and violations of traffic rules. Learning and awareness of the importance of traffic signs needs to be instilled in the community from an early age. Learning is more interesting with the CAI method, which makes early childhood happy in learning the material presented. Early childhood is able to understand the signs presented in the android application.

Abstract

Technological developments have made it easy for the distribution of digital data (such as text, images, audio, and video) both with disk media and through internet media. On the other hand, this convenience can cause problems with copyright protection. One technique to overcome this problem is to insert a sign (watermark) as proof of ownership into digital data known as watermarking. Watermarks can be inserted into the spatial domain or the frequency domain. In general, watermarking in the frequency domain is more resistant to attacks than watermarking in the spatial domain. The watermarking method used in this study uses a transformation domain, namely Singular Value Decomposition (SVD). Tests used to provide a blurring effect). Where the technique using Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is generally inserted into singular values based on the consideration that the singular value will not experience significant changes if there is a slight disturbance in the image.

Abstract

Every tertiary institution, both private and public, has students with high and low scores. This also happened at the Catholic University of Santo Thomas, a private university in Medan, North Sumatra. So a solution is needed that can help students improve their grades, and one way is to make the previous year's questions a reference for student learning. So, a service or application is also needed that accommodates all the questions that exist at a university such as a question bank that can be accessed easily. The Waterfall method is used for the process of developing system engineering and software in an orderly and systematic manner. This method is taken with a systematic approach starting from needs analysis, system and software design, implementation, unit testing and development. In this application, users can upload questions they have, look for questions as references, mark questions that are considered important and download questions that are needed. Where is the purpose of making this application, students no longer have to bother looking for material references through the questions that were tested before. Abstract

The development of computer technology is increasing rapidly, this can be seen in the era of the 80s computer networks are still a puzzle that academics want to answer, and in 1988 computer networks began to be used in universities, companies, now entering the era of this millennium, especially the world wide internet, has become the daily reality of millions of people on this earth. In addition, network hardware and software have completely changed. At the beginning of its development, almost all networks were built from coaxial cable, now many of them are built from fiber optics or wireless communication. With the development of computer and communication technology, a single computer model that serves all the computational tasks of an organization has now been replaced by a set of computers that are separate but interconnected in carrying out their duties, a system like this is called a computer network. In learning computer networks the delivery of conventional learning material is felt to be less able to increase student learning interest. This paper will discuss the creation of computer-based learning applications where the delivery of material is carried out using the CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) method and the material presented is about the basics of computer networks, in the process presented in the form of materials, exercises and simulations. The purpose of the research to be achieved is to explain how to assemble a computer network using learning simulations to be understood by students. The conclusions obtained Application of the CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction) method in the learning process can provide convenience in the learning process. Abstract

Economic growth in Indonesia is influenced by various factors, one of which is the involvement of UMKM. In accordance with the 1945 Constitution article 33 paragraph 4, UMKM are part of the national economy with an independent perspective and have great potential to improve people's welfare. The parties responsible for developing and fostering UMKM are the Government, Business Entities and the community, including Universities. Empowerment of UMKM through the provision of mentoring facilities and strengthening assistance aims to grow and improve the capabilities and competitiveness of these UMKM. One of the Terasi entrepreneurs in Pulau Kampai Village who has been producing terasi for more than 10 years, has marketed his products to various regions in North Sumatra and Aceh as well as other areas. The large demand for terasi  produced makes it unable to supply. This is because the existing machines are used today are small capacity. Therefore, the UISU Faculty of Engineering has provided assistance in the form of terasi processing machine with a larger capacity. It is hoped that with the use of this assistance machine, its production capacity will increase while at the same time being able to meet the ever-increasing demand.

Abstract

The allocation of scholarships is a crucial process in educational institutions, aiming to provide financial support to deserving students based on specific criteria. This research explores the implementation of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method within a Decision Support System (DSS) designed to aid in the determination of scholarship recipients at the STIEKOM North Sumatra Education Foundation. The SAW method, known for its simplicity and effectiveness, facilitates the evaluation of multiple criteria by assigning weights to each criterion and calculating a weighted sum for each candidate. This study outlines the development and application of the DSS, focusing on its ability to enhance decision-making accuracy and efficiency in the scholarship awarding process. Through a series of simulations and real-case applications, the system's performance is analyzed, demonstrating its potential to improve transparency and fairness in scholarship distribution. The findings suggest that the SAW-based DSS can serve as a reliable tool for educational institutions in managing scholarship allocations, ensuring that the most qualified students are selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of their academic performance, financial need, and other relevant criteria.
